Hi Alois,
Concerning the Personal Daily Horoscope section, as you know that there is a
huge number of transits a day and as it is impressive also how your can
select the some of the main relevant ones , I was wondering what is the basis
of your selection. Is it based on a calculation with the progressed chart?
CAn you say 2 or 3 words about it or point me to the place on astrodienst.com
where you talk about it?
I thank you for any answer

Alois adds: There is not really a HUGE number of transits to choose from.
Please see the FAQ entry How do you
determine which transit is selected for each day?
PLEASE bring back Mr. Pelletiers 'Alternative Interpretations' for the
composite horoscope. I like Robert Hand's interpretation, however, I find Mr.
Pelletier to be more to-the-point and precise. Thank you for helping novices
like us learn more about astrology.

I'm in North St. Paul, Minnesota. Please tell me how to use your free chart
system to obtain ACCURATE charts. EX: I typed in July 31, 2004, and the
moon was not in Aquarius as it should have been. Please tell me how to
obtain proper chart information for transit information, and to obtain
accuracy. Thanks. Sharon

Mondtransit doch immer gleichzeitig. Manchmal wird das im Tageshoroskop so
angezeigt, manchmal aber auch an verschiedenen Tagen. Wie kommt das?
ich hoffe, meine Frage ist verständlich. Danke für die Antwort, herzliche

Alois adds:
Dabei
kommt Pluto immer zuerst dran.
Though I was born and continue to live for four decades and a little bit more
since, in a country where astrology controls the very existence of each
individual through their firm belief in it down the ages, I was always
nothing more than a curious observer, whose opinions regarding this subject
were always ambivalent. Now, after following the daily horoscope at this site
for the past few months, purely out of curiosity which is a basic instinct of
mine, I have begun to waver - I have begun to consider an opinion that maybe
there is really something to it. The daily readings of mine have been
uncannily accurate - almost an earth-shaking quake to my ambivalence.

Alois adds: First, please be aware of the different zodiacs used in western
versus Indian/Hinde astrology. They differ by nearly one full sign, for a
given date.
Second, the Sun does not change signs at midnight of your local timezone, but
at varying times, different each year. You cannot say '21st May is Taurus' and
'22nd May is Gemini'. Near a sign change, each horoscope must be computed
correctly, using the birth time, even to get the Sun sign right.
In 1984, the Sun entered Gemini on 21 May, 20:58 Universal time. That will
be early in the morning of the 22nd, at 02:28 in Indian timezone. If you are
born before your (tropical zodiac) Sun ist in Taurus.
hi alois
this is more a question than fdback -
the forecast by robert (in the free horoscopes section) has long time frames.
Eg, for my natal chart, good fortune (Ur.trine Jup), says 1 July - 25 August
(2004).
But when I access transits via the daily scope, the time frames are always
short'n'sweet, eg, the same good fortune (Ur.trine Jup) is listed as April 04
- November 05.
why is this so?
Still love this site after five or so years and appreciate the 'guidance' and
insight the transit descriptions give me.
ciao! tchuss! thanks, britt

Hey... ive been reading a lot about my own personal astro-reports and have
even purchased a few reports (not from this site) . However i must agree that
this site is indeed one of the best... i mean it is not only insightful, its
highly accurate- that is not to say that other readings are not as accurate
but there is something different about this one (cannot really put a finger
to it though) . I like Robert Pelletier style of writing, its brilliant. And
Robert Hand is just so accurate, its amazing, especially since ive purchased
and read so many other reports, so it does speak volume.
Im really interested in purchasing a report however am wondering if the
reports can be sent via emails instead of mail, especially in this digital
age where cost can be cut via emails. Is Astrodienst heading towards that
direction or still gonna stick to snail mail ???
Thanks a lot! Great site... cos after a while, all the reports start sounding
the same and i need something different.

Regarding the question of printed version electronic format: When your
neighbourhood news agent has closed, the bookshops in your town have
disappeared and you do all your reading on screen from downloaded material,
then you can be assured that Astrodienst will also offer its material via
download. Until then, we like printed and bound booklets.
Liebes Astro-Team!

Hello Alois,
Great site! It keeps getting better and better all the time. One question:
have you come up with a convenient way of finding parallels and
contra-parallels in the declinations? Do you have a declinational
aspectarian on your Web site?
Keep up the great work!

wrong as the number boxes confused me when I signed up.

