Does anyone at astro do lunar charts or anything else that would assist with

your question is easy:
the change of planetary orbit is talking about billions of years but
astrology is talking about--at most--3000 years.
any change in the following 100 years is undetectably small!!
moreover, there are always certain vagueness in astrological predictions, for
very small natural drive(that tends to influence our behaviour)are almost
unobservable and will be overwheimed by man made plans.this uncertainty in
prediction is million times larger than the effect caused by the minute
change of orbital motion.

astrology???

Gruezi, Hi!
I don't know if it is possible for you
to do that and if not well, I'll understand.
I was away from computers and e-mail
towards the end of last week and
though I had my solar return chart
with me I would have liked to have
seen my horoscope forecast for the
25th and 26th of May. Since I was
back on the 28th there was no longer
a yesterday ! on line.
Is it possible at all for you to
e-mail me your interpretation of the main transits for those two days?
5/26-1946 Lyon France 6 am
return was 5/25/01 around 5:-4 am in St Benedict Oregon but your regular
forecast without place of reference is OK for this.
I have been enjoying my daily connection with astro tremendously and it
also
gives me a mind connection with
the only family I now have. German
Swiss friends (He from Zuerich and she
from Graubunden) with whom I would have
dearly loved to have spent that last
birthday (their grandson was also born
on May 26th).
Merci vielmals.

I have very much enjoyed the site, which I visit almost daily for my free
horoscope, and the two reports I have ordered, Career and Vocation and Log
term (6 year)horoscope, both by Liz Greene. I am now interested in getting a
solar return, as this looks likely to be a crucial year for me: however the
yearly horoscope by Liz Greene does not seem to be a solar return as such,
although more detailed than the Long term report? Please advise.

I am trying to get a chart printed for today so I can see where all the
planets are, and I can't get your programme to do this, since it only allows
charts for 6 years or older. I have tried e-mailing you to ask you how I can
do this, but can find no e-mail address for you that isn't an order. In

be done using your programme, and if so, how. Thanks.

Hi there, I got the two horoscopes ordered this morning. The Career and
Vocation one is amazing and really accurate. I have cross-referenced it with
what emerges out of my psychotherapy and the reading of an amazing medium and
it is spot on!
However, I was so sorry about the second package. I have ordered the WRONG
horoscope. What I wanted was the transit (which I ordered last year). God
knows why, I ordered the other one. This may be because it isn't labelled
daily which would have attracted my attention to its nature.
I did order it last year as well as the transits and did not find it so
useful as I never look at my horoscope on a daily basis. I want to ask you,
is there any chance that you could send me the transits instead or that we
could reach a compromise on me getting what I really need?
Thanks

Alois adds: Please write email to the order department, orderastro.ch.
The guestbook is not the best place to discuss this.
Our general policy
for replacements which become necessary due to a customer error is this:
we charge 25% (one quarter) of the regular price, plus shipping cost.
So, if you ordered the wrong report (and this claim is plausible, like
in your case due to the past order history), you can get the right one
in addition for one quarter of the regular price.
If Astrodienst makes an error, the replacement is of course completely free.

First of all congratulations for your unbelievable site. I am really happy to
have run into it by mistake. I only have one doubt/question. I chose the
option travel (free horoscopes section) and selected the location New York
City. I read the transits. Then I selected Bari, Italy and I got exactly the

calculation of data?
Thanks for letting me know by posting a comment in response to this.

I refer to my message of April 24th 2001 and to your answer. I was lamenting
that the calculation of my ascendant does not fit with other computing made
by myself and other astrologists. I tried again to see what was wrong and
edited my data changing my birth place from Tripoli (libya) - the actual one
- 32°N, according to which data I should be according to your calculation a
Cancer ascendant, to Cairo (egypt), 30°N, than Palermo (italy) 38° N, Tunis
(tunisia) 36° N. All the last three trials gave as ascendant Leo, around
10°....
At this point I do think that there is a mistake in your calculation and that
you should review your computing system and correct my file.

persons, the wording is of course correct. For single charts, we do not want to
ask each user for his/her sexual preference. Therefore we assume heterosexuality.
While in English a gender neutral wording would be a possibility,
this would result in very poor literary style in most other languages.

currencies depending on the country where a customer resides.
For all countries outside Europe, we use US Dollars (USD). For Europe, we
use currently Swiss Francs (CHF), with the exception of Germany, where we
use DM.
For each user the prices apply in that currency which we have assigned to his
country. Once a user has chosen his country in the Astro Shop, prices will
only be shown in the corresponding currency. Before that step, prices
are shown in multiple currencies. This does not imply freedom of choice.
Later this year - probably 1st Octber 2001 - we will introduce the Euro (EUR)
for those Euopean countries where it is the official currency; the rest
of Europe will remain on CHF prices.

