I would like to thank you for the information you make available to everyone.
It has made it easier for me to start to understand myself and others close
to me through interpreting our charts. Alot of the chart choices I don't
understand yet, but I have time, and I enjoy looking through them never the
less.

Folow the signs in order starting at leo. Look at the planetary rulerships.
sun rules leo, mercury rules virgo, venus rules libra, mars traditionally
ruled scorpio, jupiter rules sagittariesu, saturn rules capricorn. In case
anyone didnt notice, this is the the actual order of the planets from the sun
out to saturn in our solar system. It works the same if you go in the other
direction from leo looking at sign/planetary rulerships. Supposedly planets
were assigned to signs based on characteristics of that planet matching that
sign. Can't be true. The zodiac is an ancient map of the solar system. Pretty
cool.

my natal Uranus, which seems worthy to have as the aspect of the day, and yet
my horoscope has moon opposite my sun, weak effect which rolls around every

Greetings and thanks. My mother insists my younger twin brothers (1) born 18
April 1958 @ 2150, (2) 18 April 1958 @ 2159 have different details to what I
got from you guys, namely that (1) has sun in 4th house and (2) in 3rd house
as well as they having moon in Leo. She uses Koch house system and maybe?)
siderial. Can you explain for me as I love your transits etc. but she says
even they are wrong.
Hope I'm not being painful but she is very loud Scorpio sun with Leo rising
and moon and tells me lots of stuf f about me that sounds like her!

Alois adds: Please have a look at the charts, via Free Horoscopes -> Chart
drawing. One of the two has the Sun in 3rd (but within one degree of the IC),
the other has the Sun in the fourth house.
Many astrologers, including us, would read a Sun so close to the house cusp
as belonging to the next house. But there is room for different opinions.
If you use 'Astroclick Portrait' for the reading, it will give you both
variants.
The Leo Moon is utter nonsense, in ANY system. Moon was in Aries on that
day, as any look in an ephemeris will show,
Aside of that, if anyone claims our charts are incorrect: let him/her
explain, why. That is not our task.
An older woman may be entitled to hold
stubbornly onto her opinions, even when she is wrong. At least there is not much
one can do about that.
Since I'm a little cheap I was wondering if anyone has a trick to save me ink
to copy the forecast. It comes out beautiful but all I need is the dates and
the transcripts but when I highlight it, the highlighting is refused and
copies the whole thing with the colours as it shows up on the page. It's
just for me so all I need is the text. Thanks..

Dear Ms. Green,
I'm writing to you today to ask for your help. I recently experienced a
rather serious lapse of judgement and common sense. I was visiting friends in
Berkeley, CA who are operators of a bookstore near U.C. there, the Lewin
Metaphysical Bookstore. While visiting at the home of the proprietress, I ran
across one of your books on her personal (and extensive) shelf of Astrology,
one that I did not yet own myself, namely, Relating. I committed the
unpardonable offense of borrowing that book intending to bring it back the
following week. But being a somewhat impulsive Aries, I failed to ask
permission. Of course this was seen as theft and I became persona non grata
with Yvonne, and will probably never be forgiven, even though I had promptly
returned the book. She complained that the book now showed the wear of
man-handling by the insensitive brute who took it without asking, etc. I
would love to make it up to her somehow, and get out of the perpetual
doghouse. So I'm moved to ask you if I could get a personally autographed
copy in new condition to present to her as recompense for this terrible
transgression. I would be willing to pay whatever you ask for such a huge
favor. I believe I have all of your books and several of your reports from
Astrodienst, and I am an enthusiatic fan of your work. I'm an annual

This is a current 'Daily' for me - and as I see it, it gives both positive
and negative commentary and advice. Having thought it through as I usually
try to do, and having connected it to what's happening right now in my work
life (since it mentions employers) I think I might not make a mistake or two
that I may have made, had I not thought about this transit. I also have
energising pictures of what Mars conjunct the MC 'looks like!'.
I am sorry, but I must disagree with you. I do not think that the daily
messages are 'foreboding', though I have noticed that the comment has some up
on more than one occasion on the feedback pages..
I am pleased with the advice I get and wouldn't want the tone or style of
writing to change.

My intended comment is already voiced by several people here, but I don't see
any response from Astrodienst as yet. I too, am very curious as to the Daily
forecast being so often foreboding and why that is. Is there no other
planetary influences for each day that are more positive and can be added to
the forecast to help balance it?
I actually changed the daily horoscpe page from being my home page because so
often it started my day by causing great anxiety and feelings of oncoming
doom. I have great respect for your forecasts and all that you publish on
your site, so I give alot of credit to what is forecast - even potential
negative aspects. Some days I just can't bear to look, and just Will to will
Thy will.
I would also like to add that all the comments regarding this subject are
very well written and I ditto them! Respectfully...Kelly Hause P.S. I must
also applaud the special days that ARE positive, because they have been
indeed special!

