I LOVE this website....as a person learning astrology it has been very
helpful....I have a question about the lunar opposition chart. I understand
completely about how to delineate and interpret a lunar RETURN chart and a
solar RETURN chart, but what does a lunar opposition chart tell me about any
particular month? What is it's purpose versus the lunar return? What will it
tell me different? Thank You for your help!

Ce message s'adresse à l'équie de Astrodienst.
J'habite Paris (France) et je consulte très régulièrement votre site que je
trouve très intéressant. Cependant j'ai depuis quelques temps un malaise par
rapport à une prévision que j'avais lu (il y a un an à peu près) et qui
concernanit un transit à moyen/log teme et qui s'intitulait dermière chance.
Comment pouvez vous écrire de telles chose et dire à un epersonne que passé
ce transit, plus rien ne vaudra la peine d'être vécu et que cette personne ne
trouvera plus jamais goût à rien!!!! Depuis que j'ai lu cette prévision, je
suis hanté par le fait ue ma denière chance est passé et que tout ce que
j'entreprends maintenant ne serviras plus à rien... Il n'y a pas un jour où
je commence une journée sans penser à cette phrase et je me sens depuis très
déprimée? je cherche actuellement du travail et je pense sans arrêt à cette
phrase... Mon inconscient me dis tout le temps : le temps de ta dernière
chance est passé, alors comment avoir de l'espoir et trouver de l'énergie
pour se battre si on pense d'avance que tout est fichu? J'ai besoin de votre
explication, je me sens perdue et je n'arrive pas à me retirer ce message de
la tête.

A little curious. This is my first experience with your web site. In the
several charts that have been done for me previously by others, I always come
up Leo sun, Leo moon, Cancer rising. However, on your site, for some reason I
have an Aries moon. Why is that? My birthdate is 7/29/56 5:04 am, Los
Angeles, CA. Are you correct or are they? Do you use another method? Thanks

Thank you so much astrodienst for all your services and for keeping this site
current, I have found it invaluable in my continuing interest in astrology. I
would like if possible to send a msg to Annette Lindah of Denmark through
your feedback page. Annette you had mentioned you have been through a very
tough time of late, and that you have lost someone very dear to you. First I
offer you a cyper hug. My understanding regarding astrology is that yes there
are events in ones life that are probably going to happen, both good and bad
depending on when we have chosen to be born. But I don't think that astrology
can predict our lives, this is because it is a map of our life and as with
maps we can chose the road we go down. And with this in mind, it is possible
that for whatever reason your mate may have chosen to exit this lifetime when
he did. I believe we are always learning throughout our chosen lifetime (that
is perhaps why we are here?)and the people we connect with along our life's
journey are there because we have something to learn from them or to offer
them and visa versa. So what I am trying to say is even though you have
suffered much, if you can try and learn from the experience and then try and
move on. The love you have lost in the physical sense will always be with you
in the spiritual sense, and you still have your life journey to live. Carry
him with you always in your heart, know that he is at peace and in a far
better place, and embrace your life and live it to the fullest. Serenity,
Peace within ourselves, Peace towards others and Protection of Mother Earth
(hope you didn't find this offensive in any manner, if so then please accept
my apologiz's)

Alois adds: You got that wrong. Since about 150 years some esoteric circles
talk about the begin of the 'Aquarian age' but currently the vernal equinox
point is still in the constellation of Pisces, where it was since about 2000
years and is going to remain for another couple of hundreds of years.
The so called Aquarian age is about to begin between 2100 and 2500 AD,
depending on how one imagines the zodiacal constellations (which are NOT the
same as the signs of the zodiac).

not use it otherwise.
Maybe you should also ask your question to someone who prefers another
house system... What will he/she tell you?

I'm wondering why you don't offer Solar Return reports? Also, it would be
very helpful if you considered offering void of course moon in your daily
horoscopes. What are your thoughts on these?

Please explain to me why the Timing of aspects is different in the American
Ephemeris and the ephemeris you are using? Which ephemeris are you using,
and why are there differences?

Alois adds: Please ask the authors of the (much older) American Ephemeris, why
they differ from our precise calculation, which is of course based on Swiss
Ephemeris, whichin turn is based on the latest numerical models of the Solar
System.
However, please be aware that the precise timing of outer planet
transits is not very meaningful. They are always effective for long periods
anyway.
For a more specific answer, please give actual data. Please use the link
'report a problem' at the bottom of the page where you see our data.

I have noticed many past references to christianity in some of your transit
analysees and am glad to see a reference to Celtic Paganism as i ascribe to
neopaganism/wicca as much as i am intrinsically a pantheist.

