Arkiv: Gæsternes feedback om Astrodiensts website
The old feedback system has been closed on 20 March 2007 and the
Forum will be opened on the 21st.
This is more of a FAQ question rather than simple feedback!
.
The graphical ephemeris is based on the 8th harmonic (45 degree aspects).
1. Is it possible to create other harmonics too?
2. Would it be possible to include moon at some point as well?
.
Thanks for the great site. You're the best!

I have been looking at the persona charts and see that the birth date of my
father is my mars persona chart and one of my brothers is my uranus persona
chart. Relatives birthdays also appear in other family members charts. Does
this mean these people are our teachers in this area or is there some other
explanation of their effect on our lives? Also the saturn persona chart of a
friend is the date of his death earlier this year. Since saturn is
associated with death this seems appropriate and I wonder if the saturn
persona chart is always the date of death?

Liz Levy - Contradictory influences seem normal to me. Life is seldom
one-sided. Most of the time we go about our days with conflicting
influences. How often are you so clear in your mind that some opposing
position is not also relevant. Except in the fairy tales, even when marrying
somebody you may have a few second thoughts. There are many positive reasons
to marry your love but that does not ensure there are not going to be
contrary influences. Plan on there being some difficulty. How often is your
life completely assured and singularly clear? It is inconvenient truth that
opposing forces are at work. It is not Liz Greene’s fault that the universe
is constructed this way. She is just describing the astrological forces at
work those in support and those that argue the contrary. You still have to
make the decisions about your life. Do you really want somebody or some
system telling you with 100% assurance that you should do A and not do B?

I am highly disappointed and amazed at the forecast for 2007 which I ordered
from Liz Greene. Let me start on a positive note by saying I was impressed by
the speedy delivery time (via email). Unfortunately, though, I found the
outlook entirely unhelpful for 2 reasons: it is highly contradictory in
some instances, and, vague in others. Even more puzzling is the fact that
next to nothing in the reading matches the trajectory that my life is on for
the 1 year period ahead of me. To give you a brief idea, I am on the verge of
experiencing 2 major life happenings - marriage, and the commencement of a
very lucrative contract for my business. Before placing my order I read Liz's
sample online so I knew what to expect.
I would be very grateful if anyone could shed some light on the matter,
particularly as my birth data submitted is accurate.
All the very best to Astrodienst staff and readers for 2007!

