About astrological discussion forums (fora), there are many such places on the Internet. Please do a little search, e.g. among yahoo groups. In my experience, most non-moderated groups deteriorate quickly and get dominated by cranks. Moderation of a discussion group - i.e. the presence of someone who checks each contribution for acceptability - requires a huge staff effort or amount of idealistic work. You may try the usenet newsgroup alt.astrology.moderated.

I have little experience with charts which are created without birthtime.

If you do the chart for sunrise, the Moon carries an uncertainety of up to 10 degrees forward in the zodiac, and 4 degrees backward. The house cusps, MC etc are undefined, and should not be considered. The other planets have only a small uncertainety of less than one degree for planets up to Mars, and only a few arch minutes for the outer planets.

Alois adds: Not at all. Marcury is retrograde, it goes over the MC which is the end of the 9th and begin of the 10th house. At this point it enters the 9th house in a retrograde manner. Both issues, Mercury on MC and Mercury enters 9th house apply.

Alois adds: There seems to be some confusion about when the state of Georgia went from local mean time to standard timezones. It seems that this happened later than in most of the other US states, partially in 1888. But according to our database, some parts of Georgia remained on local time until end of 1902.

I will investigate this further, and fix any errors if they are found.

The free daily horoscope, in comparison, stands under the requirement of presenting a fresh and different reading each day. The 'news' factor weighs strongly here, as in other media which need fresh news each day for their audience. This requirement is frequently in conflict with the desire for depth and meaningfulness. We do our best, to present inspiring daily horoscopes, but a lot of what you find is - necessarily - entertainment.

Alois adds: Please search google for 'synodic period moon'. In the average, it lasts 29 days, 12 hours, and 44 minutes. Because the lunar orbit is highly irregular, the actual time varies between 29d 6h 35m and 29d 19h 55m (during the years 1900 - 2100).

Astronomers begin a lunation cycle with each New Moon, not with the Full Moon.

The rhythm of the tides is very complex, because the Sun influences them as well, and of course the particular situation of the coast line and your local body of water.

Alois adds: We are clearly dedicated to western (tropical) astrology. We would confuse many people by mixing tropical and sidereal zodiac offerings. Please visit you favourite Hindu astrology site for eastern astrology services.

Alois adds: The Ascendant is the degree of the ecliptic rising in the east, at the time and location of your birth.

This is a fact of nature, an astronomical fact. There is no room for opinions about what your Ascendant 'should be'.

If the natal data are entered correctly - this is what you do - and the chart is computed correctly - this is what we do - then there is nothing to discuss about what your ascendant is.

Most likely, others have computed your chart incorrectly, probably due to an error with the timezone.

You are however at 28°21' close to the end of Capricorn with your Ascendant. If you change your birth time from 12:48 to 12:54 am, then you get Aquarius. I would not recommend such a manipulation of birth time, though.

Alois adds: There is not much value in doing so, because the spacial resolution of this astrological technique is not better than 100 miles anyway. You must consider the lines as being 200 miles wide, with blurry edges.

Alois adds: You seem to have indeed a terrible problem: You project negative meaning into a text where there is none. Even in the bloom of May, you love to worry about freezing to death in the next winter. One day, the sky will fall onto your head if you don't work on changing that attitude.

Alois adds: Dear Peius, I fear your anti-Spanish language politics tends to overshadow your ability to reason.

I have of course nothing against Catalan as a language and as an important carrier of YOUR culture, that you speak it, dream in it, teach it or that your local writers and poets write it.

But the content of our horoscopes is originally written in English, NOT in Catalan and NOT in Spanish. Whoever is not capable of understanding the original language, will need to read a translation.

I am sure that every educated person in Catalonia reads Spanish VERY well. So, if a translation has to suffice, why not the one which already exists in Spanish?

If any additional effort should be made, then this effort should be to enable your people to read the English original. Teach them English! Only that way they will percieve the original meaning of the authors in a perfect way. Not yet another translation is needed, but more learning of other languages at your schools.