I don't understand why you only announce an aspect when it is exact. In 30
yrs of expierence it has been the 2 degrees before that were causing the
effect. Especially with that nasty trouble maker MARS. I rarely have problems
when he makes an exact square to my natal venus or mercury in the 5th. The
arguments start at 2 degrees before. At least offer this to your paying guest.

Astrodienst, I thank you for the great resource that you provide. I rely
steadily on your input. I was disappointed however in one occurence just now
in which I found out that I have an extended aspect with Jupiter providing me
since Dec 2004 with boundless enthusiasm and confidence to expand myself
professionally etc. That will end Aug 24, 2005, ie in a few days. All the
extended aspects that I have known about for months have all been very
difficult to negative Neptune aspects. It has been rather discouraging and
depressing to continue to see only those aspects and then to find out all
along there has been this very positive aspect at work about which I was not
informed until now when it's about to end frustrates me a bit. Again,
though, thanks for all you do and provide. It is a great service!

On the Astro Mart site it is Gemini. I have always felt more like I have
Gemini rising and all my life I have found my ascendant to be Gemini when
using the Sidereal charts manually.( it would be Sagit., but Gemini because
of Southern Heimisphere place of birth

Pisces 16:25, but my other sources put the Moon is at 26 Aquarius at 20:00,

First of all I would like congratulate you on running an excellent
website . My only complaint if you can call it that is , if I buy a report
from your website it is not available via email and we have to wait till a
copy is mailed out thru regular mail. If this can be rectified and the user
is given instant access to the reports it should add value to your site.

Devo veramente congratularmi con tutto il Team di Astrodiest per la
traduzione in Italiano delle relazioni di coppia di Liz Greene che io avevo
gia seguito in Inglese però più di una volta traducevo così ad orecchio ora
ho avuto il piacere di leggere le sue approfondite disquisizioni sui rapporti
tra uomini e donne.
E' ovvio che i migliori ringraziamenti vanno alla Sig.ra Liz che veramente
tiene principalmente conto del rapporto a livello pratico mettendo in luce la
verità e la cosa che salta subito all'attenzione che non partecipa ne per
l'uno e ne per l'altra è obbiettiva e scrive le cose cosi come sono.
La cosa è molto interessante perchè il lettore si fa un quadro preciso della
situazione che deve vivere e nel contempo si possono dare consigli atti ad
aiutare chi non sa che pesci prendere.

travel?
Additional boundries showing countries, states, more cities and large towns
would be very helpful and more accurate for travelers, esp. since the map is
small.

Dear Astrodienst,
I love your site...but I am confused about which transits are more
significant--the one's on the daily horoscope that show long-term influence
(say, August 05-February 06) or the ones on the Forecast (some of the same
length). Can you clarify this for me? I cannot discern which carries the most
weight.

Alois adds: It is not really possible to answer this. One of our aims in the
daily horoscope is to provide variety as well as depth. Like in a daily
newpaper, depth is often sacrificed in favour of variety, there.
If you REALLY want to know your IMPORTANT transits, you need to order
one of our quality reports, e.g. 'Transits of the Year' or 'Yearly Horoscope
Analysis'. In the preparation of these, our software and computer modelling
really makes an effort to choose the most relvant themes. In the free service,
the effor is quite limited in this respect.

sunsign in an website and thanks a million for that. It is really amazing. I
have 2 questions for you.
1. Out of the blue a friend of mine has closed all contacts and I am badly

Hello, astro staff! I hope you are doing well. I have a pressing question,
hopefully you can help me.
I was browsing through the Forecast feature in your free horoscopes, and
discovered the times of Saturn returns for two of my friends. (It is known as
Saturn conjunct Saturn, with the heading Pruning Your Life in your feature).
I noticed that one friend (who has Saturn 29 degrees Cancer) had a Saturn
return that only lasted a couple weeks, according to the predictions on your
Forecast feature. However, another friend (who has Saturn 10 degrees Leo)
will be undergoing her Saturn return from October 2005 until July of next
year!
Why is one Saturn return lasting much longer than the other? If anyone
can help me, I would be most appreciative! Thank you very much!

Alois adds: Please check the natal position of Saturn for each friend, and
then check the ephemeris about when Saturn crosses that point 29 (or 58) years
later. For a few months every year, Saturn runs retrograde. then it passes
the same point three times, which gives a LONG Saturn return. Other zodiac
locations are passed by it only once, which gives a SHORT Saturn return.
In any case, the consequences of Saturn return are usually so profound that
they can be felt long before and long after the time which is indicated on
our reports. People also differ individually in the way and speed in which
they handle these 'finally growing up processes'.