With definite respect for the 2 persons who've again experienced a sense of
the negative aspects of their charts (or of Robert Hand's interpretations), I
find that this recurring topic now finally stirs me to want to contribute to
the dialogue as well.
I feel its intriguing that the same piece of work ... Robert Hands writings
made in the 1970's ... can serve with as much perceived accuracy as they do,
even 30 years later. The more common feedback complaint is not about
accuracy or relevance but about his troubling tone or negative content.
Without intending to seem argumentative, I feel differently about his tone.
It may be this same perceived negative content that has kept me returning.
In fact, I actually don't trust very long in any forecast that promises more
sunshine and cloudless days than appropriate for my climate. But I do want
the closest to an accurate prediction that I can find. There is a very good
reason to forecast rain, snow, sleet, beautiful balmy days and scorching ones
which critically raise our fire danger, if in fact that is what is truly
indicated. If one lives in a climate with a full sweep of seasonal
potentials its far better to be told what has a strong likelihood of
occurring, whether I like it or not. Giving me only the positive may lead me
to set out on a hike with inadequate provisions or clothing. I don't
consider snow routinely good or bad ... I like some days with and without.
But my activities change accordingly. Robert's writings about business,
romance, romantic, spiritual or personal pursuits to me seem likewise mostly
neutral, but by analogy they occasionally contain a warning that planning to
snowshoe on a day more likely to be filled with temperatures above 90 could
be a bit frustrating. And whether we like the tales or not its in our best
interest to hear the full story on global warming when doing so urges us to
make necessary course corrections.
For everything...turn...turn...turn...there is a season ... and sometimes
also dangers or serendipities beyond the normal cycles. There is a lot to
be said for being well prepared for either.
A wise friend once pointed out to me that every strength is a weakness and
every weakness is a potential strength. It all depends on the season, the
need, the situation, and whether your movement requires an abductor or
adductor muscle, etc. So I'm more interested in the full story. I want
solid info on both the pros and cons for something I am going to spend very
much time with ... whether its an outdoor trail book, a review of electronic
equipment, cars or bicycles, a medicine or herbal supplement, or an
astrological interpretation.
So far I experience Robert Hands writings as an attempted balance of point
and counterpoint -- rather than specifically positive or negative. Somedays
he is musical composer. Somedays he is fencing. These threads represent
opposite tensions. As in many areas of life -- the electrochemical,
magnetic, gravitational, metaphysical (and whatever other types are yet to
be discovered) tensions help maintain one's position in the center. And
when my center lives within a circle or sphere rather than a two dimensional
line - there are inevitably a lot of points and counters.
Whether I experience them as negative or positive is more a matter of what I
project onto the situation at the moment I am reading. I suspect I
experience the positive supportive side if its closer to what I want that day
and the negative it is telling me to wait for another time, to be careful or
to monitor my reactions, or if it contains some confrontive element.
However, at least for me adequate spiritual potentials for growth occur
abundantly in any season. Its often the dark, cold, windy, and dynamic
tensions which provide the best conditions for sustained growth, even though
at times that growth my be inward, invisible or underground.
Nature is full of such examples. A recent article pointed out that trees
grown in a thickly populated forest or ones sheltered by deep canyons
protected too much from winds do not get enough exercise to develop much
elasticity in their trunks and root structures compared to those living out
in the more exposed regions. When an unexpectedly strong storm comes along
the weaker trees are more likely to be blown completely over, even whole
sections of a forest. For trees that live long enough, they've witnessed
this process of dense neighbors coming and going enough to see a greater
rhythm behind the seasons of the forests or perhaps even the seasons of the
planets.
I'm not experienced enough at this point in astrology to tell whether Mr Hand
has a bias that is truly negative...but thus far I've not sensed it in my
readings. And given that I have 5 major elements in Virgo in the 8th House I
do believe there are a few reasonable strong tensions going on natally and in
my cyclic transits -- I find there are whole clusters of days which are
characterized mostly by Squares and Oppositions. Not Mr Hand's fault, nor
mine. Tis simply the design of my sky chart.
Actually, the most dangerous thing he could do is to only tell me about the
Conjunctions, Triunes and Sextiles that may sound like sweeter music to my
ears while denying the full chords and disonnances I need to be prepared to
handle.
What I am looking for in an astrological interpretation is an unbiased
presentation of those tensions, points and counterpoints which carry the most
predictive weight. Gives me the best chance to deal with the variety of
these tensions creatively. I think of it as data. Colors, Shading.
Possibilities. When I'm drawing I find that dark colors, even my shades of
black are necessary, neither good nor bad. But they create the
extra-dimensional perspective(s) that bring me closer to my reality or
life-likeness.
On the longer term influences, say a Saturn Square, one day I may think its
lousy. A few days latter I may think its merely neutral fact. The next
week I may find a strange solace in reading that the stresses of my day or
week were synchronistically validated by the mysteries of vast and distant
planets and their derived meanings translated by another earth walker 30
years ago who does not even know me. Occasionally, I may actually see the
figure and ground reverse in his interpretation and realize that the most
beneficial part of the interpretation was what I once thought was irrelevant,
irritating or negative.
I too am interested in the respectful contemplation of larger systems,
global, planetary, and universal for spiritual themes to support my depths
and meditations. Having them contain the whole grains and seeds is at times
much less tasty and I admit to hours of chasing the items that satisfy my
sweet tooth. However, my complete nutrition requires a broad range of
ingredients.
Interestingly, some reports of Ayurvedic traditions indicated that every meal
should contain a mix of sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent, etc in order
to be whole. Do you think that perhaps holding together the postives and
negatives in astrology is another manifestation of the micro/macrocosmic
order of wholeness? If so, then the goal behind a body of work such as his
might be to disclose as best he can the the full menu so I or you can work
within it to realistically meet our needs and hopefully a few of our
pleasures.