Alois add: Simply enter a second natal data record, where you play a bit with the time (around sunrise time) to get the Ascendant to the degree of the Sun.

It is easy, because our data entry page shows already the degree of the Ascendant.

Alois adds: Apparently you and your teachers are not aware that Hindu astrology uses a different zodiac than Western astrology.

Hindu astrology uses a zodiac based roughly on some fixed stars (different Hindu astrologers are in serious disagreement about which one of several such choices is the right one for them)

The tropical zodiac used by western astrology is based on the equinoxes - it starts at the spring equinoctial point with zero degree Aries. This is the same zodiac astronomers use to express ecliptic coordinates.

Please see the FAQ section Why do I have a different sun sign in Indian astrology? A link in the FAQ will show you how you can set up charts at astro.com with some of the most common Hindu-style zodiacs. We do not recommend it, but it is possible.

Please try to have your Hindu astrologers open their eyes to the fact that other concepts than their own exist in the world of astrology. It's an "unpardonable" shame they seem so badly informed about an essential element of their craft.

PS: Ascendants do not change with the choice of house system, by the way. The Ascendant is the degree of the ecliptic rising in the east at the given time and place. It is a fact of nature, there is no way to choose it differently, except by getting yourself reborn. But a different coordinate system measures that astronimocally well defined degree differently, of course. Therefore, the Hindu sideral zodiac differs for the Ascendant just as well as for the positions of the planets.

Alois adds: Labrador is part of New Foundland politically, but it has a different timezone history.

Until 15 March 1966, Labarador was on 3h30 west; since then it is on 4h west. It differs since then from the main part of NF.

Labrador also oberserved daylight saving time rules, though occasionally deviating from the other parts of NF.

In October 1963, Labrador (and the rest of NF) was on DST until 27 October. Therefore the date you mention has an effective timezone of 2h30 west.

Alois adds: The transits readings in our online Daily Horoscope have been extended and include Chiron transits. The Chiron readings have been created by Astrodienst staff writers, not by Robert Hand.

Regarding your other questions: I recommend to look through the astrological literature, to find somethign about 150° transit aspects, if those interest you. None of our authors has written about them.

Alois adds: If you believe to know better than other astrologers: You are welcome. Nobody forces you to use composite charts or aspects in composite charts.

Other astrologers do use them, with a lot of success, and may want to preserve their own opinion. What should and should not be done in astrology is not decided by S. Bissie, but by the experience of those who actually do the work.

For those who want to know more about the composite chart, its theory and its practice, I recommend the book 'Planets in Composite', by Robert Hand.

Alois adds: Please understand that Astrodienst staff, and not Robert Hand or Liz Greene carry the responsibility for what appears on this website. We try to use reliable data, and will add a note to the Dalai Lama chart, that the birth time is not without doubt.

From the personal impression I got from him when I watched him at a conference 20 years ago, I would tend to agree that double cancer (Sun and Ascendant) is indeed not what one sees. But I tend to trust well researched data more than such impressions.

The only difference between subscriber mode and non-subscriber mode is the accessibility of extended reading text and the extended day choice.

It is easy to verify: If you are a subscriber, logout of your profile, create a fresh 'guest user' profile and enter the same (!!!) birth data information. Then check the daily horoscope from both profiles, and compare. They will always be identical.

Alois adds: Dear Pamela, progress is slower than expect, I have to say. I cannot give a schedule for this project. It is a long way to go.

Alois adds: The reason is complex.

For most days, there are several 'candidate' transits which have a chance to become the transit selected for today's reading. It is not that always the 'most important' candidate can be chosen, because this would lead to many repetions - the same transit would 'win' an several consecutive days.

Therefore, the selection of transits is balanced over a full year, to provide variety and to avoid repetition. For the daily online horoscope, the calendar year is the basis of this distribution. For each day, always a full year is analyzed and the selection of this year is finely balanced. One single day is then shown.

For a printed 'book' calendar which starts - like yours - in October and covers 12 months, these 12 months, and not the calendar year starting in January, are the basis of the distribution. This can lead to different choices on some days.