We don't know your time of birth, only you do.
Please check and correct it yourself. As you might have noticed, every

Hi, I have a question about your horoscope readings. Do you use
AstroIntelligence software to generate all of your for-charge readings? For
instance, there is an option to buy a psychological portrait, by Liz Greene.
Does this mean that she actually reads your natal chart personally, or does
it mean that a reading will be generated by AstroIntelligence using the input
that she contributed to the software?
Thanks

When attempting to print the free data sheet from my natal chart, there are
great big balls of black that block out all of the aspects table. I've tried
it with 3 different charts with the same results. I've tried printing
directly from the site as well as saving to my hard drive and printing there.
If this is being blocked by Astro, then it needs to be restated that the
chart is indeed not FREE. It seems a bit odd that this is happening. As I do
not have color ink in my printer at this time, much of the chart info is not
visible from the chart page.
I truly appreciate the information that you provide, especially the free
info, as I am learning Astrology and am tight with funds currently. But it
does make it very difficult if that information is blacked out!

Familiensystemen nachgefrag.

Hi,
Thanks for the site, I'm a frequent visitor.
Repeatedly, the forecast section of the free-services area, is not including
really major transits. I feel this is actually a dis-service to visitors who
aren't able to really read a chart the transits.
For example, today I happen to look at the Forecast for someone in my list.
Then I looked at her chart with transits. Lo and behold, the forecast had
not even mentioned that Saturn is squaring the person's Sun-Mars conjunct...
Mars at 15, Sun at 17, and Saturn squaring them at 16. That's pretty
obvious, and pretty important in terms of what the person should be made
aware of.
I've encountered this kind of thing repeatedly. Please try to re-code how
the transits are prioritized, or whatever, because this makes the forecast
section downright misleading, wouldn't you agree? Sure, it can't be very
thorough, with the limitations of the page. However... the prioritization
seems very messed up.
Thanks for your consideration in this - and thanks for the services in
general,

Thank you to all at Astrodienst for providing such a fascinating
and easy to use site.I have created ten profiles in My Astro and
am learning such a great deal about astrology, I have a Pars
Fortunae in Aquarius, so I'm told ,which apparently means a
natural gift for astrology, so I should have been doing this
years ago. I wanted to know what effect has a Saturn and
Moon opposition, where Saturn is in Capricorn near the Imum
Coeli and the Moon is in Cancer at the midheaven. The person
in question is a Taurus with Libra ascendant. The Saturn
opposition would seem to explain many inhibitions and hang
ups in the person concerned, a feeling of being unworthy of
love which leads them to avoid close contact with others, plus
an unloving ambitious mother. What are your views on this
configuration ? Keep up the good work, it is a superb site.

Of course the software for it is ready long before, and many test samples

I have been using your service for a few years now and greatly appreciate its
availability. Interesting how many people know of it and use it, ...let's run
a match on Astrodienst seems to be part of the vocabulary these days.
I have a couple of questions, the first about Astrocartography. You warn us
not to rely on the readings of the Astrotravel service for important
decisions. My question is: for those of us contemplating a move, whom do we
contact to get good astrocartographic information? Is there a book?
The second refers to the short term forecasts I am receiving. I am a
Capricorn (4 planets in this sign)and aware of the Saturn transit through
Cancer which is effecting my chart with a series of opositions. However, at
the same time I am also receiving hits from Jupiter transiting through Virgo,
trines to each of the Cap planets. The forecast is not mentioning the Jupiter
hits, only the Saturn ones. Why?
Thank you,

who advertise their services for relocation. It is impossible to judge the
quality of their counselling. At Astrodienst, we are working with Liz Greene

The intermediate results look very promising, I can say.
The short report forecast is kept incomplete by design. This is made very

I've been a faithful Astro.com follower for a number of years and just love
your site. It offers many diverse charts, etc. However, I do have
complaints on two issues:
1. Why do you not offer purchases via the internet, so that one can purchase,
download and print a specific chart, rather than waiting to receive the
material in the post, which takes much too long? Kindly explain this
non-offer. I find it very frustrating that I am not able to receive the
chart, immediately.
2. I've seen that there have been a number of requests for the National chart
of the State of Israel, over the past couple of years. However, you still
have not posted such a chart. Why? What is your objection to posting the
chart, based upon the time and date of the declaration of the independence of
the State of Israel? Is this a political or antisemitic decision? If not,
kindly clarify for us all as to why you still refuse to post this chart.
Thanking you in advance for your time, assistance and cooperation with the
above requests.
I wish your team continued wonderful success in the astrology field.

