Wonderful site.
My brother and I were born in Rochester, Michigan, USA in 1951 and 1953.
1. Our birth records show Detroit (30 miles south) as the birthplace. Is this
significant? Are small north-south errors important?
2. Was daylight savings in use in Michigan during either of our births?
Thank you,

Vielen Dank,

hello alois and the whole astrodienst team,
i love your website and pretty much everything has been conceived very
cleverly and charmingly.
i bought myself recently into your EXTENDED FORECAST option. it's very cool
– and i love robert hand's copy.
however i have got the following wish: can you not have a list of five to
ten of all current transits instead of just the three most precise ones as
you've got them at the moment? it could be worthwhile also to have their
respective orbs in paranthesis or something in which case you might want to
have all planets within an 1 degree orb listed (the most accurate on top,
like it is at the moment) and then perhaps you've got upcoming transits (2 -3
degree orbs, for instance) and the most recent ones listed as a reference as
well (but dimmed or in different colours – don't know, something like that
would be very cool.)
thanks a lot and keep up the good work,

Hallo!

Online-Tageshoroskop geschaffen.
Die Texte beim Tageshoroskop sind gekürzte Wiedergaben aus Robert Hand's Buch
'Planets in Transit'.
in unseren 'Jahresthemen'.
Astro Good People,
I am very thankful and eternally grateful for your excellent service and the
dedication and contribution of each and every individual contribution that
allows me and affords me the ability to access astrological data at no cost.
I am eternally grateful and appreciative to have had your services at my

services providing the window.

Dear Alois
I just want to say I love your website, I have created many charts here for
friends and family because of the accurate info.
But I am upset because I cannot create a natal chart for my husband, because
where he was born is not on your list of locations:(
I was wondering if the Longitude Latitude could be added to your data
base.
He was born in Alderney Channel Islands.......I know its only a small place,
but an important one just the same.:)
Looking forward to your reply......either here or via email.
Thanks again
regards Michelle

Christchurch, New Zealand --- Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 03:36 Universal Time
Alois adds: No need to be upset. Our atlas lists towns, not island names. If you had searched
for the only town on Alderney, St. Anne, you would have found it.
But it would have been listed as belonging to Guernsey, which politically
all of Alderney does.
I have added an extra entry 'Alderney St. Anne' so next time, you will find
it. It is still listed as 'country' Guernsey, which is the correct
political association.
You also will not find entries for Guernsey
or Jersey, but you will find entries for all towns on these islands.
I wonder if I didn't enter enough information to get a reply. I am the
person who sent in the question earlier this month about 3 yods in my chart.
In the meantime, my husband and I are separating, and I am brokenhearted. My
birthdate is November 4th 1952 at 6:17 am. I am moving to another city,
which is good, but I want to save my marriage, too. My life keeps taking
these reversals, each one increasingly painful. Help.

I'd like to know what is the difference between the short forecast by Robert
Hand, and the Year's forcast by Hand. Is it simply longer because of the
year? If it is just copied from text, how can it have any personal guidance
? Or isn't there any personal guidance beyond what I read in the short
report?

With all that is going on the U.S., particularly Florida, I was wondering if

Alois adds: While hurricanes are certainly celestial phenomena - something
happens on your sky - I am not sure how to deal with such weather events as collective
astrological phenomena. It is very difficult to grasp events
astrologically if a large number of people are affected, but they are
confined to a rather narrow, and rather random geographical area, like to
the path of a cyclone.
I have not been in a hurricane, and luckily the Swiss build more solid
houses than
the people populating the Carribean shores.
My own psychological experience in the face or afthermath of storms is
that of awe and admiration for the forces of nature.