The process is also explained in the FAQ.

In the printed calendar, you will most often find that the transit listed on second place in the table at the bottom of the day is the one chosen in the online horoscope. The printed calendar has a 'transit index' at the end of the book, where you can easily look up where you find the reading for this 'second place' transit. It will usually be one which is repeated on another day of the 12-month period, and the reading will be printed there.

Alois adds: Nothing was ever changed. The only map containing NZ is and was the world map - which is perfectly fine enough.

Higher map resolution in astro maps brings no better readings because the lines have a orb of 150 miles on both sides anyway.

Alois is: The reason is simple. On Sept 12th, your previous visit, you entered birth time 2:15 pm. On today's visit you entered 2:15 am.

Alois adds: I am afraid there is no such way. A composite chart cannot be used as a 'normal' chart because it is not one. It does not represent a constellation of planets ever actually existing on the sky. This precludes its use in many of the standard astrological techniques. You can't boil your milk in a sieve, and adding the sieve to your set of pans will not be helpful.

Alois adds: There is no unified doctrine and technique in astrology. Each astrologer has personal preferences in technique, the same way other artists have their personal preferences.

On our website, you can try the different chart styles available in extended chart selection. Some of these styles use the angles for aspects and aspect figures, with various orbs according to the author of the style.

There is also a checkbox
[ ] aspect lines to all
which overrides the author's choice and includes all chart factors in the aspect figures. The aspect figures can get confusing when you use this option.

Descendant and Imum Coeli are never included, because they form complimentary angles: Any trine to the Ascendant implies a sextile to the Descendant, etc.

Alois adds: Please go with that question to whoever told you about the time of your 'soulspirit attachment'. I think people who put such ideas into your mind are also responsible to answer the associated questions.

As this progressed aspect began already in 2003, we cannot guarantee that it will be covered in reports for 2005 or 2006, even when it keeps being active until 2006.

Alois adds: Of course we handle that timezone change correctly. Please do never manipulate birth times - our server knows the correct timezone and daylight saving time. The main source of errors is when users modify their birthtime.

Alois adds: I have met other occasions where some Indian astrologer claims to know facts better than the rest of the world. This is however not an astrological question, but a one of factual history.

I recommend you do some reseacrh: go to a good library with a newspaper archive, and read the papers of the days surrounding the supposed date of timezone change. You can be sure it is mentioned in the daily paper, often near the weather section, where things like sunrise and sunset times are listed.

Please report back to us if you find that our database which has 1 May 1982 is incorrect. Please do not quote any other Indian astrologers as authorities, but only printed documentary sources.

Alois adds: This feature is based on the birth chart only. Most likely you have used different natal data if you get different results.

But it would have been listed as belonging to Guernsey, which politically all of Alderney does.

I have added an extra entry 'Alderney St. Anne' so next time, you will find it. It is still listed as 'country' Guernsey, which is the correct political association.

You also will not find entries for Guernsey or Jersey, but you will find entries for all towns on these islands.

There are complete samples for ALL reports available online. Often, it is very useful to read the introduction and appendix sections of these sample reports to get the full picture about what is provided.

Alois adds: While hurricanes are certainly celestial phenomena - something happens on your sky - I am not sure how to deal with such weather events as collective astrological phenomena. It is very difficult to grasp events astrologically if a large number of people are affected, but they are confined to a rather narrow, and rather random geographical area, like to the path of a cyclone.

I have not been in a hurricane, and luckily the Swiss build more solid houses than the people populating the Carribean shores. My own psychological experience in the face or afthermath of storms is that of awe and admiration for the forces of nature.

Alois adds: The Sun does rarely chnage signs at midnight yiour timezone. Each year and month the sign chnage is a different odd time. The book you need to check is an ephemeris for 1953, which lists the exact times of sign changes.

In 1953, the Sun went from Aquarius into Pisces at 22:41 (10:41pm) Universal time on 18 February. Depending on which timezone you are, this will make a different local time for you. In US central time (6 hours west of Greenwich) it will have been 4:41 pm Feb 18th. Born before that, one is Aquarius, born after that one is Psisces.

