This is a question rather than feedback.
If one purchases the pdf quality chart printing, does one have to get the
prints of the type of chart shown in the example rather than the type of
chart that can normally be printed but in better quality print? If I'm not
mistaken the print quality of the charts has been somewhat degraded recently,
but I prefer the original charts because they look fine and they use less
color ink than your new pdf prints. Please inform me directly.

Alois adds: All chart types in the free chart and extended chart selection
area are available for PDF subscribers.
The exception are the charts which ome as 'AstroClick' services.
Nothing was changed in the resolution or quality of the free charts. But
your browser and printer might not cooperate well.
To get best print quality, please save the GIF images on your local computer
first (right click, save image as...) and then re-open these GIF files with some
image processing software. This will allow you to select the best printer
resolution, with better results than printing from a browser directly.
I love your site. I have a question though. I few months ago I used the atlas
query to see what life would be life for me in other areas. Now, I can't seem
to utilize the atlas that way again. What am I doing wrong? Kathy Fahey

Thank you very much for the excellent quality of the information on this
site.
With regard to the Astro Click Travel feature, how precisely do the various
lines correlate to the longitude and latitude of locations through which they
run? Should I allow for a small margin of error in marking these
locations?
I'm curious because I've repeatedly experienced what I believe may be a
manifestation of one of my important lines in a location approximately 200 km
from the line on the map.
Thank you for anything you can tell me.

that lots of
personal-chart-related question remain unanswered, particularily those which
are answered in the FAQ (the section with frequently asked questions and

If you miss a
particular transit in 'short report forecast', it is most likely that you also
have missed reading its introduction, which states:

I've just had my astro chart done couple of days ago by a very reliable
person. According to her I was born just in the beginning of the sign of Leo,
since in 1953 the sun was already in Leo on the 21st of July, and also the
moon is in Virgo.
But according to your chart it says that I am Cancer with the moon in
Scorpio. My birth date is 21 July 1953, born at 23:45 in Nishinomiya,
Japan........Could you please tell me which is the right situation?
Thank you very much

In Japan, it was already past noon of the 23rd.
This is a fact of nature, and verifiable with any ephemeris.
I need to find the actual time for my ascendant.
I am a Scorpio with a Leo ascendant born 14th November 1950 in Christchurch,
New Zealand.
I definitely know that my ascendant is Leo but I do not know the time and so
cannot enter my correct profile as it requires that I input the time and
does not have an option for simply entering your ascendant by name.
Could you please help.

Hello,
I have enjoyed your website for many years, and have in the past ordered
several of your products for family and friends.
In my earlier charts and horoscopes from your company, my ascendant was
listed as Taurus, as it has in several other charts I have had. Suddenly,
today, I found the ascendent listed as Aries both in the Forecast section and
the Charts section. Some calculation has changed.
The remainder of the planets have remained in their positions, just the
ascendant has changed. Can you tell me why this is?
I'll continue to refer my friends to your website, regardless!
Thanks for all your work.

Once with 'automatic timezone' which results in the correct chart, with

Out of curiosity... when I am entering new data for a chart, why do you list
little buttons for male, female or event? I have done a lot of people's
charts, and never saw a reason to differentiate. To me, a chart is a chart,

I appreciate your answer regarding my concern with the calculation of my

the rest of British Columbia as we use Mountain time (7 hours west of
Greenwich). I have done some research on the internet to be sure of the
daylight saving time in our area and this is what I found: [MDT is used
during summer in these Canadian provinces (MST during winter)
Alberta
British Columbia - a few eastern communities
Cranbrook, Golden, Invermere
Northwest Territories
Saskatchewan - only Lloydminster
Time zone offset: UTC - 6 hours
MDT is 6 hours behind of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)
Note that MDT is a daylight saving time/summer time zone]
With that information I think that the time zone should then be 6 hours west
of Greenwich at the time of my son's birth? Please let me know if I am not
understanding all of this correctly.