Dear Good people of Astrodienst
Firstly can I express my heartfelt thnks for everything you do -
the ritual of checking in with you each morning is a bright start
to each day!
Please can I ask one question about my situation - is there anything within
my chart that indicates the ongoing situation
of having no home base?
I lived in one place until I was 18 and since then have lived in
different countries and dozens of different places. In 1979 and then again in
2001 I relocated to foreign countries to live.
It has all been very exciting but I wonder if I will ever reach a
time to put down roots?
I would be very interested to know if my chart has any reflection of this
restless existence.
Thank you again for your wonderful web site

I love your site, and it is very accurate, instructive and engaging.
However I encountered a mystifying problem upon reading my daily horoscope

upon checking my forecast horoscope it says nothing of the sort for the
present time or projected period of time until January, 2004. Any ideas on
why this might occur? Thanks!

oben genannte Eigenschaften besitzen. Ich habe also lange Zeit geglaubt,
Defensivhaltung.
In Wirklichkeit schließt

Greetings from Alabama! The eye of Hurricane Ivan went right up Highway 59
about four short blocks from my house. We still don't have electricity,
though in my area, we have had water all along. (I'm on the computer at the
library.) Talk about a new understanding of INEXORABLE. It came closer,
closer, closer, as the winds began to whisper, whistle, blow, howl and roar.
As early as 3:00 AM the morning before I could see an army of clouds marching
silently across the sky. At that point, I thought, this storm is a monster.
Gratefully, this area had little structural damage. The trees are down every
where. How could so many tree fall, fall in the yards, in the streets and so
few fall on houses?? We are very happy to have come through it so well.
Florida, the Panhandle, wasn't so lucky, being on the northeast quadrant of
the storm. I could tell you many little details, but there are others who
wish to get on the internet. WOW. Mother nature is a bitch.

Dear people/Alois,
as a continious member and visitor of ure still overwelming site i have a
practicall question in the first place visiting the travel-click site there
is a choice that can be made as for example: ' europe disharmony aspects '
,clicking those dishormany aspects i found out that many of these aspects are
actually quite positive! Is there an explanation for this?
After visiting this site for many years now, especially the partner section
and the travel site it is miraculous that it is so accurate, for example i am
now in Sweden at an angle where my mercurius aspects triangles with the
MC,-in my case it rules my second house-, and since i visit this line, money
seems to be no problem! ( My pass fortuna is also found in that house, and
back in the Netherlands less luck with the money hahah .no mercurius MC
aspects ! ) More aspects with fantastic outcomes in combination with a closer
interpretation of my chart came out during my travelings..Fantastic
experiences i can find now all over the world since i travel a lot with this
site in mind.., and yes, it brought (although refinement and closer knowledge
of ure own chart will access a greater deal of efficiency) to explicit
experiences due to this carto-graphy!
Thanks, and maybe we can develop a more specific use of the tools as i can
manage them a little now for the best result in combination with the
different houses etc.!
Aside of this cartography i have developed a new vision with my friend back
in the Netherlands..ure partnership comparisingmodels found in the free (
interactive- ) partnership chapter is a great and very accurate tool, tho due
to relationships that did not worked out we did research on a deeper (
astrologicall ) level. Other deeper underlying reasons and feelings came to
the surface we have to deal with and we discovered something..we discovered
that there is another platform to look upon in the first place before using
the tools u use in ure site..we can say we discovered a simple but very
accurate tool to shift the right soulmates from the wrong ones in a
explainable and logic way..and it works! We as a team would love to come over
and talk about it because we think it can be a great help in addition to ure
site!

Since you've incorporated Chiron and Photus (?) into your esoterica, you
ought to consider the significance of the galactic center located in
Sagittarius (astronomical constellation, not astrological sign). Our galaxy
is arguably home to thousands to sapient races. Certainly the center of all
this life force should have some sort of significance.