This is a fact of nature.

Alois adds: Early in history a detailed chronology of events in the Bible was worked out, most famously by Archbishop Ussher for the King James Bible. According to these historians, Adam and Eve were born on October 26 in the year 4000 BC. The birth time is not quoted, you might want to assume noon (see below for further details on the time)

It looks as if the historians converted the time already to Gregorian Calendar. The day is appropriately a Friday, the 6th day of the creation week, before God rested on Sabbath.

As a location you can use Bagdad, Iraq. This is certainly close to the paradise, and as time is only guesswork, the precise location is not relevant.

You might play a bit with the time. On the 6th day of the creation week, God "created land creatures and man who is to have dominion over all animals". Considering there were a lot of land creatures to do, it may have been late afternoon by the time God got down to breath on Adam. You might try 5pm, shortly before sunset.

But this works only for websites where the content behind each link is frozen.Browsers look only at the URL for that memory purpose, not at the actual link text or page content.

In the daily horoscope, the content behind the link 'Yesterday' is different each day. It would be wrong to let your browser change colour of the link, because you read the 'yesterday' horoscope already a few days ago.

The same applies for the subnavigation of alternative transits, even when it will be less obvious to you. If you look at the link URL, not the visible text, then you will find that it says only something like 'third sub-item of today' or 'fifth sub-item of tomorrow'. It does not say that literally, but via some URL parameters like &sover=-5&hnx=1.

This link URL remains the same, but the actual content of 'third sub-item of today' changes every day. It would again be misleading if your browser changed the link colour, because you visited 'third sub-item' already some days ago.

There are various types of such calendars, and you can choose the starting date of each so that you can cover periods of arbitrary length.

Alois adds: WOW does only do natal charts and transits, no synastry or composite.

Alois adds: An interesting story, thank you. There is that idea of the Collective Unconscious as a deep large ocean of information, very old myths as well as our current dreams, including information on the movements of the celestial bodies. In this melting pot of knowledge, the myth of Danae meets with the orbit of the minor planet named after her.

Our human souls connect again and again with this deep ocean, synchronising with it and catching glimpses of the knowledge which is there forever.

It is not surprising that you also connect - unconsciously - to this collective information when you make such an important step as a name change. You chose the moment to do so, and some people believe that our souls also choose the moment to incarnate and to get born.

I would not call any of this an 'effect' of the asteroid Danae, but consider it as acts of your uncoscious self, in synchronisation with data from the collective unconscious.

I cannot say this well, it is not really my field of expertise. You will have to read Jungian literature to learn more about this concept, e.g. C.G. Jung and Marie Luise von Franz.

Not all asteroids carry such deep meaning and myth. Some are simply jokes, near random name assignments due to a flimsy idea of their discoverers. There is an asteroid Alois, #3045, but this was only named after the grandfather of its discoverer, to honour him. I have not found that in my chart, asteroid Alois carries meaning.

Alois adds: No, the so called 'true node' is the north node. The orbit of the Moon dangles a bit on the sky, due to effects from the Sun. This is why the nodes of the orbit also move about in a rather irregular fashion. If we average this fast, irregular motion out, we get the Mean Node, traditionally used in astrology. If we don't average the fast oscillations out, the we have the so called True Node. It oscillates around the Mean node, differing usually by less than 1 degree from it, in extremis by 2 degrees.

Both, Mean and True node, always are the North node, where the Moon crosses from south of the ecliptic to the north of the eclitpic, i.e. the 'ascending node'.

At exactly 180 degrees opposite in the chart is the South node; you can use the Mean south node, or the True south node, as you prefer. Because is is simply at the same degree in the opposite sign, most astrologers do not draw the south node in their charts. The know blind where it is - opposite the north node.

Alois adds: We don't know more than you do. There is currently an 'inflation' of new TNOs (Trans Neptunian Objects) going on, i.e. new relatively big objects are discovered every year. They all move slow, slower than Pluto. Whether and how to read them in charts is still unknown.

