Dear Astrodienst,
You folks provide an amazing service to public gratis, for which you should
be warmly thanked! Especially, in the areas of your ephemeri and extended
chart selections, I was astounded when I first ran across these not-so-tiny
gems. You have literally gifted the public with the ability to enter the
realm of true astrology. I for one have been extremely grateful every time I
turn toward your website to use these wonderful tools.
I hope you won't mind, I do have a question about these tools. How can I
automatically compare transits to progressions? They both show up in the
accompanying data sheet, but there is no cross-matrix table showing these
transit-to-progression apects. It's so tedious to calculate these by hand.
Have you any suggestions for how I can get there from here?

Do the personal daily horoscopes depend on the city of residence *or* are
they applicable no matter where the subject lives (on earth, of course)?

Hi Astro
Thanks for your site, which has been much appreciated. I am writing because i
have for some time been wondering about the wording of the daily forecasts,
which seem to be increasingly negative, moralizing and with much forboding.
It seems that nomatter how well one starts off, say with a really nice
positive aspect, a dire warning of fire and brimstone and all kinds of
impending doom is soon to follow, and - taking us through much tedious
moralizing using incredibly negative words , the horoscope is sure to end on
a down note.
Any enegetic aspects is sure to focus on the dont's rather than the do's:
Don't do this or.... - With approx. 95 % attention given to the negative, 5 %
to the positive.
This was evident in the challenging aspects when I first started reading
Astro daily horoscopes, and i thought the writer was just laying it on a bit
thick to get his/her point across, but as I noticed this negative
preoccupation spilling over into the positive aspects I thought: What's
going on here?
It is getting to the point where I regret having read my daily horoscope.
I'm truly concerned for the person writing these horoscopes.

hi astro, i've had a confusing read in your site , my personal free horoscope
is quite accurate, abd i enjoyed it a lot, seeing myself in the mirror of my
stars and opening my eyes to further realms of my personality ,
but , as i checked my own and my life-lover's relationship horoscope, i was
very surprised to see that it's quite the opposite of what our relationship

I'm trying to do some relocation charts. On the Extended Chart Selection
section it says there must be a reference point. Well, where do I put that
in? I tried doing it with my birthtime in a new town, but that would just be
a natal chart, correct? How do I do this type of chart?

Simply put, I used to look at astrology in a sometime, haphazard sort of
way...I gave it some thought but never too much because I always felt the
descriptions weren't deep enough or personal enough...Needless to say, the
readings I've seen here are the best interpretations I have ever encountered,
and so very accurate and detailed...I was very suprised when I ran my
children through the system and saw how accurate it was, I almost had to
smile about it...their readings said things I could hardly put into words
because they're so young still...And all these experiences were just from the
FREE READINGS! Point clear, this site is excellent and there's no telling
what you'll walk away with...love to all..

I just received my 6 year forecast, and have to say I was dissappointed. It
seemed the language was homoginized and indirect, the language was also
charged with spooky words like... separation, changes, new beginnings...
there were lots of ambiguous statements about relationships, more
separations, triangles - I felt that the enlightenment language was out of
date and has-been. Pluto was depicted as its usual deep, dark planet while
Uranus was depicted as its usual revolutionary changes -- For some reason I
expected more from your authors. For instance - Nearly my entire generation
has vast pools of mental illness which run through it like water, and this is
due in part to the godawful parenting we all had, and the unwillingness to
make the jump into complete conciousness, which means making the jump into
the nonphysical. For some reason my reading didn't feel personalized AT ALL.
Well anyway, I am sure it's difficult to write about people in mass quantity
so my hat is off to you for that - But to be responsible means being
explicit. Language that is very broad is spooky - it opens up my unconcious
mind to disaster. The bottom line is I can't tell from the 6 year forecast
reading what the heck is going on or what the heck will be going on... that's
life. Thank God!

But,I know one famous person, born April 28th, 1946, and is rich, happilly

put in birth information and point to/click certain places on a map to know
the energy of that place for own relocation. Do you still offer that service?