Alois adds: The astrology we practice is concentrating on our nearby cosmic
environment, i.e. the solar system and the (symbolically and/or physically)
important objects within it.
Fixed stars or other remote objects like the galactic or the supergalactic
center are not considered part of our 'close cosmic home' and not included in
this style of astrology.
I ordered a psychological horoscopeby Liz Green for myself this month and
when it came I read it through carefully.. then read it again. Okay , there
are parts that fit. very well, The mother and father parts are good .. but
this report states over and over that I have so much Earth BUT...I DON'T!
Earth is the least element represented in my chart. I have only one planet in
earth (mars in Virgo) and taurus rising 28 deg. So?? I don't really think
this fits me..It does not speak to my fire element...
Then it contradicts itself in the next section. Saying first I am very earthy
and need to embrase the spirit. Then is says.. You are inchanted and draw
sustenence from in inner reseviur of images and dreams from non-rational
convictions of some numinous power at work.. ?? Not is this not spiritual?
I don't understand some of this report and all in all, think it is a nice
reading, but doen't seem to be me?

to find an edition of Mr. Hand's book Planets in Tranist that includes
Chiron. Does Mr. Hand have a new edition, which includes Chiron or is your
site the only place to find these transits?

Alois adds: The Chiron transit interpretations are not by Robert Hand. They
have been added by Astrodienst staff writers.
I just received my psychological profile by Liz Green. I was astounded by
the sheer accuracy of it. Honestly, I did not believe it would be so
thorough and right on target. I wept as I read it to my husband as he and I
have struggled to understand why I have been on a journey of such
self-discovery these past two years. The profile was so accurate it contained
the phrase I always use, What am I supposed to learn from this?. I am still
in shock by the 'nail on the head' profile. Thank you for giving me the gift
of understanding.

I am trying to do a chart on birthday 2-19-53 which comes up on your

this date as Acquarian which I beleive is accurate. Can I get some feedback
on this and which way I should interpret this chart?

Alois adds: The Sun does rarely chnage signs at midnight yiour timezone. Each
year and month the sign chnage is a different odd time. The book you need to
check is an ephemeris for 1953, which lists the exact times of sign
changes.
In 1953, the Sun went from Aquarius into Pisces at 22:41 (10:41pm)
Universal time on 18 February. Depending on which timezone you are, this
will make a different local time for you. In US central time (6 hours west
of Greenwich) it will have been 4:41 pm Feb 18th. Born before that, one is
Aquarius, born after that one is Psisces.
This is a fact of nature.

I have had a life that has had sudden reverses. Now I feel another transition

Alois adds: Early in history a detailed chronology of events in the Bible was
worked out, most famously by Archbishop Ussher for the King James Bible.
According to these historians, Adam and Eve were born on October 26 in the
year 4000 BC. The birth time is not quoted, you might want to assume noon (see
below for further details on the time)
To enter this in our online data entry form, please use astronomical year
counting and enter the year as: -3999
It looks as if the historians converted the time already to Gregorian
Calendar. The day is appropriately a Friday, the 6th day of the creation week,
before God rested on Sabbath.
As a location you can use Bagdad, Iraq. This is certainly close to the
paradise, and as time is only guesswork, the precise location is not
relevant.
You might play a bit with the time. On the 6th day of the creation week, God
"created land creatures and man who is to have dominion over all animals".
Considering there were a lot of land creatures to do, it may have been late
afternoon by the time God got down to breath on Adam. You might try 5pm, shortly before
sunset.
My source is via google: http://www.dunedinmethodist.org.nz/diff/eden.htm
Adam has a powerful Neptune-Jupiter conjunction, and
AstroClick portrait has to say about this aspect (author: Robert Hand):
Jupiter Conjunct Neptune
Your ideals are very high, and you are a bit of a dreamer, who sees visions of
a more pleasant and beautiful world than this one. Also you are an optimist,
believing that somehow everything in your life will work out just fine. In
fact, no matter how often matters go badly, it does not seem to disturb you.
This has the positive value of helping you stay cheerful in the face of
adversity, but it can also result in being blind to the need for change in
your life. You may delude yourself that a situation is marvelous, when
actually it is not.
Often this aspect signifies a desire to take risks in the foolish belief that
you cannot fail. Gamblers and speculators may have this aspect, which by
itself does not tell whether or not you will be lucky. It can go either way.
But even if you are not lucky, you may think that you are. If you really lose
out whenever you take risks, come down out of your cloud and realize that you
are losing. Learn to be more cautious. While you are young it is easy to
change your habits, but as you get older you might become quite addicted to
gambling and be unable to change.
On a higher level, this aspect can indicate, even in a young person, a strong
concern with spirituality and religion. You need to believe in some higher
power in the universe that relates to your life and gives it meaning. As you
get older, this belief can blossom into quite a beautiful trait of being very
loving, generous and compassionate to everyone. Also you may have a strong
mystical streak, a desire to be personally close to God.
[The gambling at the time and place involved the ingestion of unknown fruit and dealings with serpents. Being
scorpios, Adam and Eve liked these games.]
PS: Mesopotamia is also the place where astrology was developed. It may
however have been a few years later, around 3000 BC. Sadly, we have no precise
date for the first chart. This is why I gave you the chart of the first man
instead.
I would like to have my chart done in two relationship comparison charts
with two very famous musicians. John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Can you do
those comparision charts? If not, do you have their natal charts for sale?
Please let me know either way.
thanks

