Christine Ruf (Germany)

Christine Ruf (1952 - 2006) lived in the Netherlands and Germany. She was a psychologist and psychoanalyst, and - with her Geminian curiosity - was interested in Astrology for many years. From 1998, she worked as a free-lance translator of astrological books and articles (English-German and Dutch-German). Andrew Clark (Germany)

Andrew Clark (21.07.1969, Alnwick, England) first came across 'serious' astrology in 1988/9 and since that first encounter has spent much of his time studying different aspects of the subject, while also trying to understand its relationship to some of the central themes in philosophy, depth psychology (especially the ideas of C.G. Jung) and modern physics. He has been based in Tübingen, Germany since 1993, though spent much of the time between 1996 and 2001 in London studying at University College London, where he gained a BA followed by an MA in German Studies. One of his main concerns is to promote the cause of serious astrology outside of astrological circles - and he believes that Astrodienst is doing important work towards this end. He is also doing research which he hopes will make a valuable contribution to the growing body of astrological knowledge.

Jorinde Brokke (France)

Jorinde was born (31/05/56) and grew up in the Netherlands; since 1975 she has lived – except for some periods of travelling and studying – in a wonderful hamlet in a French mountain area. She felt very early that an infinite variety of interpretations of the world and life were possible, and searching for elementary connections between different perspectives has always fascinated her. Whether or not by means of formal training, she studied a diversity of subjects (astronomy, astrology, psychology, Buddhism, ecology, economy, politics, literature…). When near thirty, she began a study (western) philosophy, in Montpellier, and this not only gave her the feeling of finally being "at home" in a world of thinking, but also, thanks to the structured, logical approach, gave her a better hold on knowledge and experiences gained earlier. To make a living (as a single mother of 3 children, one of them still at home), she followed a secretarial training course (French and English), and subsequently started translating (French and English into Dutch), a profession she has practised (again) full time since 2002.