If the result of this calculation differs from what our software delivers,
I will be happy to look at it and point out where the error was made. It has
been MANY YEARS since such a calculation was supplied and the result of the
analysis was that we had an error in our software. I look forward to the next
bug, I am always happy to fix bugs if they can be documented.
However, saying that software XYZ differs from our results is a worthless
statement. There is a lot of
questionable software out there, and the calculation steps it makes are
usually undocumented and unexplainable.
Most authors of hindu astrology
software have very little understanding of the technical inconsistencies
involved in using a sidereal zodiac. This zodiac lacks a sensible definition
of the ecliptic plane, and the results are serious deviations of the Ascendant.
The online documentation of Swiss Ephemeris talks more about this problem.
The problem is that if one sticks to the 'siderally fixed' ecliptic plane
at the epoch of the ayanamsa = 0, then the current Sun does not move anymore
on this plane. If one uses a tropically precessed ecliptic plane which is
required to have the Sun moving on the ecliptic, the logic of sideralism
is broken. Ecliptic latitude is then measured in a tropical (precessed)
reference frame, while ecliptic longitude is measured in a non-precessed
reference frame. My conclusion has always been that the sidereal system is
faulty by design.
I want to print a sidereal chart. I know that in the past system choices
were offered, but cannot figure out how to access them today. ???

I am finding astrology and the movement of the planets, and our natal charts
to be much more important than I had even remotely imagined when I was first
introduced to (and hooked) on, the study of astrology. Actually, I think it
is sad that so many people are totally clueless as to what life is really all
about, and what is truly important in life, and what is trivial and justs
waste's energy. Anyway, I am feeling as if something very powerful is
happening, because I have been experiencing intensive deja-vu, people I
haven't seen in years that I'll happen to think about pop up the next day,
and there are also many coincidences and synchronicities in my life as well.
I feel as if this may very well be affecting other people as well.
Personally I am just emerging from a very dark period in my life, and I feel
as if there is something that I need to do, but I don't know what. I have a
compelling urge to help people, yet can't focus on myself quite well enough
to give yet. I know this sounds confusing, but it is very hard to put into
words what I am feeling, but I am wondering if it is just me, or a larger
number of people. Unfortunately my understanding of astrology is not
adequate enough to figure out what is going on celestially that my life is
being influenced like this, and I hope that someone can reply with an
opinion. I apologize if this ends up making sense to no one, but it's worth

Hello again, blUe Yusef,
As you see, the sun and its far cosmic fellow, neptune, build up an
interesting and nice , but sometimes difficult couple. People born under this
aspect use to live music and arts as a sort of trascendental truth or a
catarsis, for they are a vehicle to live up a fantasy and a creative energy
that seldom finds a way to link to the hard realities of life.
In my humble opinion a good or competent astrologer should be able to see a
birth chart as a whole, with its ups and lows, and show the customer a sort
of path light to get through life , making her/him aware of her/his own
psychological state and of the problems hidden underneath the surface. I
don't believe in only good or bad aspects at all. I think most of them have
an ambivalent potential. And so Sun/Neptune aspects...
Since I'm not an astrologer, I've been only by this point able to interprete
isolated aspects on my birth chart, but I still haven't achieve to make these
whole aspects work into a common action.
Concerning the Sun/Neptune square dilemma again, I could only make the
personal statement, that someone who is in posession of a great sensitivity ,
has a deep and vulnerable soul as well, and is often in jeopardy of becoming
a victim of external cirscumstances that tumble down one's personal
integrity.
It's important to see in which signs these aspects are located, but you must
keep your eye on the house placements as well. The house system puts the
personal mark to all birth charts and makes it different to each other and
shows up the meaning of the aspect in question and in which life yard it
takes over. If the planets are close to the midheaven and ascendent, the
aspect achieves a major importance and it becomes stronger.
As I told you before, I can't reveal the meaning of my sun/neptune square for
personal reasons, but if you still feel curious about, check the mentioned
house positions (given in my first mail) and read....and keep it to yourself
(*grins*).
Many music composers were born with a sun/neptune square. I have a list at
home and I can't remember all names, but beneath them are Claude Debussy,
Eric Satie, Kurt Cobain and many others...
Cheerio,
reb.

I want to get your opinion on my astrochartography info. I am an Aquarius and
my uranus midhaven longitude line runs directly through West LA, while Pluto
midhaven lines a couple hundred miles east through Las Vegas and Venus IC
runs West through the Pacific Ocean and touches land near the top end of the
sate of California, around Eureka. Based on this, I could conclude that the
Uranus line is where I best manifest my Sun sign (Aquarius) but east of that
line tends toward bad karma while west of it is better.
The other thing I realize is that the physical nature of many of these places
contradict these planetary power zones. How should I interpret this?