There is also no need for hurry. The content of a natal chart is already rich and complex to read with the current 10 planets.

Let me use an example: If you visit Paris in France the first time and want to orient yourself in the city, it will be enough to locate the main features, the river Seine, the Champs Elysees, the Louvre, the Mont Martre, the Eiffel tower etc. You need not to now and visit every minor street in every quarter of the town, and you need not to bother with those new streets they are just about naming on new city development areas outside the city.

Even if you live in Paris, you will never in your life need to know the thousands of minor streets (aka asteroids). Even if they build a new boxing arena (aka Varuna) in the outskirts of the town and make some fuss about it in the media, but you are not interested in this sport, it does not concern you and you never should bother. Just because something is there does not mean that it has importance for you.

Alois adds: How can the Sun shine while your house burns down?

Alois adds: Danke für das Feedback. Ohne Zweifel hat auch die raffinierteste Computerdeutung ihre Grenzen, spätestens dort, wo eben das Geburtshoroskop nicht bestimmend (im Sinne von deterministisch) ist, sondern nur Potentiale und innere Widersprüche aufzeigen kann.

Jeder Mensch entscheiden im Leben in vieler Hinsicht dann selbst, ob er sich entwickelt, in welchem Mass er die verschiedenen Persönlichkeitsanteile integriert und in die bewusste Ebene bringt oder eben nicht. Ohne Kontakt mit der einzelnen Person kann das kein Astrologe herausfinden. Hier sind die Grenzen der Ferndeutung.

Trotz dieser prinzipiellen 'Aussagegrenzen' ist aber das Psychologische Horoskop fast immer wertvoll für den Leser oder die Leserin. Selbst wenn man die dort beschriebenen 'Schattenteile' längst bewusst lebt, gibt Liz Greenes Text viele wertvolle Hinweise für die eigene Entwicklung, wenn auch manchmal nur in Form einer Bestätigung "Ja, ich bin auf meinem richtigen persönlichen Weg".

Bitte bedenken Sie auch, dass doch sehr viele, auch gebildete und intelligente Menschen erschreckend unbewusst leben, brav im angepassten Trott des Konsumenten. Ein Horoskop wie das von Liz Greene ist ein ganz wichtiger Augenöffner für solche Menschen. Für andere mag manches nur noch ein Deja-Vue-Erlebnis sein.

Alois adss: You should not have shared your birthtime with people you don't trust - the same way you do not share other personal intimate information, e.g. pictures without clothes on, just with anyone.

Once your birth time is known (the birth date and location is usually not a an easy to keep secret anyway), it can be used with any astrological software or service to look up your horoscope and read about your personality. There is nothing you can do now.

Of course, if your private information is published by someone, you can intervene, and if it is done with malicious intent, you can sue them.

Even if we would be willing to, we could not block the usage of particular birth data on our system. Changing the time by a minute or the location by a few miles would not give a different horoscope reading, but the natal data would not be identical and therefore not blocked. Under the many millions of users on www.astro.com there are actually quite a few accidental astrological twins, i.e. people born near the same time and location, who do not know of each other. We cannot begin disallowing horoscopes for the public.

Please keep your data more secret in the future.

Alois adds: It is (transiting) Pluto conjunct (natal) Sun, not the other way around. It began for you in January 2003, was exact on 21 Feb 2003, 2 May 2003 and 6 Dec 2003. Currently it is again in orb (of 1 degree), but will not become exact anymore.

Alois adds: You certainly did not read this on www.astro.com. A lot of opinions go about regarding retrograde Mercury, some of which I consider superstitious. Some people indulge in bad news.

I don't share that particular faith. For me and for Astrodienst retrograde Mercury has usually been just as beneficial as 'direct' Mercury.

Alois adds: We do, when we like to and have time. Often, unaswered question remain so because they have already been answered, e.g. in the FAQ section.

It is usually my free time which is spent for the guestbook, and my willingness varies, particularily during vacations (which I take often).

