Hallo und schönen guten Tag,
auch von mir erst mal ein dickes Kompliment, auch ich surfe ziemlich oft seit
ich astrodienst entdeckt habe. Nun habe ich vor zwei Monaten eine
psychologische Persönlichkeitsanalyse als auch die langzeitperspektiven von
Liz Greene bekommen. Es kommt vor, das bei den Langzeitperspekiven für ein
und denselben Zeitraum sowohl eine sehr schwierige als auch eine sehr
harmonische angezeigt wird. Natürlich hängt vieles von mir ab, welcher Weg
nun eingeschlagen wird, aber ist es auch möglich in der Astrologie
festzustellen, welcher Aspekt nun wahrscheinlicher ist? Ich hoffe, sie
verstehen was ich meine.

same outer planet aspects again. I wonder how I got through last year and
now wonder if I can go through that again. Are there other influences that

und Berufung bestellt und prompt sehr schnell erhalten. Vielen Dank!
Ich möchte in diesem Zusammenhang nur auf einen kleinen Schreibfehler darauf
hinweisen, der Ihnen vielleicht entgangen ist: Ganz unten steht die
Aufforderung, anzugeben wie die / der Beschenkte den Gutschein einlöst. Und
da steht: Zutreffendes bitte unterschreichen. Es sollte ja unterstreichen
lauten. Vielleicht haben Sie ja mal Zeit, den klitzekleinen Schnitzer zu
korrigieren. Es macht bei all der wirklich lobenswerten Professionalität
(Gott sei Dank - in diesem Bereich gibt's genug Scharlatanerei) von
Astrodienst einfach einen etwas besseren Eindruck, wenn's auch dort - stimmt.
Ansonsten finde ich den Gutschein ansprechend ausgestaltet.
Übrigens habe ich Sie schon vor einigen Jahren mal darauf hingewiesen, dass
ein solcher Gutschein wirklich eine gute Idee wäre, da ich oftmals Horoskope
verschenken wollte, aber meinen FreundInnen mit der Forderung nach
Herausrücken ihrer Geburtsdaten nicht zu nahe treten wollte. Damals gab es
den Gutschein noch nicht, wohlgemerkt. Darf ich jetzt so stolz sein, zu
behaupten den Astrodienst auf diese tolle Geschenkidee gestossen zu haben? -
Hahaha, ich meine das ja nur sehr wohlwollend. Ich LIEBE ihr Angebot und
versurfe mehrere Stunden pro Woche darin. Jaja, und damit nicht nur ich,
sondern auch Sie mal wieder von ihrer Arbeit profitieren, habe ich ja jetzt
mal wieder einen Geschenkgutschein bestellt. Demnächst leiste ich mir mal
wieder was für mich persönlich, denke ich.

well as the hospital note I was born during Central Standard Time, yet , my
research shows Chicago was in Daylight Savings Time on June 13, 1957. Can you

I am a bit confused...
I have just now noticed that an inconjunct between my natal Venus and Moon
(and N. Node as well) does not show in all the chart drawings. The surprising
thing is that it appears in the Classical, Mertz, Quinta essential,
Calenderara, Studar, Keller, Xylander, Huber charts, but does not in Liz
Green's, who uses broader orbs than many astrologers. The most surprising
thing is that according to Astrodienst style (which uses quite wider orbs as
well as far as I know), the Inconjunct shows (though not every time) in the
table below the chart, but not in the chart drawing itself! The degree of
the aspect as it shows in the tables is 2S.
Could you clarify this?

Apparently, I will soon be part of a very positive astrological period.During
this period the planets Mars, Saturn and the Moon will enter into my
configuration simultaneously and will exert a very beneficial and intense
influence upon me and will create an astral event which will not repeat
itself for quite some time to come. These planets will aproach the position
in which they were in at the precise time of my birth (Mars: 200degrees 47',
Saturn: 18degrees 44'51.2559 and the Moon: 183degrees 47'54.0663) it will
last for 56 days, but there are 4 days which are important. how can i find
out when these 4 days will be? or the 56 for that matter? Thanks, Seb :)

Hi, I am writing ths e-mail in reference to the section on parental influence
in a person's chart. I was so impressed with the descriptions of my parents
and their influence in my young and adult life that I have just ordered
another Psychological Horoscope for my daughter who lives in France. I
discussed my chart with her and how accurately my parents were described
there. My question is How and what do you look at in a chart to ascertain the
type of parents and their relationship to the child? I was really stunned by
the total accuracy of the descriptions in that section. I wondered how with
just my birth chart information you could go into depth describing my parents
and how they were, with complete accuracy. My daughter said she will now
order the same report for her son, to gain needed insight into how he is