Ich habe mir ein psychologisches und ein Beziehungshoroskop erstellen lassen.
Darin wird empfohlen Famielienforschung zu betreiben. Wie z.B. Wo komme ich
her? und Wo kommen meine Eltern her? u.s.w.
Wie lassen sich solche Fragen am besten nachgehen? Wäre evtl ein Horsokop
meiner Eltern sinnvoll? Evtl. ppsychologische Horoskope beider Elternteile,
Beziehungshoroskop mit Vater und Mutter, oder aber Beziehungshoroskope mit
mir meinem Vater bzw. Mutter? Vielleicht kann mir jemand was empfehlen.

I purchased relationship horoscopes for myself and my partner. about four
years ago. The psychological profile it outlined re my partner was very
positive and i must say i was pleased when i received it. this man turned
out to be the one of the most manipulative, cruel, and dishonest individuals
i have ever met. It has taken me two years to come to terms with the damage
he did to me emotionally and sexually. The profile offered absolutely no
clues to this side of his personality and i find that astonishing. i think
it was a waste of money and i also think it was very misleading. i certainly
won't be putting my trust in this astro/psychological profile again.

Hi all, I see another question has come up with respect to what to do when we
have no official record of our birthtime. Well, the first thing to do is to
check your registry of births and deaths just in case they have your orginal
birth certificate. Being really nice to admin staff at your birth-hospital is
another angle. Failing these avenues, what does one do? I have a theory...
I have been testing this one out for some years now, and there does seem to
be something in it. However, self-knowlege is really important on this one:
the theory is that those of us who know ourselves quite well are able to
figure out our birth times by our usual daily energy levels, preferred times
to sleep, etc, within a couple of hours.
Questions to pose of oneself: (1) when are my energy levels highest on a
daily basis, and (2) when is my preferred time to get out of bed and actually
do something? If you have a good sense of the answer to 2, and it corresponds
closely with 1, then there does seem to be a trend that shows that both 1 and
2 point to your real birth time. I say real because the trend seems to not
respect where you were born versus where you actually live: we import our
real birthtime into the new time zone and acclimatise to both it and our real
birthtime so that our behaviour is pretty much the same whatever the time
zone we are in.
Use the astro.com adjustable profile to creat short charts and try to narrow
things down further by selecting those profiles that best accord with who you
really are. If nothing else, this makes for a good self-honesty exercise. and
I think that that the best way to approach this is to think seriously about
what your real life dreams are and what kinds of people you would ideally
prefer to really spend serious time with.

while viewing my extended day forcast I noticed something quite odd about
June 10th 2005---Under important long term influences: How can Saturn Square
Neptune from Sept 2004 thru the end of June 2005---and at the same time
Neptune Squares Saturn from the middle of Feb 2005 thru Dec 2006? I
understand Saturn went retrograde, but that still doesn't explain
this---Can't a girl get a break??? I would love you explain this to
me---better yet---is it a mistake? (That would be nice...)

vor der Geburt einen anderen Aszendenten und das MC in der Waage steht...ich
war lange Zeit im Ausland und bin künstlerisch tätig. Das kommt in meinem
normalen Radix so nicht zum Ausdruck. Wäre das relevant oder soll man auf

Hi
I was trying to create my horoscope but my problem is that no one ( including
the municipal corporation ) know my birth time accurately. My mom says its
between 12 noon - 7 PM. My birth date was feb 3 1978. My name is with DHAN
rasi if you know the Indian system and my mom says he definately has kept it
with rasi and not otherwise. But when i checked with astrologers they say
that on that day there is no DHAN rasi possible The DHAN rasi is the moon
sign. Can any thing be done coz I have one very serious issue which needs to
be resolved and that is somehow connected very strongly to astrology.

I have a question about the charts that show natal, transits and progressions
combined. The transiting planets are shown a second time inside the wheel,
each with a smaller glyph and with a line which I guess to be showing the
extent of its path, including retrogradation, over a period of time. I can't
find any reference to explain it. If I'm right, what period of time does it
represent and what use is it? Or if I'm wrong, what does it mean?

I read for first time the various feed backs of the members.I am happy to
note that you are guiding on astrlogical matters .I am sure that you can
favour me the same now and in future.
I would like to know whether marrige can be performed with boy and girl
having same nakshtra (Dhanista) with 2 pada difference.Boy is Dhanista with
pada 4 and the girl is with pada 2.In horoscope Guna Match , the percentage
match is 86%,i.e.,they obtained 31 points out of 36.Your reply shall be very
important for me to decide the matter.