I was born 21. november - but I feel that either the scorpio or the
sagitarius sign is not me - how com? Can somebody tell me why? I read in the
horoscopes that the jupiter (luck sign) is in scorpio and that it includes
very good love potentials -but right now I have a longing sorry heart for
another scorpio who is caught in a unhappy love-hate relationship. Help me

I am curious about the effects of progressed planets to progressed planets.
These do not seem as strong but maybe that is my imagination.
Also, I hear some talk of regressing a chart. It seems to occur but
sometimes not as strongly and the ascendant and midheaven regressions don't
seem to really fit. Are these types of charts generally accepted or
considered of less value.

significance for you in about fourteen years". This is in the future.
It does not imply that the encounter can't be significant before, but it
predicts that a special moment for this relationship will be 14 years later.
I am learning to read Tarot cards and I did a 10 card spread to read and I
would like to get some help on interpreting the cards. I need some guidance
or can you help me to interpret and understand the meaning of the cards in

Alois adds: I am afraid I cannot help you here. It is not meaningful to use
text which was written by practitioners of a particular astrological system
with another system which plainly contradicts it, in many respects.
You will need to do your own interpretations, if you want to
apply techniques which we and/or our astrologers consider misleading or wrong.
Or you need to find a website which offers free readings with your zodiac. I am
sure there are plenty in India. Just have a look in Google.
Sehr interessant diese Deutungen. Mein Partner ist Skorpion, ich hab mir das
Partner-Kurzhoroskop von Miss Greene ausdrucken lassen bezüglich Steinbock
und Skorpion und manche Dinge treffen sicher zu.
Aber heisst das, dass diese Charakterzüge wirklich so zum Ausdruck kommen
müssen? Einige Sätze finde ich merkwürdig und für mich und meinen Partner als
nicht zutreffend. Da steht zum Beispiel für den Skorpion:
... darf flirten, Affären haben, alles tun, was er will oder braucht - aber
Sie dürfen das nicht, denn Sie gehören ihm...
Soll das bedeuten, man kann sich auf die sexuelle Treue eines Skorpiones
nicht unbedingt verlassen?
Ist es so dass aufgrund der Sonnenzeichen allein die Partnerschaft beurteilt
werden kann?
Das möchte ich ja bezweifeln.
Auch hab in einem Buch zum Beispiel gelesen, dass berufsorientierte
Steinbock-Skorpion Beziehungen häufig erfolgreicher und dauerhafter sind als
Partnerschaften. Solche info finde ich ja recht undifferenziert.
Mit meinen Geburtshoroskop kann ich mich jedenfalls besser identifizieren,
weil da Waage und Mond- Einflüsse auch zu tragen kommen. Ich werd mir die
genauen Daten von meinem Partner gabe lassen, damit ich ein präziseres
Partnerschaftshoroskop erstellen kann.

Alois adds: Thanks for the feedback. A graphical representation of the
transit (represented as time-bar graph) is found in what we call 'Transit
Calendar'.
Please see Free Horoscopes -> extended chart selection -> group Astrodienst
special -> Transit calendar for 3 years.
You can select the starting point appropriately.
Of course, in the end a look into the ephemeris (table of daily planetary
positions) is useful. (see Homepage left column -> ephemeris for 3000 years) You will want to memorize your natal Venus position,
and then look up how Neptune moves in regard to that place.
There are also features for ephemeris diagrams, with natal positions drawn in
among the chart types in 'extended chart selction, group special'.
In the end there are many ways to visualize a transit, according to
personal preferences.
About feeling the effect of a multiple transit: often
the first encounter is most prominently felt. But sometimes a period has
really to be waited though, patiently, like my own Saturn Venus opposition
going on since many months.
Hi, I'd just like to say first off that I LOVE this website! It gives me the
full ability to find myself out without having to deal with misleading,
money-grubbing and/or advertising-ridden sites such as Astrology.com!
I have like 2 questions for you guys:
a) From looking at my chart I know that I have a lot of Earth/Capricorn in my
chart which indicates I have loner tendancies. (Also lack of Air) Is there
ANYTHING in my chart which indicates that I can be The life of the party or a
socialite per say?
b) I have always been utterly curious, what does it mean when my Pholus is
placed in Gemini?