Is that right? MY birthday is 12/30/1974. I just turned 29. does my golden

Hi, I am writing to commend your team at Astrodienst for the marvelous chart
I received on 1/23/04. I had a Psychological Horoscope done that was the most
insightful and illuminating chart I have ever had done. It is extremely
helpful to myself in charting my life progress in the areas of emotional,
mental, spiritual and career. Every aspect charted was spot on accurate with
the inner insights resonating with my own introspections of my life to date.
I am 62 years old and have experienced much that I could compare and analyze
with the helpful insights in the chart. The area explaiing how the parents of
a person influence the child, thus the adult were remarkable with their
clarity and accuracy in my case. Both my parents and their influence upon
myself was described as if the author actually knew them personally. I came
to understand how I had been affected by their influence and through the
years have been able to successfully chart my own course in life becoming my
own unique person. This family aspect of a chart is of immense importance to
all people, trying to understand how and why they think and behave the way
that they do. Thank you for this useful tool of insight that I am sure is a

share with you in the hope that you will find them interesting, if just an
exercise in interpretation or discussion in your training or personal
studies. Of course I know that every single person's chart is interesting,
but these have tested our Astrological discussion group for some time now, so
I thought you may like to see what you think too. Of course this is just an
exercise in interpretation for your use, or at least that's what I meant it
to be!

(cave paintings, artifacts depicting the planets, etc) and where? (Any

Mi pregunta es la siguiente: Nací en Buenos Aires. el 14.05.1963 y en
Argentina mi ascendente es Libra. Vivo en Brühl, Alemania, y haciendo un
horoscopo de relocación, mi ascendente es Escorpio y varios planetas cambian
su posición en las casas. Significa eso que debo considerar como actual mi
carta natal de Argentina o la de relocación. Es decir, los transitos cambian?
Encargué varios horoscopos a traves de vuestra página , todos considerando mi
ascendente en Lbra a pesar de vivir en Alemania. Es eso correcto?

Alois adds: Yes, Chiron's role in the chart is included in a limited way.
When we developed the Psychological Horoscope originally, in 1985/86, Liz Greene
did not yet use Chiron regularily in chart readings. But in later years,
Liz started including it in her work. When we developed new types of
chart readings, e.g. the Relationship Horoscope, Child's Horoscope, Yearly
Horoscope analysis and finally the Career and Vocation horoscope, Chiron had
begun to play an important role in Liz' readings.
Because all of these reports are intervoven, i.e. use some common
pattern analysis to identify relevant issues in the natal chart, we had to
reintroduce "Chiron Logic" also into the earlier work. Had we not done this,
a new report, e.g. Career and Vocation, might be based on a character type analyis differing from the
analysis in Psychological Horoscope, giving an inconsistent picture.
But no new, Chiron-related text was written for the Psychological Horoscope.
Its position is included and considered when certain patterns in the chart
are looked for, so than "it counts", but the textual descriptions belonging
to these patterns have no direct references to Chiron.
This is not noticeable, really, because most of our reports are 100% free of
astrological terminology anyway. The psychological issues are discussed,
not the 'horoscope factors'.
It is so wonderful to find such intrigueing information in one location! I
am so impressed with the wealth of knowledge I was able to find on this
website. I encourage anyone seeking knowlege in astrology and horoscope to
challenge themselves to the information made available to them on
Astrodienst. I find myself always drawn to this website and finding new
information everytime, Thank you so much and keep up the great work! KC.

i am curious - i've been studying my chart for many years, and have to my
amazement just noticed that my chart wheel on this site shows my moon in the
eleventh house. every other placidus chart i've had drawn up showed my moon
in the twelfth house - it's only a slight difference in degree numbers, but a
big difference in reading! any clue why the chart here is different than the
others?

Alois adds: Your Moon is at 19°46' Libra. Your 12th house cusp is at
19°50' Libra. This difference of 4 arc minutes in the house cusp corresponds
to a change in birth time of 20 time seconds. If you correct your birth time
to 02:42:40, you get the Moon into the 12th house.
Anyway, a planet as close to the end of a house as this one will always
be interpreted in the chart reading as belonging to the 'new' house, the one
it is just entering.
Probably tiny imprecisions in the calculation of the 'others' lead to the
difference. Also the precise location within your birth town is relevant
here. A shift of 3 miles east makes the same effect as a time
shift by 20 seconds.
But it is futile to aim for higher precision in
pinning your birth location, if the birth time is not known with the precise
second. Even if someone had looked at an exact watch, the definition
of the birth moment by the second is also tricky. Many astrologers claim that the first breath
is the valid factor, others consider the exit of the child's head.