I recommend using google.com to find answers to open questions. It is often helpful and eats up nobody's time except your own.

Alois adds: I never agree to concepts which are narrow in thinking and perception. Love takes as many different forms as life does, as people do.

Some people will need Mercury for love, some need Saturn, some need Pluto. Venus may be nice (sometimes) but it does not explain everything about love.

Alois adds: In short report forecast, only the current six months, beginning at the 1st of the current month are considered. Any transit which began much before will be listed as beginning on 1st August - that particular software does not look forther back.

Alois adds: First, please be aware of the different zodiacs used in western versus Indian/Hinde astrology. They differ by nearly one full sign, for a given date.

Second, the Sun does not change signs at midnight of your local timezone, but at varying times, different each year. You cannot say '21st May is Taurus' and '22nd May is Gemini'. Near a sign change, each horoscope must be computed correctly, using the birth time, even to get the Sun sign right.

In 1984, the Sun entered Gemini on 21 May, 20:58 Universal time. That will be early in the morning of the 22nd, at 02:28 in Indian timezone. If you are born before your (tropical zodiac) Sun ist in Taurus.

Regarding the question of printed version electronic format: When your neighbourhood news agent has closed, the bookshops in your town have disappeared and you do all your reading on screen from downloaded material, then you can be assured that Astrodienst will also offer its material via download. Until then, we like printed and bound booklets.

Alois adds: When we are ready to release a new product, .e.g. a new astrological report, we often try to find a suitable release date by electional methods. We use the moment of the first sale, i.e. the moment when we produce the first report which is printed for a paying customer. Of course the software for it is ready long before, and many test samples have been run. But as the real birth we consider the first sold item.

Alois adds: I cannot recommend a book that teaches astrocartography in depth, as I do not know of any such book. There are several astrologers out there who advertise their services for relocation. It is impossible to judge the quality of their counselling. At Astrodienst, we are working with Liz Greene on a computerized relocation report, but it will not be completed before late 2005. The intermediate results look very promising, I can say.

The short report forecast is kept incomplete by design. This is made very clear in the introduction paragraph. For a more complete look at the 12 months ahead, we recommend our reports by Liz Greene, Yearly Horoscope Analysis, and be Robert Hand, Transits of the Year. These are available in Astro Shop.

We have focused on those countries where we have many orders from, or where we have a distribution partner who sells our reports there. Only about 20 countries have been covered. For m the other 250 countries of the planet, our author has not written a country chart analysis.

Alois adds: What brings and keeps people together in relationships is very much a mystery. We are all very different, and have very different needs from relationships, and different capacities to bring into relationships. We also carry our past experiences, from the family background and from our previous relationships as baggage into each new one.

I am sure that these complexities cannot be reduced, IN NO WAY, to something as simple as a numerical value, as you demand.

I am aware that there are simple minded concepts about relationships out there. But the fact that such concepts are used by some media does not imply that they any real value, beyond entertaintment, sales or marketing purposes.

Astrology can be very helpful in understanding an existing relationship between two particular individuals. But this requires an individual analysis of each relationship case, based on the complete birth data of the two partners.

If a relationship is not actually lived, but only considered as a 'potential', and if the detailed birth data (including time) of both partners are not known, the possibilities of serious astrological analysis are very much reduced.

Alois adds: The best we can offer you is the "Child's Horoscope" by Liz Greene. It must be ordered individually, and is too good and valuable to come for free. But is is certainly worth the 46 USD we charge for it.

In Free Horoscopes -> extended chart selection, you find the option to use a different zodiac for chart drawings. You might want to use zodiac setting 'Hindu/Lahiri geocentric sidereal', if you prefer Hindu astrology. However, there are more differences between Hindu astrology and western astrology than just the zodiac. For example, Hindu astrologers do not use Uranus, Neptun and Pluto, while they place a large importance on the Moon's nodes (calling them Rahu and Ketu and treating them like planets).

Alois adds: You are right, our daylight saving time table was not current for Iraq. We have fixed it.

