Saturn Conjunct Mercury
Beginning of July 2004 until end of July 2004: This transit is
a time of serious, heavy, even pessimistic thinking. Communication
with others becomes more significant, but also more difficult.
In fact this transit often means saying goodbye. You take life
more seriously than usual and look at things more seriously, but
you run the risk of losing your sense of perspective.
Your mental and intellectual viewpoint is narrowed by this transit.
You are likely to concern yourself with a smaller range of ideas,
but you are more likely to think about them thoroughly. You are
beginning a major new cycle of ideas and opinions, of communicating
in new ways. This consumes your mental energy and limits your ability
to range over a large number of topics. Also you root out old ideas
and notions that have outlived their usefulness in your life. Your
mind is very disciplined, but with this discipline and narrowing
of focus there is the danger of thinking too narrowly. You may
overlook important alternatives because of your tendency to concentrate
single-mindedly at this time. Also, with your tendency toward depressed
thoughts you may overlook possibilities that seem too idealistic
or risky; probably they are not at all - it is just that you are
thinking "small."
Nevertheless this is an excellent time for working a single idea
through completely, planning very carefully and realizing ideas
that can have important consequences many years from now....
Saturn Conjunct Ascendant 
Beginning of July 2004 until end of March 2005:
This is one of the most significant transits of your life. During
this time your
responsibilities will increase considerably, and you will try to
eliminate everything in your life that is not necessary to fulfilling
them. Therefore your life will become more complex and simpler
at the same time. You are finishing up certain tasks in your life
and going into a five- to eight-year period of relatively quiet
preparation for a new beginning. You will be cutting some elements
out of your life and working hard to complete others.
During this transit you may have less freedom of movement than
usual because of the pressure of circumstances and the need to
get things done. Old tasks that have never been completed must
be finished now. At work, you may have to exert more effort in
order to get the job done. Your superiors may give you even more
responsibility than you would choose to have. This may not be a
very light-hearted time, but it should be quite productive. But
do not start out on a completely new project, because in a few
years you may find that you do not have the material or psychological
resources to complete it. Finish what is unfinished and simplify
your life....
Pluto Opposition Mars
Mid March 2003 until mid November 2004: This can be a very powerful
but somewhat difficult transit to handle, because the energies
are so intense that harnessing them creatively may be a problem.
But it is not impossible.
The difficulty is that your own or someone else's ego energies
and will to dominate are running rampant in your life. If they
are someone else's energies, the ultimate purpose is to test the
security of your own ego. You will feel great tensions with the
people in your life and possibly have serious flare-ups.
First of all, you have to recognize that you have a very strong
drive to win, to succeed and, if necessary, to exercise dominion
over others in your drive to succeed. These feelings are perfectly
all right if you acknowledge them and use them wisely.
If you deny them, you will experience tension within yourself
with regard to others and not know the source. You will find that
people's actions irritate you greatly and that you are often angry
without understanding why. At its worst, the effort to suppress
this energy will lead to your becoming the victim of someone else's
energy. This can even lead to violence and injury, so avoid taking
any serious risks that could lead to accidents during this transit.
If, on the other hand, you let the energy out with no restraint,
you may run roughshod over everyone in your way and scramble furiously
toward the top. But in doing this you are likely to arouse truly
horrendous opposition from people who will struggle to the death
to prevent you from succeeding. Your actions make it clear to others
that you are a threat to them at the deepest psychological or even
physical levels of their lives....
Neptune Opposition Saturn 
Beginning of May 2002 until end of January 2004: This is an extremely
significant transit, but it is not usually very pleasant. During
this period some aspect of your reality will be severely challenged
in such a way that you will not know for a time what is real and
what is not. Your sense of proportion will be distorted so that
you place too much importance upon matters that do not deserve
such emphasis and perhaps ignore the matters that really are important.
And the matters that you are overemphasizing are those that make
you afraid and fearful. In fact the chief problem with this transit
is that it produces fear and anxiety for no apparent reason. With
this transit you should always keep in mind the fact that things
are almost certainly not as bad as they look....
Saturn Square Neptune
End of July 2003 until mid May 2004: This transit signifies a
time of great uncertainty and possible confusion. Your objectives
are unclear, and you may feel incapable of coping with even the
ordinary details of your everyday life. One of the best ways to
cope with this transit is to make your everyday life as simple
as possible, because you are so easily overwhelmed at this time.
This is not a time of robust confidence. You are questioning
almost every aspect of your life, particularly your goals and ambitions,
your ability to attain them and even whether you are worthy of
attaining them.
At the same time you may feel that your universe is constructed
in such a way that you cannot ever live up to your ideals. Disappointment,
discouragement and pessimism are all likely effects of this transit.
The danger is that this kind of negative thinking may actually
undermine your effectiveness in your work or other important activities.
Feeling insecure often creates circumstances in which you really
are insecure. Do not take things so seriously! Your negative state
of mind is probably not justified by the facts of your life. This
is just one of those times when your spirits seem to sag.
You should try to hang on without making any permanent decisions
or commitments on the basis of your current pessimistic views.
In a short time, you will understand that right now your view of
reality is changing in a way that ultimately should be very constructive,
although it does not seem so now. About two years from now, you
will be able to make constructive changes in your life based upon
your new understanding. This is probably not the best time to make
changes....
Jupiter in the Third House
August 2003 until August 2004: The effect of this transit is
to increase your contacts through and within your immediate surroundings.