Hi,
Of course you know you have the best site in the world, and it has pacified
my neptune many times when it was vibing, but i do have a suggestion:
Being a capricorn and always having a plan, i want to be able to
astrologically determine all probable soulmate aspects for the years that i
have estimated to be reasonable. There is another site that let's you put in
the dates, like your own here, but it goes by day and year only, so we both
know that won't be as accurate as to provide a solid mountain of evidence the
he/she would be a good candidate for partnership. One thing i do like about
that site it that it gives you a number which is the sum of the positive and
negative vibes. So i run about positive 1500 with middle of november
scorpios for several years, then they fade a little and so on. My mother and
i were about a negative 600, and that's an honest interpretation. As a
matter of fact, it is fairly accurate, but you can tell that the missing
birthtime and location does affect the results.
I was just wondering if maybe Liz has any plans in the future to incorporate
giving a numerical value to the synastry aspects so that we could check
ourselves like we do now, but get a number. This works really well when you
put it in a spreadsheet and make line graphs and stuff...yeah, i know my
capricorn business sense is spilling over into my love life, but it is the
goat's tendency to be cool and careful at love, right? Now i have a graph of
the sweet spots of the months and years where my soulmate might come from,
but there is no birthtime.
Or maybe you could do one better and also have a new report to offer. How
about a love path report that would forecast most likely partners that will
have the best chance of lasting through the years, so we could look for those
birthdays? I have checked several people i've met using your service that
exists, but i'd like to know all my options in a numerical equation, weird,
huh? I know as accurate as your synastry is, it shouldn't be out of your
reach, but this is just an humble plea from an eager, ambitious ol goat!
Thanks for your time.
If you decide not to, can you recommend any software that handles this
request: produces a numerical value, that is.
Peace,
Thomas

Alois adds: What brings and keeps people together in relationships is very
much a mystery. We are all very different, and have very different needs
from relationships, and different capacities to bring into relationships.
We also carry our past experiences, from the family background and from our
previous relationships as baggage into each new one.
I am sure that these complexities cannot be reduced, IN NO WAY, to
something as simple as a numerical value, as you demand.
I am aware that there are simple minded concepts about relationships out
there. But the fact that such concepts are used by some media does not imply
that they any real value, beyond entertaintment, sales or marketing purposes.
Astrology can be very helpful in understanding an existing relationship between
two particular individuals. But this requires an individual analysis of each
relationship case, based on the complete birth data of the two partners.
If a relationship is not actually lived, but only considered as a
'potential', and if the detailed birth data (including time) of both partners
are not known, the possibilities of serious astrological analysis are very
much reduced.
Hi,
How can I include additional info when requesting a horoscope,e.g I am a

Hallo,

Haus
gedeutet.
Computerprogramm Willkür in welchem Haus

On the time selection for the natal chart there is no +4.5 GMT selection for
Iran summer time, it only uses the +3.5 GMT standard Iran time. Therefore to
get the correct results I have to use the manual settings and enter the GMT
time and date. The local time and date is 29th July 1973 * 00:45:00 so I
have to enter GMT 28th July 1973 * 20:15:00 OR enter 28th July 1973 11:45:00
+3.5 GMT. Both giving the same results. Is this correct? Thanks :-)

Alois adds: According to all expert information accessible to us, there was no
summer time in Iran before 1978.
The Iran standard time was 3.5 hour east until 1 Nov 1977, then went to 4h
until 1979, when it returned to 3.5 h.
Hello
This is JOrge De Lellis. I just wrote you an email describing you my error
of posting to you the wrong year of birth of my father Octavio De Lellis.
And I have realized that I wrote the wrong year again in the feedback that I
sent a few minutes ago.
I wrote 1963 as the correct date, and it is 1943!!
Again, and again I make the same mistake. Sorry.
Sincerely
Jorge De LEllis