Rebekka,
Thank you again for the information about the Neptune/Sun opposition.
You're probably right in saying that the square doesn't operate much
differently than the opposition, and that it inclines the person with that
placement towards a sensitivity to Music and leanings towards artistic
fields. I've always found music to be a great release for my tensions, though
astrologically i attributed that to my Venus being in Taurus, which was
probably an over simplification on my part. The art thing is very interestig
also, because I recently finished my first semester majoring in the study of
Art (general), though I found tgat I had a lot of trouble with the structered
aspects of it, and leaned more towards the abstract.
Also, what/where did you find out about your personal chart relating to your
family's past??? I'd be really interested to learn more about that.
Thank you again for the info.

ordering steps in Astro Shop) or did you not? If you did not complete all the
steps, then you did not order.
I really love your site and appreciate all of the free features. It
encourages me to purchase reports.
Since I began studying astrology, I have enjoyed observing how groups of
people with a particular planet in a particular sign share and exemplify the
characteristics of that placement. Is there any way you can provide a system
of extrapolating such information from My Astro information? For example, I
could enter Moon in Capricorn and get a list of the people in My Astro with
that placement. I know this activity ignores the benefits of synthesis, but
I find it useful for learning the inherent meanings of planetary positions in
the signs and houses and general characteristics of the entire system.
Perhaps this information could be displayed as a chart showing each persons
planet placements, either in signs or houses (by choice) and one could
reference similarities by following the column down for each planet.
Thanks again for all of the good information.

Hello, Blue!
Unfortunately, I haven't any clue if any of Liz Greene's works are available
at Astrodienst's home page, since this page is abundantly downloaded with a
lot of things. I tried to catch a glimpse of Greene's books and I didn't find
any of them (could the webmaster perhaps give you a clue in this sense?).
Anyway, I found the book casually on the shelf of a esoterical library here
in Hamburg and it surelly fills high standards, as everything that this
wonderful person puts on paper. I have a Sun(9.Leo)/Neptune(12.Scorpio)
Square, what supossedly doesn't differ much of an Opposition, and according
to Greene, this aspect (or Moon/Neptune Square) is commonly to be found in
musicians and composers, and in general, in people with a great sensitivity
towards music, art and beauty. But in her work Neptune, Liz goes further and
anylyses all the psychological nitty-gritty around the misterious Sun/Neptune
aspects. In my case, I was stunned when I read the interpretation in my birth
chart, for it describes real and concrete facts of my family and my childhood
environment, reflecting my father's frustated ambition of becoming an artist,
as well, and all the projections of that fact on the development of my
personality. Telling the particular would be going too much far, I'd only
want to show you with an example how elucidating this book is, and I hope it
will help you to bring up to light those facts which are hidden or until now,
unknown to you in your way to develope your artistical skills, providing you
haven't become an artist yet.
If you take a stroll in your home town and find a library spezialised in
Astrology in your way, it won't be surprising to find it, for Liz Greene's
work is considered la crème de la crème in this field and can't be excluded
of the book catalogue of any prestigious librarian.
Greetings,

Dear Alois,
Compliments, as always to the best a(A)strology destination on the net
(only getting better).
A large part of me though, does wish that I had not a specified birth
date, place and time. Even though it offers insight into the affairs which
take place on this plane, still, it would be amazing to live without a
number.
Concerns come to mind, (it is humorous, this civilization of humans),
about sustenance and the contiguity of a healthy eco-system. Perhaps too
many are encumbered with worry about self, self doubt and personal
frustration to have any sense of belonging on Earth.
I know you are more of an analyst and a detail type science oriented
person, but I have a question about current affairs.
The world, Earth, is in a state of transition. A delicate balance is
underway. I am a citizen of the USA and the Earth. I am very concerned
about the state of human relations on this planet.
The question:How will GWBush P®esident of the FTAA, with his Mars, (I read
that his Mars is confrontational and aggressive and destructive and war
like), abstain from afflicting the world, with his inherited dysfunctional
family problems?

Boy, if your so worried about the quality of this outstanding website you
would at least list the transit orb. Im not asking for a general orb but
ASTRODIENST'S orb -which you failed to list. Thats ok though, I understand

Alois adds: Orbs are a matter of taste and vary from astrologer to astrologer. There is no Astrodienst
orb, because Astrodienst is not an astrologer. Our astrologers define their own
rules for their work.
As we list the duration of a transit and the positions of the natal
planet, and because we publish an ephemeris, it should be trivial for you to
find out the orb which is used in each particular transit case: look up the
distance of natal planet from transiting planet at the dates given as begin
and end of a transit.