You will not have to go very far from your everyday world to find
experiences that expand your perception of the world and increase
your level of consciousness. This may manifest itself in several
ways.
First of all, it is quite likely that through your everyday life
you will receive an opportunity for advanced training in a field
of study that could be useful to you. Your concern with communication
will increase, and you may do some writing, even if that is not
one of your usual activities. During this period, extended travel
may be necessary for some reason, but you will come out of it understanding
a lot more about your world...
...Your plans for the future will
be larger and more expansive. You will realize that many of the
limitations that you thought
were imposed from without are actually self-imposed. Also, in looking
at the world, you take more factors into consideration and plan
more effectively than you might at other times. Just be careful
not to go to the opposite extreme and overdo it. Don't commit yourself
to projects that you cannot possibly fulfill....
Uranus in the Ninth House
March 2002 until 2009: During this time you will have the opportunity
to greatly expand your awareness of the world and gain insights
that you never could have had before. But in order for this to
happen you must be willing to keep an open mind. Otherwise, you
will only be upset by what Uranus reveals, because Uranus is the
enemy of rigid views of the world. If you can remain flexible,
this transit will simply point out new ways of seeing the world,
frequently through circumstances that do not fit in with your old
views. If, like most people, you have identified yourself with
a particular point of view, you will feel threatened by this change
and try to resist this new understanding and insight.
Many events that take place now will notify you that some aspect
of your thinking is wrong. This does not mean that you are invalidated,
but that you have to adjust your thinking. At other times your
views are not challenged by others, even though you are equally
in error. At least now you are finding out what is wrong so that
you can change. And if you do not resist this process, it will
not be terribly difficult.
If you are in a flexible frame of mind, you will be attracted
to new and stimulating ways of thinking. You may begin to study
science and technology or new techniques in your work. Many people
who study astrology begin under this transit. Also you may be more
than usually attracted to radical and innovative solutions to social
problems....
Jupiter Sextile Jupiter
End of November 2003 until beginning of August 2004: This is
a time of balance and equilibrium in your life, when all your affairs
seem to run smoothly and without much effort on your part. It is
a time when you can relax and take it easy for a while, knowing
that your life is in good working order. This is also a time when
growth seems to occur without much effort -- growth in consciousness,
in your profession, in your social life or wherever you feel that
personal growth is important.
But this is not really a time when you should just enjoy yourself.
You should do that, to be sure, but you should also be examining
your life to see what needs to be done. It is important to think
this way now because the equilibrium that is characteristic of
this transit enables you to look about yourself with reasonable
calm and detachment. It is much harder to achieve a perspective
when you are in the middle of some major and possibly chaotic change.
This is a good time to achieve perspective in all possible senses
of the word. It is a good time for education, either formal or
informal, for getting in touch with yourself through self-awareness
studies, or for seeing the larger world through travel....
Jupiter Square Mars
End of December 2003 until mid August 2004: This transit gives
you a great deal of confidence and makes you feel very self-assertive.
Usually this is all right, but some people will express this energy
by becoming arrogant and domineering. Also be wary of overconfidence,
resulting in attempts to do things that are simply beyond you.
As with other Mars-Jupiter contacts, in any physical activity you
should be very careful not to take foolish risks that could lead
to an accident.
Intemperance in almost any activity could completely undo the
basically positive nature of this transit's energies. Avoid exaggeration
and try to maintain some sense of proportion. If you can do all
of this, you will be able to get more work done than usual, and
you will do it well. You will be able to accomplish things that
you are usually afraid to tackle because you feel inadequate, and
you can take the initiative when you would otherwise wait for others
to take the lead.
With care and planning and adequate restraint, this transit is
a general sign of fortunately timed action that takes advantage
of the proper moment and makes the most of it. And this is not
luck on your part, but insight and skill. All of this requires
preparation, however, because impulsive actions at this time are
not likely to be very effective....
Jupiter Sextile Ascendant
End of December 2003 until beginning of August 2004: This is
usually an extremely fortunate transit for all kinds of social
contacts. You will benefit through others, and they will probably
benefit through you. If you choose to go it alone at this time,
you will waste a valuable opportunity, for you will profit tremendously
from team efforts with friends. Also you will have opportunities
to work on projects that may be to your personal advantage; these
will come from persons you encounter every day at work or around
your neighborhood, people from whom you do not expect much beyond
the usual social exchanges....
Saturn Trine Midheaven
An approaching transit, from end of August 2004, until mid June
2005: This transit is usually characterized by self- confidence
and assurance. You are able to see where you are going now and
to obtain help in getting there. At the same time you are very
concerned with knowing yourself on a deep inward level, usually
to facilitate achieving your ambition.
This is a time when you try to rely primarily on yourself. You
will not refuse help from others, but it is more desirable to go
it alone or at least on your own. You need to prove yourself to
yourself and, to a lesser extent, to others. It is also necessary
to establish patterns in your life now that will lead to accomplishment
later on. You must develop disciplined work habits and learn specific
ways to deal with situations that arise. Here too you must rely
on yourself, because you will be able to judge your effectiveness
only if you know that what you are doing is entirely your own.
Most
people are rather conservative in their ways of doing things at
this time. You may be rather reluctant to experiment with
new ways, but that is a pitfall. This should be a time for making
careful
and considered changes. Such changes can be made voluntarily
and without much difficulty now, but later they will be forced
upon
you in a manner that may be quite unpleasant. Getting into a
rut now will ensure the survival of inappropriate behavior patterns,
which will create trouble later on....