Thank you Astrodienst for your generous website. I've enjoyed checkiing in
regularly for a couple of years and have learned a great deal.
I find, however, that I visit the site less often because the Robert Hand
interpretations seem so negative to me. I sat down today to write to you
about it, and noticed someone else has recently written about the same
thing.I feel that these interpretations leave little room for the positive
responses we are capable of as we grow spiritually.
Thank you for receiving my comment. E. Smith

Hello Astro Team,
As a frequent and long time user of your website, I wanted to share with you
some thoughts. Thank you for the opportunity.
I had just been thinking about the upcoming transits as the new year is upon
us and thought to myself, 'astro.com needs to update their transit readings'.
Today, as I was reading your feedback section, I noticed the message about
Robert Hand and his work with Astrodienst. You noted: the transit text for
which Astrodienst holds the worldwide exclusive rights was in fact written in
the 1970ies..and I had an 'aha' moment. I adore Robert Hand's work and have
lived with his Planets in Transit book for over 25 years but I just have to
wonder whether or not these readings need some updating? As I read through
your daily readings and Robert's book, I tend to feel the negative
'possiblities' strongly...almost fear based rather than love based...whereas,
in the age of 'positive thinking' and using the laws of the universe, is not
our perception of 'what can be' the most important part of the reading? And
should not that perception be framed in the most positive way as possible? I
think that by viewing and focussing on only the best possiblities, we are
immediately closer to making it a reality. I wonder if it's time for a 2007
version of Planets in Transit...our own perception of each planets' influence
has changed to some degree since the '70's. Astrologers are expanding the
art and science continually...by asking more questions, by gathering and
sharing their own experiences etc. I just think that a conversation needs to
begin. And I'm ready to put in my 2 cents! Thanks for listening. Happy New
Year and thank you for a wonderful website!

Hi-
I am amazed and overjoyed with how incredibly accurate your relationship
reports are. I am just disappointed with the price. Its FAR too much to pay
49.95 for each report... it's only an automatically generated report.
I'd gladly pay 5 or even 9 for a report, and then I would buy reports for
myself with EVERY person I know the cost of my buying many lower-priced
reports would then add up to be more than 49.95 in the end.

HI there. I just wanted to bring to your attention that your Astro Click
Portrait section would be so much more valuable if you included significant
(tight) aspects ..of the less common sort. Im talking about quincunxes,
semi-sextiles and the like. There have been some uncannily accurate details
about my personality pointed out in the aspect descriptions of
Thefutureminders.coms FREE Compatibility Romance report...I love how they
show that these to-the-point description doesnt Just apply to the aspect you
have...but to the conjunction and hard apsects too, or to the trines and
harmonious aspects, too. For example, it shows **Venus conjunct or in hard
aspect to Saturn**---when I have Venus Quincunx Saturn (but at a very tight
orb), heres their description: You at times can seem cool, emotionally
distant and
unavailable, or disinterested in people, but this is only a
mask. Inwardly, you are apt to feel unlovable, unworthy, or
simply afraid to open up...Learning to be more playful, and to
overcome your fears of intimacy and your tendency to isolate
yourself...challenge in life...
Nowhere in my report on this site was that aspect and my Venus Quincunx
Neptune aspect included. Also itd be nice to see a better interpretation of
the **Saturn conjunct or in hard aspect to Neptune** aspects (astro.coms
report shows it as unable to be described b/c it applies to too many people
and is too general, but i disagree..) Thefutureminders says..You are prone to
experience a lot of doubt, worry
over imaginary difficulties, and an overly acute sense of
spiritual duty which generates feelings of guilt or inadequacy
within you both from time to time. You also tend to be extremely
hard on yoursf when you cannot live your ideals. However,
all of this is likely to motivate you to delve deeply into
spiritual questing, and to take the transcendental or inner
mysteries of life quite seriously. I also like how in this report, where they
compare the common aspects between two charts, they say that b/c Saturn is in
hard aspect to Neptune in my chart, and soft in PersonBs chart..Both of you
need a fair amount of solitude and time for inner reflection. PersonA,
especially, feels this urge, and may require or feel compelled to renounce
the world in order to concentrate on the inner life or spiritual renewal.
PersonA may experience a sharp dichotomy between everyday, mundane life and
higher pursuits, and may fantasize or even attempt to abandon material
concerns and demands. PersonB is more able to integrate the spiritual with
the practical everyday life and thus can help PersonA learn to do this as
well.
I dont know if it would be better for you to develop a free report similar to
that one (btw Tarot.com has the same report, but they call it Romance
Compatibility Report it is under 'Samples' under Astrology Reports) where two
charts are compared for similar aspects, or if it would just be better to
integrate all this fascinating information into the Astro Click Portraits
descriptions of the Aspects in the chart...for sure, though, I would love it
if you included the less commonly used aspect, but still as important
(especially if tight in orb) into that report b/c there are so many people
who are missing out on reading about those. Thefutureminders.com is not all
that popular. Even more likely to be missed is a sample report out of 5
others from Tarot.com Even less likely is anyone to see this..if it never
occurs to them that they could analyze the aspects in their own chart by
using two identical profiles of themselves for the report.
Truthfully, Im just really tired of skeptics, or even people who havent
really been all that amazed by astrology ..and I think this would be a great
chance to impress the public, especially being such a popular website--you
have the power to do this.
I also wanted to put in the spotlight my favorite website =) AsiaFlash.com
because its truly extraordinary and I think its a very interesting find.
Theyve revealed so many things about me using my first name and surname, and
theyve even combined it with my western and chinese zodiac signs. They have
400+ free reports. It really is quite a find. Maybe you could, I dunno, team
up, with the webmaster of that site, obviously he knows a great deal, and
provide more goodies for the public so that we can become aware of these
things/this knowledge?
All Im saying is that skeptics come to you first in trying to prove or
disprove astrology to themselves--and I think you should take maximum
advantage of that, and make sure that youre being effective in sharing with
the world the richest of Astrologys treasures.