Hello
I have been looking where to post a query but only found this Feedback
system, I hope I don´t bother anyone too much if you need to pass my e-mail
to someone else.
Dear Astrologists,
I have committed a very silly mistake, and an unforgivable one with my
father´s present. The situation was this one:
I wasn´t sure about my father´s age!!! I know his birthdate but I am never
sure about his age. So I called my mother and asked her about his date of
birth (to be sure!) and she (since she is old) apparently got confused or I
heard wrong and therefore got the year wrong!!
Now, my father receives my present (his psychological chart) with the wrong
year (1967 instead of 1963 !!). You can imagine how badly I felt. I have no
excuses. None at all.
My question and request is ..... is there any chance of getting a discount
doing his phsycological chart again with his correct date of birth? (16:00
hours, born in the city of Piura in the country of Peru, in the year 1963).
I understand that I will have to pay for the postage and handling to
Sydney-Australia. But since the charts are not so cheap ..... well, you
know, money is not on my side usually.
I indeed feel so stupid! but I cannot consider myself defeated until I get a
no for an answer.
I would really appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely
Jorge De Lellis

You apparently would like a younger father.
I've been using your free charts to verify my psychic findings for spiritual
birth times. I haven't come very recently and I'm disappointed in the
changes you've made. I went where I usually do--extended --and found no
place to put the birth time and place. So I did the other one and couldn't
get the house system and other things I want.
It used to be all together and now it's not. How do I get the chart in the
way I want it?
Thank you for any help you can give me--I'm pretty much a novice with
computers.

I need to be able to punch in my own coordinates when making a chart...
I'm using the davison relationship chart doing this I come up with the third
'entities'' theoretical birth information and general location... what I'm
trying to do then is to throw a synastry chart off of this essences' info and
mine or alternately the other original individual but what I have to work
with are average coordinates rather than a city or state, as I said before.
so, I have to try to find the midpoint location by hand and with the help of
the davison coordinates...this is messing with my info! it would be
wonderful if your system could incorporate actual coordinates rather than
just city/village/state/country? i know i'm being lazy, i could just print
out the davison chart and make some type of mobile wheel or what not for each
individual and the third... but it would just be easier to be able to punch
in the coordinates and your charts just have so many other factors i can put
in. also it would be fun to use your 'astro click love' in regards to the
entity... can you help me out or send me to another source?

I recommand that you have a look at software packages like
Solar Fire and Kepler. Most likely, they offer what you are looking for.
Thank you so much for sharing your chartware. It is truly a gift, and I am
grateful. Is there a way to change house systems for the chart? I use Koch
houses a lot, and it might be interesting to compare Placidus to Koch. Thank
you again for sharing the lights!

see Extended chart selection -> House System.
There is also a choice of Chart

house system selection is made.
Please see also the FAQ Is it possible to
choose different house systems for all chart drawings and interpretations?
Astro.com is amazing. I only recently found it after reading a book by
Jessica Adams who referred readers to it. I am astounded at how accurate the
information is on AstroClick Portrait. I have a new understanding of myself

solcher Schnittpunkt?
Vielen Dank!

Today in the daily horoscope I got this message, but do not understand what
it means by the graphical overview at the beginning of this calendar
Please Help
A special day
Today, there are practically no transits of the swift moving planets to your
natal chart perhaps a good opportunity to go back to the long-ranging
influences still effective at the moment. Of course it would make just as
much sense to look ahead in order to prepare for the next long-term transit.
In doing that, you may find the graphical overview at the beginning of this
calendar useful.

Hello!
Why does the position of planets and Ascendant shift one house in charts
created using western astrology / vedic astrology, using the same birth date,
time, place of birth.
Would appreciate getting your own chart drafted at
http://www.cyberastro.com/ ( Vedic astro ) and
http://www.astro.com/horoscopes/ ( western astro ) .
Would appreciate an explanation from your end.

Alois adds: There exists different traditions of astrological technique in
different cultures. You can consider it as similar to the existence of
different art traditions, or different religions. Human people have more than
one way to think and to express themselves.
About the particular differences between the hindu-sideral zodiac, and the
western-tropical zodiac, please see this article Precession and Zodiac
Please see also the FAQ ->
General Issues - Eastern Astrology
By the way, you can run sidereal charts at astro.com.
In Free Horoscopes -> extended chart selection, you find the
option to use a different zodiac for chart drawings. You might want to use
zodiac setting 'Hindu/Lahiri geocentric sidereal', if you prefer Hindu
astrology. However, there are more differences between Hindu astrology and
western astrology than just the zodiac. For example, Hindu astrologers do not
use Uranus, Neptun and Pluto, while they place a large importance on the
Moon's nodes (calling them Rahu and Ketu and treating them like planets).

Bedeutet das: +/- 10°, also insgesamt 20° ?
Oder +/- 5°, also in Summe 10° ?
