My progressed chart shows me six planets move towards the ninth house. From
left to right they are: Pars Fortuna, Uranus, Pluto,Mercurius,Sun, Venus in
Virgo and Jupiter in Leo.
I have always since I was a little girl been very interested in religion,
philosophy and spirituality. Can anyone tell me the meaning os six planets in
the ninth house?

i just wanted to offer a world of thanks to your crew. now that i have my own

alois is this: i love astrology soooo much. it is my true passion in life. i
feel like it is really who i am, an astrologer at heart lol. however, i hv
recently found my destiny, i believe. i have stumbled across a phenomena in
the past 3 years called electronic voice phenomena (evp) which is truly life
changing and amazing. (i've told you before..but here is more :)LOL)...we
have collected some of what we feel are the very best evp recordings in the
world. it is hard to believe that soooo many people dont know about evp when
it has been so simple to get these evps (even tho it does not work all the
time, all that was required for these evps was a simple audio microcassette
recorder!). well, with the new movie white noise being released it is just
like a dream come true. we never thought the media would do something to this
great of an extent to recognize evp.. even though the movie does look pretty
scary, i am just glad people will finally hear about evp!!! anyway, i truly
believe it is my destiny to spread the word about evp! my chart suddenly
makes sense to me (august 26, 1977 4:56 pm independence, mo)! i have 3
planets in the 8th (sun, mercury, saturn), uranus in scorpio on the
midheaven...pisces on the 3 house cusp, and neptune in the 11th, ect. we
recently got an interview with FOX 4 in kansas city aired on thanksgiving
night (can be viewed at www.ghost-voices.com)...and jupiter has been
transitting my 9th house, where pluto and my north node both in libra are.
jupiter is now in a conjunction with my north node. anyway, people are so
amazed by my evps and it feels so good to help others, ect. i feel that evp
is going to be recognized BIGTIME and change the view of our world for many.
anyway, i am sooo sorry to ramble on about this in the feedback area. what i
am wondering is ...with uranus just entering pisces last year (right? last
year?) ... well, i wanted to possible suggest an article be written on what
all this could mean for discoveries, ect. again, thanks so much for all you

Tnx Alois for telling me how the ephemeris worked I didnt realize that abour
the degrees, just one last question, when I calculate the ephemeris I get 3
collumns, for sun:

How can I get where the planet is D or R?
Is there a command? I was testing the DLL with vbsweph of visual basic. Maybe
the data is in one of those collumns and I didnt realize.

it is, the speed column (the third in your list) will show a negative daily
motion value.
Can anybody tell me how I would use a progressed composite chart that I've
generated for this year? Robert Hand doesn't talk about progressed composites
and I was wondering if I would use it the same way I would use a progressed
natal chart. Thanks!

It is you!! If you know for a fact that you entered your birth data in
correctly then chances' are its' you. You may not think certain things'
don't apply, and it's true they don't at first! The energies' these
placements' of the planets' give off can start this year, but you probably
would not feel the effects' until two years' from now. The world is changing
and so are many peoples' beliefs'! I'm not saying your belief's are wrong
you are only misinformed. Astrology, for me anyway, is a tool to help ME
find my place in the universe! And if you open your heart and your mind you
might just find yours'!!!!!

life. I have re-checked my personal data to make sure that the info is
correct. Each day that I read my horoscope I wonder who the (censored) it

I was looking at the test for the ephemeris cause I coulnt get them right on
Visual Basic and the test showed the same.
Moon Ephemeris 333°52'49.8899 while the correct is 3°52'50 for
dic,17,2004.
How can I get the correct ephemeris?

Alois adds: You forgot the sign. The Moon was at 3deg52 pisces. Pisces is from
330 to 359 degrees in the zodiac. 333 is 3 degrees Pisces.
To Marc Italix regarding asters on the cusp:
I am a practicing astrologer and, among the several cases I have laid my eyes
and hands on, I have learned by experience that the way to go is your
suggested blend of energies.
I myself have a 1º30 Libra Ascendant [with a 4º55 Libra Sun, all right next
your Virgo Venus :) ] and I do share some traits with those nit picking Virgo
folks, for instance I naturally tend toward immaculate and orderly looks with
aligned hair and I do worry about it :)
As far as I know, the constelations do super-impose on one another making for
the blurred transition. What probably happens that may support both views is
that while the transition definitely happens, the sign ingress moment might
be the time when the energy from the new sign suplants the previous one,
probably making its way to earth in the fashion of an energy kick...
As it is far too obvious, I am a self-learned astrologer and I do tend to
regard experience as my Master. I would encourage you to move ahead that way
more than following set rules, at the end of the day it will be your
experience and intuition that'll be your most valued asset and what will
define your individuality as an astrologer.
Do not believe a word I said, rather live and learn with a critical mind!
PS: if you look in the mirror and observe a pair of light coloured eyes -
green or blue - AND you're caucasian, then you most probably are looking at
the result of the Libra portion of your Venus )

Although I don't yet suscribe to Astro Dienst, I find it a very useful tool
for understanding myself and friends using the free horroscopes. These free
interpretations are great and written in a serious psychoanalytical way.
They're often eerily accurate. I wonder, do you offer correspondence training
courses and if so, how much would that cost? Infact, how much does
subsription cost?

who was not certain. The longtitude is correct for the place.