Hello,
I want to say, this website is really great, I visit it everyday and helped
me a lot. I have two questions if someone wants to help. The first one might

degree??? The second question is where I could find a way to provide a
gauquelin sector chart??? Thanks in advance!
Gheorghe S i r i u s
Bucharest, Romania --- Monday, December 18, 2006 at 22:53 Universal Time
Alois adds: The second first: Free horoscopes -> extended chart selection -> chart drawing style
-> Gauquelin sector chart
Most astrologers who hold a doctor's degree got it in a different field, though
this is sometimes related and possibly their doctor theses had actually an
astrological subject. One example is Dr. Peter Niehenke, former president
of the german astrological association. His thesis dealt with statistical
research into astrological claims - with negative results, mostly. For myself,
my PhD work was in solid
state physics and was not related to astrology at all, even when I practised
and studied astrology on the side at that time (up to 1981).
I would not call myself an astrologer, as this is not my profession - I do not
read charts for a living. I am
professional in computer science and computer applications which deal with
astrology.
I know quite a few astrologers holding doctor degrees, but not
in astrology, because it is rarely accepted as a valid field in academic
science. It will come, don't worry. We are going strong.

Regarding Part of Fortune, there are two ways to figure it. The original
fixed formula:
Fortune = Asc + Moon - Sun.
And new formulas based on whether the Sun is above or below the horizon.
Day Births: Fortune = Ascendant + Moon - Sun
Night Births: Fortune = Ascendant + Sun - Moon

I can generate our composite but I want to add in the grandson, too. I

I have a question that I have encountered confusion on two times recently.
Astro.com shows my part of fortune to be in Cancer and two professional
astrologers tell me my part of Fortune is in Scorpio in my 8th house. Before
it was in Cancer in my 5th house. Kepler appears to be a program that
requires money each time. Does anybody know where you can access Kepler for
free? And WHICH is accurate?
I also wish that astro (Thou it DOES HAVE MANY Freebies I love) would let us
do SYNASTRY for COMPOSITES, etc.

Is it possible to get Astrodiensts snail mail address?
You have some products I'd like to purchase yet as I have already been a
victim of identity theft I do not use on line purchase options. I still pay
the old fashioned way by money order via snail mail as well as customers to
my own web site do.
Some day I might feel confident again about utilizing a more secure internet

Thanks for your assistance.