A rather more profound analysis fo your personality will be presented in
the Psychological Horoscope, by Liz Greene, if you are inclined to order it
from us. The loner/socialite issue is certainly considered in that analysis,
and if it appears as relevant in your chart, it will be discussed there.
(It will however not be mentioned in the reading if it is not considered an important
issue in the analysis process).

If your birth data is correct you are NOT born under a Blue Moon. Your Sun
is 6 Scorpio52' with near-exact conjunctions to Neptune and Mars. ( Neptune
actually is cazimi being only 10 seconds from the heart of the Sun) But
your Moon is 24 Libra 39. It is approaching New Moon but that didn’t happen
until 22 hours after you were born at 7 Scorpio 45. Blue Moon is when the
New Moon takes place so early in a sign (1 or 2 degrees) that the following
New Moon takes place in the same sign. For example it would be a Blue Moon
if you were born under a New Moon at 1 Scorpio because the next New Moon
would be approximately 29 Scorpio. I’ve not seen any distinction in the
literature for Blue Moon over and above the standard New Moon delineations.

deeper appreciation for planetary transits and how their influences can be

I've noticed lately that my Venus transits are listed as being valid over
several months but it is my understanding that this relatively fast-moving
planet never exerts influences that are in effect for that long a period of
time. Could you clarify?

MOSCOW TIME ZONE: I have just received an informational letter from a
friend who is visiting Moscow, and he tells me that Moscow's time is exactly
9 hours ahead of Central Time Zone in the USA. I remember that you were
looking for the Russian Time Zones. From Moscow's time, we should be able
to figure the others there ?
It is now 8:30 p.m. in Illinois on Thursday and 5:30 a.m. in Moscow. on
Friday morning.

To J. Thornton of Boulder, CO, USA - Regarding your question about Robert
Hand's writings on Astrodienst, I believe they are all taken from his older
work originally published decades ago, the books Planets in Transit and
Planets in Youth, and back then he did regular western astrology. I forget
if he was using Koch or Placidus houses at that time, but I don't think it
matters for your purposes, just take his interpretation of, for example,
transiting Mars in the fifth house, and use whatever house system you please.

A question/request concerning your free chart service: do you have any plans
to add a whole house option to the Astrodienst round options? I know I can
get a whole house chart through the Pullen/Astrolog choices, but the
astrodienst chart is just a much better layout (in my opinion), especially
when it comes to transit charts.
In addition , I would like to just say thank you - a huge thank you! - for
keeping astrodienst up and running, as well as constantly updated. It's a
wonderful resource!

Seit geraumer Zeit wurde nun aber schon der Text der Vorschau nicht geändert.
Ich gehe gern und oft auf eure Seite, es wird allerdings immer langweiliger
wenn diese Teaser wegfallen. Auch die Donnerstags-Tageshoroskope werden
dürftiger. Ging ich früher jeden Tag um zu checken, was auf meinen Seiten

I just subscribed and read through the various free profiles. I see that Rob
Hand writes some of the profiles and others write the rest. The probelm is
that I know Rob deals with the oldest house system, which puts planets in a
different sign than the regular Placidus-based astrologers. So does Rob write
from this perspective on these profiles, and the others from the Placidus
style? How does this reconcile to the reader/subscriber?

My compliments regarding the service you provide seekers after
psychological-astrological self-knowledge. I’m sure she would credit such
prior greats as Dane Rudhyar, Marc Edmond Jones, Grant Lewi and others but
Liz Greene’s synthesis of astrology and Jungian psychology and her ability to
put the pieces together into a meaningful story when interpreting a chart is
a quantum leap above that past generation of astrological writers and the
cookbook methods available until recently. And the expert system Mr. Treindl
has built makes her approach to the chart accessible to anyone. I’ve studied
all her books and now am studying Howard Sasportas and Melanie Rheinhart
material, which brings me to my question. Do you have plans to include
Chiron’s influence in the psychological horoscope interpretation in the
future? Again my compliments to all your staff. If I lived in England or
Zurich you would see me in the front row of all of the available lectures and
workshops.

I am currently studying astrology and I thought that I would inform you that
you have the wrong information for my transits. Uraunus doesn't square Venus
not for 3 years. It is venus that squares Uraunus and this only lasts a few
weeks not years. Just thought I would point out your error as alot of people
take your forecast very seriously.