I was just wondering why on Earth they include Charon (Pluto's moon,
dicovered in 1973) and yet don't take precession (the wobbling of the Earth)
into account-- making the system at least in part ~2000 years out of date.
Over a scale of thousands of years, this wobbling does change your horoscope.
It gave my sun sign as Aquarius, on the day I was born, Jan 20, 1983 at 7
minutes to noon, the sun was almost exactly centered over the line that
divides Capricorn from Sagittarius-- I'm not even close to being an Aquarius!
I have checked this in several planetaria and with several astronomical
plotting programs.
Oh, by the way, what they said about where I was supposed to feel good etc.
was right for Jamaica, and my hometown of Seattle, but completely off for
Bukhara and Novosibirsk (Uzbekistan and Russia, respectively.) Ok, enough
ranting. It's a cool system, I just wish they'd keep all the science in tact.
Ebby (visiting www.astro.ch)
--- Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at 00:34 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: You have outed yourself as rather ignorant in astronomy. The
tropical zodiac - the common astronomical coordinate system in the ecliptic
plane - is not bound to the fixed star constellations but to the
equinoctium. Charon has never been used in astrology, neither have other
planetary moons be used (except Earth's Moon). You seem to be confusing
it with the minor planet Chiron.
Our science is perfectly intact. You migh want to read the documentation
files of Swiss Ephemeris first, before you accuse us of incompetence.
In laymen's terms, the question of precession has been answered multiple
times in this guestbook.
Can you please tell me Astrodienst's requirements for an orb on a transit.
According to Astrodienst forecast its only one degree, isnt it more? Like for
example a natal Sun opposing a transit Uranus should be about eight degrees.
By this rational the transit would last for over three years (considering
retrogrades) not one as the Forecast would say. Will Astrodienst be printing
any t-shirts or coffe mugs to sell?
John (visiting www.astro.com)
USA, Disneyland --- Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 19:55 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: It is a question of personal preference for each astrologer,
what orbs he/she uses. The same is true for the astrologers who have written
for Astrodienst: the orbs vary. Usually the appendix of a report mentions
them. For the 'Short report forecast', 'Transits of the Year' and 'Daily Horoscope', we use generally one degree. Liz Greene uses more, and they differ from
planet pair to planet pair.
As we list the duration of a transit and the positions of the natal
planet, and because we publish an ephemeris, it should be trivial for you to
find out the orb which is used in each particular transit case: look up the
distance of natal planet from transiting planet at the dates given as begin

This site once was a wonder sight. No more.
The latest redesign and changes in the coding now make it impossible to get a
free partner report or free forecast for an event. I went through all the
data-entry process for two people, then there's never ever a button or link
offered for actually producing the chart. All I can get are text
instructions to go back to the free report menu. After four times through
this circle, I've given up, folks.
The webmasters have rendered their website useless through avarice,
apparently. Perhaps it's simply a mistake in the page coding, but I don't
think so. The pattern thorughout the site is too consistent. Tastes like
greed.
In either case, why would I or anyone else on earth want to pay anything more

experience today sure has blown apart my feelings of loyality, and this

Alois adds: Thank you for your feedback. It is fascinating to see how quickly a user's perceptive problems lead to outrageous aggressivity. Symptom of the trigger-happy society this user lives in?
If you have indeed a usability problem, there is a link at the bottom of each page saying 'report a problem'. Using that feature would invite you to
report your actions step by
step, so that we can reproduce and understand what you are doing wrong, or what
could be wrong in our programming.
Instead, you choose to attack us in the public with an agressive outbreak and
multiple accusations of greed (!).
Do you often have problems with your anger? Do you too quickly see red in
a difficult situation? Do you feel that the world and fate do not treat you well?
Maybe our 'Psychological Horoscope' would help! Order one today ;-)
Your usability problem arose from the fact that you tried to run a report
for a person which is not born yet. We do not support this kind of speculation,
as we only create reports for real people, who are at least 1 hour old and have
a gender 'm' or 'f'. We do not - and never have - created reports for event charts. Not for free, and not for money. Our authors have written their readings for charts of humans, not of dogs,
plane crashes or business events. We dislike seeing our work abused.
The error messages on the page -
which you apparently failed to read in your stupor - told you exactly what was
wrong with the data you had entered. The error print is small, admittedly, but at the
age of nearly 51 you might have to give in to reading glasses.
Kindly learn a lesson from gravity, friend: When you throw stones,

Having just drawn a solar chart for the first time in a long time, I noticed