Alois adds: Just use our online shop. In the checkout area you will be able to
choose payment methods, and - depending upon place of residence - you will
find cheque, money order or 'cash in registered letter' among them. Precise
instruction about how and where to mail are included.
Quite a few people send us (US only) money orders or cash in registered
letters, or even unregistered ones. We process all this faithfully and
problems come up very rarely.
Aside of that, our homepage has in the left column the link 'phone fax
address' to our address details. And in the FAQ section, you find the same
information about payment methods as I mentioned above.
Hi and thank you for your site, but I have one problem when reading my daily

5:56am the next day(tuesday) in Sydney, and I would most likely be asleep by
that time, please explain how I should read the forecast. Thanks,

Hi there - your website is truly a godsend - thankyou gods. On a more mundane
level can you tell me if it is possible, if based in UK, to pay for your

considerably (25%) cheaper and presumably you would recieve the same
amount???? Thanks for any explanation of the maths. With immeasurable

Alois adds: All Europeans pay our Euro prices, I am afraid. We still
count the UK as part of Europe. Our cost happens to be in Europe as well.
You may want to tell us that we need to increase our US prices by 25% to
compensate for the dollar weakness. We
have to look into that at some point, but we try to hold it off in the
interest of our overseas sales.
Regarding you personally, I doubt that your income has dropped due to the
weak dollar. In fact, the pound has risen against the Euro recently, so you
do have an advantage over the rest of Europe. Please, have mercy on your
american brothers and sisters! We do.
Leider ist das Horoskop viel zu allgemein und nicht auf die jeweilige Person

I have been using the whole house system (which is the ancient Helenistic
system that Robt Hand now prefers) and find it to be the most accurate. Push
all your planets of the same sign into the house ruled by that sign in your
chart - also you can set your data in your astro software to do this for you
by choosing the Vedic system. It will surprise you. This will show you then 0
degrees on the cusp of every house. Try it! A world of new meaning will
unfold before your very eyes. Emily

For the Relationship and Psychological horoscopes - do these give a picture
of the present circumstances or circumstances in general? The details are
eerily relevant to today and I wonder if either was ordered again say 3 years
from now would the details differ? Also, in the relationship horoscope, is
the scope focused more heavily on the individual entered first? It appears
this way to me, and even when I purchased the reversed version of the
original the text seemed to be weighted to my part of the relationship.
Curious to know....

My Mars and Uranus are in an almost perfect sextile, yet you tell me that the
Moon was conjunct my Mars yesterday, 4/12/06, at 15H24 and will be conjunct
my Uranus tomorrow, 6/12/06, at 18H59. The former is no doubt correct.
Please do adjust your headstrong computer. The Sun hitting my T-square every
year about this time is bad enough : this time it killed the motor of my very

I love your site and enjoy the ease at which I can use it for my own casting,
but, I just read a free forecast report for the next 6 months starting
December 06 to around May or June 06. I found an error! It states, when
casting, that Mercury is in retrograde, this is simply not true for December.
Mercury turned direct on November 17, 2006, this causes barely a shadow to
have it effect my reading. Because I am Gemini with Gemini moon this could
cause my reading to be completely incorect alltogether. I am telling you this
because it is important to have correct information, as much as we can, to
forcast as likely as possible. Please contact me with any information on this
matter. Thank-you for your time.

Alois adds: I don't know what you have been reading, but certainly not the
Short report forecast on astro.com. It certainly does not talk about Mercury
being retrograde at this time. If anything, then Mercury is retrograde in your

To Tom Jacobs - You state that the archetype of Lilith, the Black Moon, has
emerged as one critical to many people looking to understand and heal
themselves, and that consequently it is critical to know its true position.
Just wondering why you believe this to be the case. I don't use Lilith at
all, because when I've placed it in my own chart or those of other people I
know well, I haven't seen anything approaching the significance that you and
some others give it. I've read up on it, and have yet to be convinced that
it should be an integral part of a chart. Can you convince me otherwise?
It seems to me that, with all the asteroids and Transneptunian points that
exist, you've got to draw the line somewhere. Everything can't have meaning,
much less importance. For example, I used to put Ceres into charts for
years, along with the other big asteroids, and stopped using them because I
found they didn't appear to contribute anything to the reading of a chart.
I'm not finding that to have changed, just because scientists have now
decided that Ceres is a planet. Likewise, I'm not finding that Pluto is
unimportant, just because scientists have belatedly decided that it's not a
planet. I also find that Chiron is very important, regardless of its small
size. But the Black Moon Lilith? Not so far.