Assuming you entered your birth data correctly, your natal Venus
is at 12°10' Gemini.
Uranus is today at 9° Pisces, and will reach 12° Pisces (squaring your Venus)
at the end of March 2006. It gets into 1° orb of your natal Venus on 9 March,
which is listed as the begin of the transit in your free 'Short report
forecast'.
I was reading Spirit and Destiny Magazine and it said that I could get a free
chart drawn up of my child on your site to find out if he is an indigo child
is this right as i could not find where to do this. :-) X

Zu Ihrer Frage: erstens gehen die
Einzelhoroskope immer vor, und beide bringen ja auch sich als Einzelpersonen
in eine Beziehung mit.
Zweitens ist es wie beim einzelnen Horoskop: unbesetzte Zeichen und Häuser
deuten keinesfalls einen Mangel an, eher ein freies Feld, in dem man sich
ungehindert entfalten kann.
I would like to commend and congradulate Mss. Karin Hoffmann on her excellent
review of my book, The Origin of Culture! All I can say is, Thanks be to God
that there are fellow educated beings out there in our world!
One of my points was that it takes an entire universe to create our
miraculous, diverse, and holy planet. The other point is that while we live
in a determined web of fate -we also are endowed with Fredom of the Will -and
this is the drama of life.
I am in the process of completing a second book on earthquake prediction (in
hindsight). I am a student of hiatromathematics (medical astrology) and I
intend to include some of my successful diagonosis in the new work.
I would like to ask Mss. Hoffmann if she thinks a German translation of my
book would be appropriate, or do most people read English. I regret that I
was taken from Germany before I was old enough to attend school. But
thankfully I can read and speak my native tongue therefore many of the great
German researchers and writers were available to me.

I was born 3.30am, Wakefield, Yorkshire, UK - Saturday April 3 1965. I have
Saturn in Pisces opposing Mars, Uranus Pluto in Virgo. The Sun, Moon,
Mercury Venus in Aries is next door to Pisces and Jupiter is in Taurus. Do
I have a Finger of God chart and, if so, what do the qualities/elements
involved indicate?

Hello,
I love your site and recommend it often. Please forgive me if this is a
naive question, but do youhave/can you recommend an area that discusses the
general mood of the month--not for one person specifically, but just what is
generally going on that month? I ask b/c I know some less fabulous sites do
this, and would trust the information more if it came from this site. This
month, particularly, I seem to be hearing a lot of the same sentiments from
many friends of mine with different sun signs, and would love to be able to
apply an astrological perspective to this. Any thoughts?

This site is interesting, but i feel that a lot of the forecast tends to be
really negative instead of focusing on the positive. The word beware seems to
be overused throughout the text. The positive messages are then directly
followed by negative ones which ultimately becomes confusing. Also making the
message quite vague...
Do you have any comments on this?

To be a serious astro site, you can't put on charts with ridiculously high
orbs on the aspects. I am an experienced astrologer myself, and experience,
not theory, proves high orbs just to distort and inflate charts!

Hi - Congratulations on a great site.
My question is this: I note that you often remove Forecast items and replace
them with others before the period they relate to has occurred.
Is this because they are no longer relevant, or because you regularly update
with new forecasts? It's a little confusing.
If the latter, could I suggest that you leave the old forecasts up and simply
add the new ones? Alternatively, you could archive the ones you replace and
allow us access to them that way.
It would be great to read your response to this question.

Sorry if I'm not supposed to enter such addresses, but I find the forum great
and informative, so I thought it would be great to have the same for
astrology. A place where astrologers and others can come together and share
their views and knowledge.
Anyway, this is the best astrology site on the web and I have been using it
for more then 10 years now I think.

Hi there,
I have visited your website for the first time today and I have to say, I
really did like it. But then, I entered my details for a free prediction and
was pretty disappointed as it is only doom and gloom. Then I thought, maybe
it is only a bad year for Scorpio's, but it was the same old rubbish for my
partner. I don't know who writes your predictions, but whoever it is must be
pretty depressed as he/she has got a great talent to make even the most
positive events sound like a terrible disaster. I wouldn't recommend your
website as it makes the gloomy February months even worse and it can be very
dangerous for people who are already depressed as it might drive them to
suicide.
I'm sorry to be so negative, but I am a writer and I read many predictions
from various astrologers and none of them had such an negative impact on me
like yours.
I hope, the person who writes the predictions will think of a better, more
uplifting way of expression in the future as the website is very good and
informative .

Gee whizz - with the revelations that Pluto is no longer a planet I feel a
whole lot better about myself. No longer do I have to worry about my
Pluto/North Node conjunction (direct) which has been a barrel of laughs for
years now...