Little enigma :
Italy adopted daylight saving time in 1966 but I read that it did not use it
before spring 1972 ... Would anyone be able to confirm that ?
astro.com uses 1966 in its calculations- but would that be accurate ?

Hi,
Thanks for the terrific astrological site. I have been studying astrology on
my own for many years..almost 40. I just want to alert you to a possible
problem I have encountered. I have put in data for a chart in China and done
a composite. The composite chart does not agree with with a composite
generated from another program I downloaded from astrolog. The problem has to
do with the sign of the hour entry from GMT. If I put in -8:00 in the
astrolog program it does not agree with your composite generated. If I put in
+8:00..which is incorrect in this program(astrolog)..it does agree. One of
the programs is in error I think. I hope it isn't yours...this is a great
site.

I am interested in subscribing to the extended daily horoscope. Does it
contain only the same information that you can obtain on Thursdays? or more?
Right now saturn is trine my sun (by one degree), yet it is not listed as one
of the transits?? Will all the transits show? or just the ones you pick?
and how do you pick them? exact orb? or within 2 degrees? please advise.
(also making this information on your site would be helpful)

Hello!
I just wanted to add another thank you to your long list here. The accuracy
of the transits, even on your free Thursdays are usually right on the money.
In recognition of this, I'm curious as to why I find the transit
descriptions for chiron to always be negative in it's description of how it
affects me emotionally or just my day events, and I do not find any accuracy
in it. The other transits in relation to the other planets are always very
accurate in both their negative and positive aspects. Can you explain this
discrepancy? Is it because the dicovery of chiron is so new and we have a lot
to learn? In any case, I am extremely happy with what I've received and
learnt from your site and refer you to everyone who even whispers a word
about astrology. Again, thank you!

I was told I have a grand cross in my chart - is there any cure for my
hanging on the cross all my life - I know I have a self-sabatoge
working that I cant seem to exorcise and a fear of rejection, abandonment,
and something I do really alienates people - is there some kind of hypnosis
or acupuncture or non-surgical removal of the past - I cant seem to get a
focus on the nexus of the other system operating my life

Can we start a blog here on astro.com? For each planet, going through each
sign, and through each house? Users can navigate to a particular page to
offer insight, definitions etc. Analogous to UrbanDictionary.com or
www.wikipedia.org which is built up from the users! Example: one separate
page for venus in sag in the 10th house, specifically. Venus in sag in the
9th house, while close, would still be another distinct blog page. Those
with ideas can blog on, offering their insight to the community. So maybe
after a year a dozen people will have contributed, with a shared panoply of
diverse opinion. How different from a textbook, and how rich a resource!

astonished and impressed!!! Again. It is written about my current life, in
detail.
What I want to tell everybody with this is, that Astrodienst is THE
ABSOLUTELY BEST astrological site on the Web. I am soooo happy to have found
you, it is about 6 years now, I guess. I never was so interested in astrology
before, but now I think it is the best way to learn about yourself, in every

Would just like to write and tell you what a fantastic site you have. It is
absolutely brilliant that it is free. I will definetly be purchasing a full
length report at some point ( currently I do not trust myself to have the use
of a credit card). I am very interested in astrology and i love doing charts
for my family and showing them. Particularly my father a nonbeliever who is
slowly coming round ( stubborn scorpio) due to the accuracy in the

Liz Greene, whose books I have been reading since the 1970s, has done more
to shape my thinking and heal my soul than any other writer or individual
living or dead. I ordered my psychological profile awhile back, expecting
something computerish and so-so but curious and willing to spend a little
money to find out. Instead I received a succinct and profound description of
myself and my core issues. I think this would be second best to actually
getting an in person reading. I especially admire and appreciate -- and
always have -- the tactful and sensitivie language Greene uses while
delivering such a whalop as she is capable of~! God bless Lliz Greene for
the inestimable contribution she has made to my world. May she live long
and prosper into the second Saturn Return.

thanx so much for your great site. lately i'm doing my first uncertain steps
in astrology and your site is of invaluable help. especially the