Ansonsten, echt super. Diesen Service finde ich klasse!
Gruß, Rainer.
Rainer
Deutschland --- Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 00:08 Universal Time
Alois adds: Wie man so schön sagt: that is not a bug, that is a feature.
I have exactly the same query as this lady in Canada (see below). Born in
Bahrain on 6.4.49, all other charts give me a Cancer ascendant but your site
reckons it's Gemini. I agree, the problem seems to be your failure to
consider daylight saving time. Perhaps you should look into this.
Hello,
Sally B a r r e t t
Great Britain --- Monday, January 23, 2006 at 09:38 Universal Time
Alois adds: Between 1920 and 31 May 1972 Bahrain was on 4 hours east
of Greenwich, since 1 June 1972 it is on 3 hours east of Greenwich.
When you are born at 10.30 am, the GMT/UT is 6.30 for your date.
The ascendant is 23 Gemini.
The degree of the ecliptic rising in the east at a given date and time is a
fact of nature, it can only be computed right or wrong. Our calculation is
right, and our timezone database is correct as well.
What you should NOT do (as you have done): switch the timezone setting from
automatic to manual, and select something different than our system does. This
is a sure way to see a false chart. Don't blame us for that, please. Leave
the timezone setting on automatic, and trust us that we know what we are
doing.
For some countries, and some years, there are areas of doubt in our database, e.g.
for parts of the former Soviet Union, for Chile and for Argentina. We would be
the last people to deny that. But for all other countries, there is very
little room for error or doubt.
I want to give the gift of an astrology report, but my friend is unsure of
the time of birth (off perhaps by up to 30 mins). Any advice? How much
would this affect the accuracy of the report? Thank you.

Hong Kong --- Monday, January 23, 2006 at 04:00 Universal Time
Alois adds: I recommend to use the time in the middle of the uncertainty
period. If the error is in the range of 15 minutes only, most likely the chart
will be correct.
Of course your friend should enquire at the birth registry office of the town
where he/she was born. They will have the birth time (unless it is England).
Question re: solar return charts.
My friend made me a solar return chart for this year which came out
completely different than what comes up on here...he was wondering if you use
precession when figuring out your returns. He tells me that my solar return
in Los Angeles happens much later than what comes up here...thank you.V
Vera B e r e n
USA --- Monday, January 23, 2006 at 03:51 Universal Time
Alois adds: We consider the technique of 'precession correction' as
fundamentally faulty. It introduces a 'sidereal' element into tropical
astrology, which does not belong there.
Please see the FAQ: Do you offer
precession correction in transits or solar return charts?
I currently have Pluto transiting my third house (Sag) just within orb of
conjunction of my Sun at 22 degr. Sag. I have recently read Alive and Well
with Pluto -a wonderful reference for anyone having major Pluto transits (by
Bil Tierney) and what he mentions about Pluto transiting the third house has
been amazingly accurate for me- but VERY troublesome as well, in that
wherever I have lived in the past 7 years, I have had to put up with either
major construction within my dwelling, or in the neighborhood close by! Plus
multiple problems with co-tenents and landlords and break-ins. AMAZING.
Without my faith in astrology I think I would not have made it this far.
Would love to hear from anyone having similar experiences. I have Chiron at 4
degrees in my 4th house too!

However I am a little bit puzzled about the chart for my son born October
1st, 2002 in Golden BC at 12:16pm. I had his chart calculated before on one
other site which made him Libra ascendant Scorpio and when I calculated it
on your site he came out libra ascendant Sagittarius. When we enter the time
of birth it says to always use automatic time change but it doesn't seem to
take in consideration the daylight saving time for that period. All the other
charts I calculated match the ones that I had already done before but they
were all on standart time. I was wondering if you could clarify this for me.
Thank you so much.

Hallo,

I would like to know wether it's possible to get the Short Report - Forecast
but for a past period.
This might sound silly but I would like to compare previous forecasts with
actual events.
Thank you very much for a great site.

hi how would you rate the placement of pluto in the 12th house in libra and
mars in the 8th in gemini for scorpio rising in terms losses and loss to
enimies, since both pluto and mars are the rulers of scorpio?

Hallo astro-Team,

Merci !

I dont think you allowed for double summer time when u calculated my chart.
I have had my chart done many times by professional astrologers and my
ascendent is always Libra (I have also worked it out myself whilst studing
astrology many years ago) However your calculations make me Virgo rising.
If people didnt know about astrology these incorrect calculations could
totally confuse them - not to mention your karma!