PS Tuesday 7 am Swiss time: I deleted the 93 records in the database which contained 2004 charts for Iraq with wrong timezone, to prevent the false information to be used further. If someone misses an Iraq chart he/she had entered, this is why it has disappeared. The months April - September are affected.

You have two natal records for 'Donna' on file with different birth times. I have been looking at the one with 7.21.

Saturn square natal Saturn was the first time exact on 16 Augst 2003, 08:12 UT, then again on 9 Jan 2004, (this is 8 Jan 2004, 22:42 Harrisburg time) when Saturn was retrograde, and finally on 3 May 2004. It went out of orb about a week after.

If you use the 'extended daily horoscope extended day choice' and navigate to those days, you find Saturn square Saturn listed under 'Important long-term influences' for every day of these periods:

On 8 Jan 2004 and 15 Aug 2003 it was chosen as the main theme of the day.

Our system tries not to present the same 'main theme' reading more than once within the same calendar year, as it aims to provide variation. It does not choose the 'most important' theme each day - otherwise, while a heavy transit is going on, it would have to give the same daily reading for several weeks or months, which few people would appreciate. Please see the FAQ for more information about this.

Please understand that the daily horoscope is intended as a feature for 'daily news', like a daily newspaper. It is not the best choice of services, if you want to get an overview of the really important issues you are facing in the course of a full year. In the daily horoscope, it is easy to miss important information, because it makes no strong selection for relevance, but tries to tell something new each day - as it should.

You might want to look at our reports 'Transits of the Year' by Robert Hand, and 'Yearly Horoscope Analysis' by Liz Greene. These reports provide a special selection of the important issues you are facing in the course of 12 months. They focus not on the trivia of daily news, but on what is really important.

Both kinds of services are important, the daily news, often entertaining and inspiring, and the long-term analysis, helping to guide our way through time.

If you just want a good data overview about the transits, without the reading, I recommend Free Horoscopes -> Extended chart selection -> group Astrodienst special -> Transit Calendar

This free printout has a graphical representation of all transits (various options for the choice of planets and time range). In the graphics, you find the exact timing of all transits. The multi-page document may look a bit confusing at first, and you should follow the advice on the first page about glueing the sheets together to form a continuous chart.

Alois adds: There was no daylight saving time on your birthdate at your place. Bedford QU started DST only in 1967; before that, 1945 was the last year with DST.

The timezoine history in Quebec is very irregular, and different parts of Quebec had different rules, often varying from town to town, in the 50ies and early 60ies.

Certainly, the calculation on our website has NOT changed, unless you have entered different data.

Alois adds: Dear Pamela, we did install a stack of new web servers (hardware) this morning, and took the old ones out of operation.

This is a major intervention, and many kinds of problems are likely to appear as a consequence, the down time of over three hours aside. All user data were migrated to the new machines without apparent problems.

But please be aware that a planet is in the same house for about 30 years (roughly the size of the house, when measured in degrees, converted to years) when you direct it by solar arc. I would therefore not overestimate those placements.

Alois adds: The planets are in the same celestial positions, whether observed from Austriala or from somewhere else. To find out where they are at a given date, you can either erect a chart for that date, or look in the ephemeris files. For 3000 years of printable ephemeris files, please see the left column.

Alois adds: The Argentina government(s) are somewhat prone to rush decisions. Other countries make laws for timezones a few years ahead, making our life a bit easier.

Now, if we just knew which towns out of our 1197 towns in Argentina happen to be in the affected province, and which ones choose not to follow their provincial goverment but their neighbour town across the river in another province, which the occasionally do...

In regard to its timezone history Argentina is an un-researched area. Different sources make different claims, and many publications, also by local astrological organisations, are known to be incomplete, contradictorial and sometimes misleading (including astro.com). I am afraid we cannot sort all this out.

If you want to know our least reliable timezone areas on the planet: Argentina and Russia. Both with large astrological communities, but possible a bit uninterested in researching timezone history nationwide, not just for the capital. That would be hard, unspectacular labour of love.
