In the standard Swiss Ephemeris CDROM a set of the 200 most interesting asteroids is included, in both the short and long file version.

The CDROMs with the short (600 year) asteroid files could previously be purchased in Astroshop, section 'software'. We at Astrodienst were not eager for such sales, we prefer it if the asteroid files get downloaded. We have discontinued these CDROMs now, and recommend to get all asteroid files only from the ftp server via free download.

The long asteroid files (6000 years) were only theoretically available for sale. We will make long files available online for download, if a request is sent with convincing reasons.

The asteroid files may be copied and distributed freely for use under the Swiss Ephemeris License.