Alois adds: The timezone for your chart (4 Aug 1947) was determined as 2 hours
east of Greenwich, which is double summertime for the UK. It was in force
until 10 Aug 1947.
Assuming that the birth time you entered is correct, the chart was
of course calculated correctly. There is no room for opinion left on this
matter - the degree of the zodiac rising in the east at a given moment and
place is a fact of nature.
The only remaining issue could be Hindu astrology, which uses a different
zodiac than western astrology.
I'm so bummed! As of today, 1/5, I have to re-enter all data when I go back
to choose a different type of chart or a differnt name. Please change it
back. Frankly, it makes it difficult to get anything done I'm spending too
much time re-entering info. I LOVE Astodienst. I've been a daily user for
years. Please tell me it's just a temporary glitch!
Thanks and Happy New Year! Eileen McNamara

Alois adds: Nothing was changed on the server. In general, you are well
advised to create a 'registered user profiel' on page 'my astro', and to login
to this page on each visit, in case you don't find yourself logged in

the same stored profile data.
I would love to see a product that maps ideal and non-ideal geographic
locations with specific charts and composite charts for couples. The astro
click travel is good, but I'd love to see something that addresses long-term
residence. Thanks!

Thanks so much for this wonderful astrology site. You are all very generous
to provide so much high quality free information from Liz Greene, Robert Hand
and Robert Pelltier to visitors to the site. Although I have been a student
of astrology since 1972, Robert Pelltier's description of Venus in the 9th
House, a position I have natally, is the best interpretation that I have ever
read and is highly accurate! I have puzzled over the meaning of t

The wrongly named Orcus, Prometeo
Orcus is one of the recently discovered planets in Kuiper’s Belt, it has 1600
KM across. For further information see http//: www.astrotaller.webhop.net/ ,
includes an historical study of the planet.
This planet ends wars by the exercise of diplomacy. In its conjunction with
Quiron in 23º Virgo in 1543-1545 it was signed the Council of Trent. United
States Constitution 1987-89 was signed under Orcus in Virgo.
This planet carries to an end important warfares as can be seen in the
Fanco_Spanish war between 1658-59 with Orcus at 27º Pisces together with the
exaltation of Venus.
The Napoleonic Wars 1813-15 end up with Orcus at 21º Libra and exaltation of
Saturn.
Placed in 5º Scorpio and exaltation of Uranus the battle of Navarino gives
rise to the Greek Independence.
Its transit in 3º Taurus with Moon exaltation ends World War I.
It has also started wars as the Thirty Years War with 28º Capricorn and
exaltation of Mars. Between 1701-03 with the transit through 30º Gemini it
started the Spanish Succession War that ended the Hamburg dynasty. During the
period of 1903-05 at 27º Pisces it caused the Russian Revolution and the
assault to the Winter Palais.
The fact that it ends wars and periods of relevance is important because it
establishes the basis for peace.
When Fermi realized the first controlled fusion 2/11/1942 Orcus-Prometeo
was in ascendent gradient of UUEE 14º21’ Gemini, and the first nuclear bomb
of 6/8/1945 at Hiroshima coincides with Orcus at 19º55’ so that the divine
fire, the nuclear energy is closely related to UUEE and the exaltation of
Pluto-Vulcanus in 20º Gemini.
Orcus is a planet with the tendencies of Saturn, of the Titans, children of
Uranus and Ghea, as can be seen in The Crack of 1929 when Orcus passes
through 24º Taurus, also with the pass of Saturn in Pearl Harbour or in the
progression of the Twin Towers. Furthermore is a masculine Titan because of
its eccentricity and inclinations and it will be named consequently, the
names that I propose are Oceano, Ceo, Hiperion, Crio or Japeto, all brothers
of Saturn.
We elect the name of Japeto so it is the creator of mankind, father of
Prometheus, the one that make man out of clay as in the Bible.

Hi There!
I actually have a question but couldn't seem to find a contact email. Anyway,
I read the daily personal horoscopes every day and I have noticed over the
monthes that the horoscopes for 'tomorrow' always seem to sum up 'today'. For
instance, I read the horoscopes at night a lot and the predictor for the next
day pretty much describes my day. I was born in Australia where they are a
day ahead and was wondering if this could possibly have something to do with
it. Anyway, if someone might be able to get back to me
(lamington321@hotmail.com), that'd be lovely.
Thanks in advance!

liebes astro -team,
dessen einleitung so anfängt:während einiger wochen gültig.
Ja was nun?Einen tag oder einige wochen?
Wäre dankbar für eine weniger verwirrende erklärung.