I was downloading some of your extended charts and I noticed one for
progressed composite. I got one for my boyfriend and myself and was surprised
to find that our progressed composite sun is the same as my natal sun. I have
Robert Hand's book on composite charts, but he doesn't really mention
progressions. How would you interpret this?

place to compare and discuss their charts. Also I can't find out this

About astrological discussion forums (fora), there are many such places on the
Internet. Please do a little search, e.g. among yahoo groups.
In my experience, most non-moderated groups deteriorate quickly and get
dominated by cranks. Moderation
of a discussion group - i.e. the presence of someone who checks each
contribution for acceptability - requires a huge staff effort or amount of
idealistic work. You may try the usenet newsgroup alt.astrology.moderated.

I have little experience with charts which are created without birthtime.
If you do the chart for sunrise, the Moon carries an uncertainety of up to 10
degrees forward in the zodiac, and 4 degrees backward. The house cusps, MC etc
are undefined, and should not be considered. The other planets have only
a small uncertainety of less than one degree for planets up to Mars, and
only a few arch minutes for the outer planets.

Dear Alois,
I am a student at Kepler College in Seattle, and I wanted to ask you what
your criteria is for allowing certain schools to advertise on your website.
I noticed that you've recently put up advertisements for Bath Spa, and the
CPA, and I was wondering if you would be kind enough to help us to get the
word out about our astrological academy that we have here in the States. We
just awarded Bachelors degrees to our first graduating class a couple of
months ago, and just a few weeks ago Kepler was authorized by the Washington
Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer a Masters degree in Eastern and
Western Traditions: The History, Philosophy and Transmission of Astrology.
The school has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past four years
since classes began, and the program has reached a point of maturity, and it
is now time for it to reach a larger audience. This is why I come to you,
because both Kepler, and Astrodienst share the common goal and responsibility
of shaping the way astrology is perceived and viewed by the public at large
in the coming decades and centuries. There are many prospective students
here in the United States, and in other places around the world that would
jump at the chance to learn about astrology in a formalized setting, but for
whatever reason would not be able to attend a place like the CPA or Bath Spa.
For those people, Kepler would be just as ideal of a setting where they
could pursue their studies. I know that this website, and this company is
providing an enormous service to the world by providing the types of services
that you do, and many people (including myself) began their lifelong
infatuation with astrology here at astro.com. I guess what I am asking here
is that you continue to help mold the future generations of astrologers by
directing them to the places where they can develop and refine their studies
and then contribute what they have learned to collective tapestry that is the
art and science of astrology. What would it take for Kepler College to be
able to be on the list of schools that you advocate as centers for the study
of astrology?

Am a big big fan of your website practially since its inception I
particularly follow the important long term influences. Am a little worried
though, because a new one which is particlarly long (Feb. 04 - Nov. 05) is
rather negative. I have tendency to believe in them but have noticed that
when reading all my long-term influences together there are lot's of overlaps
and even contradictions in them. What to do? Please advise?

Alois adds: In AstroClick, the popup windows have a little printer icon
near the top right corner. If you click on it you get a printer dialogue.
In Internet Explorer, you can also click with the right (!) mouse button
anywhere in the window, to get a list of command options. There is also
a printer command. In Firefox, which you seem to be using, there is no such
printer command, but you can email yourself the content of the page, and
then print the email.
You have a very generous site. You offer so much free information that a lot

Alois. I am curious to know what if any kind of adjustments are made if your
planets lie on the cusp. For instance in my chart Venus is in Virgo at
29°38'52. That would, in my mind, constitute a cusp of Virgo and Libra which
would yield maybe a combination of Virgo and Libra making a slightly
different interpretation. This would introduce the idea of a less discrete
fixation but a more liberal approach to astrology. Am I way off base here?

issue. Most astrologer I know treat the sign borders as sharp - this is why
they use sign ingresses as important time moments. They couldn't if there
would be a blurred transition.

Alois adds: Not at all. Marcury is retrograde, it goes over the MC which is
the end of the 9th and begin of the 10th house. At this point it enters the
9th house in a retrograde manner. Both issues, Mercury on MC and Mercury
enters 9th house apply.

Please tell me why when doing a chart for author Margaret Mitchell, using
your time-twin data, I come up with an ascendant of 21 Virgo when your chart
has 13 Virgo, with a different UT and ST also. The 13 Virgo seems more
correct since it has Jupiter conjunct the nadir and she's a Thursday, which I
often find for authors of her type.

Alois adds: There seems to be some confusion about when the state of Georgia
went from local mean time to standard timezones. It seems that this happened
later than in most of the other US states, partially in 1888. But according
to our database, some parts of Georgia remained on local time until end of
1902.
I will investigate this further, and fix any errors if they are found.
Later Dec 6th: I have veified that the adaptaion of standard time Georgia
has really been slow, and most of the state remained on Local Mean Time
until end of 1902.
Gabriel in 'Traite de l'heure dans le monde' writes about Georgia:
De 1888 à
1903 le régime standard est lentement adopté, notammenent en 1888 à Athens,
Atlanta, Brunswick, Savannah.
This is in agreement with the newer electronic edition of Thomas Shanks' American
Atlas, while the printed editions contain (at least up to revision 5) an
error in regard to Atlanta between 1888 and 1903.
To make it worse, our online database had also a problem with Georgia before
1903
due to a software glitch. In consequence, I deleted all stored birth data
for births in Georgia before 1903, in total about 100 natal records out of
6.6 millions currently stored records at www.astro.com. Those users (like
you Paul) who had such a record in their files are requested to re-enter it. This time they
can be reasonably sure that the timezone will be correct.
There is still a
lot of complexity regarding the use of Eastern Time versus Central Time
in different parts of Georgia at different points of history. We can only
hope that these fine details are repesented correctly in Shanks' data.
I trust that they are.

extremely inciteful and have absolutely nailed the major forces operating in
my life...however, my daily personal reports are very frequently off-base