He is my favorite professional athlete, a true genius in the sport of
tennis.
It will be interesting to see how elements in the report are reflected
in his career, etc. in the next few years.

Ich habe gelesen, dass eine Gewichtsabnahme am besten gelingen kann, wenn
Saturn den ersten Haus durchquert - es klingt logisch, weil Saturn mit der
Reduktion auf das Wesentiche zusammenhängt, Kristalisationsprozess usw. auch
mit der Vebesserung des jeweiligen Bereichs, das Saturn durchquert - wenn
jemand hart daran arbeitet. Da das erste Haus unter anderem auch das
Erscheinungsbild der jeweiligen Person gestatet, sollte der dort anwesende
Saturn für allgemeine Gesundheitsverbesserung und Gewichtsabnahme behilflich
sein. Wenn Jupiter im ersten Haus sitzt kann man eher mit einer
Gewichtszunahme rechnen - Jupiter erweitert alles. Ich habe auch beobachtet,
dass Personen mit Schütze am AC oder Jupiter im ersten Haus ziemlich dick
sein können.

In meiner aktuellen Vorschau wird von Jan. bis Sept. 06 ein Transit (Jupiter
Konj. Mond) besprochen, bei der am Ende vor einer möglichen Gewichtszunahme
gewarnt wird. Gibt es eigentlich auch Transite, die eine Gewichtsabnahme
unterstützen? Wovon ist das abhängig? Danke für Ihre Antwort !

Alois adds: Interessante Frage. Tendenziell Saturn-Transite, aber wenn man die
Neigung hat, sich Kummerspeck anzufressen und Probleme via Kühlschrank zu
lösen, werden die nicht viel nützen, eher im Gegenteil.
Seit Jahren lese ich mein Tageshoroskop und auch die langfristigen Themen
interessieren mich sehr.
Seit ca. Mai 2005 - ca. Dezember 2006 macht Uranus ein Trigon auf meinen
Neptun und mir scheint dies ein sehr wichtiger Transit, den ich auch sehr
spüre. Weshalb erscheint dieser nicht unter den langfristigen Themen meines
Horoskopes?

I heard recently a new planet has been discovered beyond Pluto. The
Americans have observed this planet for two years before announcing the
findings. How is it possible for a planet to go unobserved when the skies
are constantly monitored.
How long will it be before we can incorporate the planet into the chart?

Alois adds: New objects are discovered in the outer reaches of the Solar
system all the time. They are hard to see because they are 'black dirty
snowballs'. Advances in detection technology were needed to see them.
Several such objects comparable in size to Pluto have been discovered in
recent years. Which one of these - if any - will make its way into astrology
only long term experience will tell us. At the moment, astrologers are
observing and studying.
The one you mention has spent most of the 20th century in the sign of Aries,
as it moves very slow. What importance it has for us can only the future tell.

you feel them prematurely, simply look a few days ahead. The subscription to
the 'extended daily horoscope' will allow you such navigation in time.

I feel that the daily scope is somehow inaccurate, like my moods and energies
match, but on different days than described.
Even though they feel inaccurate, I must say that the emotional patterns
described are VERY accurate to how I live my life, how I feel and how I think
of my life on a day to day basis. I congratulate you on such an achievment. I
don't understand it, but I certainly feel it is true.
I know I have a very unique personality, and I know that I live my life very
honest to my energies and how I feel, so when I say VERY accurate, I really
mean astonishing. I don't know how you do it, but you sure caught me on
surprise.

Hi,
i was born in Jakarta and i am just confused about the time-zone for Jakarta.
Some websites (and www.astro.com) use time-zone 8 (GMT+8) for Jakarta but
some other websites use GMT+7 and i think the time difference is 7 hours.
Please explain and if the time-zone should 7 could you repair your website
?

Alois adds: our timezone history for Indonesia is correct and contains all
changes which have occurred there throughout history. It was NOT always the
same timezone, and you cannot make conclusions from the current rules into the
past.
If you have documentation that we are wrong for a particular date and
location, please let us know. Please do not consider 'other astrology sites'
as reliable documentation, though. Usually they are less reliable than we are.
It migth seam as a useless remark, but as I was looking for my astrotwins I
found posted that astronaut LEROY GORDON COOPER died on mission Apollo I
along with two other crew members, but I am afraid that the crew of the first
apollo mission was:
Virgil Gus Ivan Grissom, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF
Edward Higgins White, II, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF
Roger Bruce Chaffee, Lieutenant Commander, USN
and that Mr. Gordon Cooper passed away on October 4, 2004, at his home in
Ventura, California, at the age of 77. I hope that such fact is of some use
for you guys