When I look at my everyday astrochart, and choose the extended day-service
for the days late this month, and actually all the months to come, I find
that there is no mention of my, as I see it, important Jupiter-Pluto(R)

only happening every 12. year. Why isnt it included?

Alois adds: I wonder where you looked.
On 27 Sept 2004, you have listed under 'Other transits today':
Jupiter Conjunction Pluto, exact at 08:13,
activity period from 22 September 2004 to 1 October 2004.
You are plagued by conjunctions to Pluto: Mars on the same day, Mercury on the
28th, Sun on the 23rd.
Mars was the 'interpretation winner' on the 27th, probably because it is
more nasty, even when it happens every two years.
But this is certainly a day where it pays off to read also the other transits
of the day, not just the chosen one.

something with a specific attraction.
Your Jupiter will have a conjunction with the Pluto of a whole age group -
this is not a very individual aspect.
I recommend you look more at contacts
involving personal chart factors (planets up to Mars and the Ascendant).

I already have Robert's book. And I have honored him by buying it. But as you
are aware, the book doesn't exactly fit in your pocket so I don't take it
with me wherever I go. My suggestion was for an online version of the book
(or a similar title) so that I could reference information when I'm online
instead of waiting until I get home. This could be premium content and I
would be willing to pay for it.

astro.com is the only place I trust for an objective, straightforward
reading. My mother has been an astrologer for 35+ years (and is quite good,
so much so that she can tell a stranger what he was doing some years ago),
but I don't believe that she can be objective with me. She has many, if not
all, of Robt Hand's books among others.
Anyhow, here's my recent crisis.... September 3rd, 2004 was my astrological
birthday(09/04/1966, 13:51am, Cleveland, Ohio, USA) on which, my dog
died....(there's a good question for a virgo)...ok, the dog was old, but
maybe you could afford me an insight. If not that, then simply analyzie the
situation for the benefit of your understanding of Virgo. (ps. the dog's bd
is 09/18/1993, time unknown, Ravenna, Ohio, USA) I must mention that the dog
did her job well, all her life, watching the home and keeping her family
safe...another Virgo....
Again, thanks for being a trustworthy source for insight,

Thanks for your quick response. So changing color is out of the question but
is there any other way to keep track of which transits were read and which
weren't? For example, when I click on one I have to make a mental note of
what the next one is so that I can continue to read them in order which is a
bit distracting. What about having a next transit link, would that be
possible? If not, do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

It would be nice if you had a cookbook page for looking up transits and
progressions by planet and/or aspect. Although some transits are available
via various chart selections, there are always times when I would like to
know what a particular transit or progression means that doesn't necessarily
appear for the chart I've selected.