Meine Frage nun an Euch:
(m)eine bekannte Astrologin empfehlte mir nach ziemlich genauer Auswertung
meiner (in ziemlich allen Bereichen eher traurig verlaufenden) Vergangenheit
dringenst, an meinem Geburtstag für Paar Tage nach Schottland zu verreisen -
nach Eddingburgh: die Konstelation zw. Häuser und Planeten zu Sonne usw.
würde sich dann positiv auf mich auswirken, bzw. etwas korrigiert... (ich bin
in K am ... Ortszeit geboren ) Stimmt das?
(etwas perplex machte mich -einen Technokraten- diese Empfehlung schon!)
Aber auch die Auswertung Eurer ASTRO-Reise-Site zeigte, dass es westlich
dieser Kraft-Linie besserer Einflüsse gäbe....

I am interested in knowing how you calculate the pars fortunae. In the past
it has been calculated at 12 degrees capricorn but you calculate it at 19
degrees pisces. Thank you for providing such a wonderful resource!

In Extended Chart Selection, there is an option field "always use day formula for Pars Fortunae (standard is: different formula day/night) " to select which
technique for Pars Fortunae you prefer.

alt.astrology.mod -- but I don't understand how it works. Could I post a link
to a chart I have created from my own account and yet someone else access
this chart, even if I might be logged off? Or is there some better way of

Alois adds: Better not publish links to personal charts stored on our server.
You should download the chart image (rightclick on it, use: save as.. with
some self-chosen GIF filename). Then you can publish this gif image at any
webspace of your choice.
If you have no such option and feel you want to publish a link to a chart
or report directly on our server, make sure it is from a registered profile with 'high security' activated.
Where can I go to find out the exact time in Saigon, Vietnam in 1966? It is
marked as unknown on Astrodienst, either 7he or 8he when I tried to put in
the birthtime in that year to look at a chart. Is it possible to find out
the exact time in 1966, or not, I do not want to speculate and make guesses.

Alois adds: I think only local astrologers in Vietnam can resolve that.
We have two contradicting sources, one is the american standard reference
by Thomas Shanks, also used by the 'tzdata' reference.
The other is the excellent French book by Gabriel. Because these two
sources diverge for a long patch of Vietnam history, we have marked our
database information as 'timezone uncertain' for long periods.
How do I get a chart for the date:
Feb. 2. 3102 B.C.?
It always comes up as -3102 Jul.
Any help out there?

I got one question. What I wonder is. Day save time in sweden did´nt occur
until 1983 or 1984. Dont know when. Since Im born 1980 I wonder. Do you take

wonder how reliable it is. My sun is 3 degrees Capricorn, 12:20pm. The
estimate charts always give Taurus rising, but I have to make my birth time
1:20 to get Taurus. By making my BT 12:04pm I get 29degrees Pisces rising.
This still leaves Aries in the 1st house and all other placements the same as
for Aries rising, except two, which under Aries are simply house 4 and house
10, but with Pisces rising become house 4/5 and 10/11. I dont want to
manipulate my chart or avoid the truth about myself. But it's hard to see
myself as a me-first, competitive, doer, when I'm not athletic and I dislike
competition(except against myself) because it seems to lead more to discord
than harmony, and instead of the great accomplishments of an Aries ascendant,
I stay in the house over-analyzing things, and trying to figure out what
makes everything tick. All three, Aries, Taurus and Pisces have traits that
seem very right for me, and others that seem quite wrong. I want to order a
chart and profile(s), but I can't resolve the ascendant dilemma. It seems
that the person one appears to be will change with the circumstances. Also,
I do have the moon in Pisces in the 12th house, so Aries and Pisces, in any
case, are represented in my chart. This whole thing makes me feel like a
raging narcissist. Did I mention I'm getting seriously old? So I don't have
a lot of time to get this figured out, and start doing something worthwhile.

Alois adds: An interesting projection. The drawings are black ink drawings
and collages, and sometimes there are elements in them which seem to work like the
Rorschach ink blot test - you can project into them what your unconscious wants
to see.
Some visitors have reported wild erotic scenes in those ink blots, and
now the devil herself.
Via 'my astro' -> View/edit preferences and subscriptions, you can turn the
illustrations in the daily horoscope off, if you prefer to prevent such
unwelcome visions.
PS: Better make sure you never lie down in the grass in summer, and look up into the clouds. You might even discover evil daemons up in the heavens.
As a regular visitor to your site I noticed that despite what appears to be a
conjunction in my chart between the moon and jupiter I have not seen it
mentioned in my personal horoscope. Because it seems as if this would be a
positive aspect I am very interested in finding out what the effects might
be.

book on transits. However, you don't treat the quincunx formed by transits in
either source, and I seem to be somewhat affected by them. Perhaps this is
because there is a double quincunx in my birth chart (which may or may not

This is to request your review of VIP data which indicates what appears to
be an error.
The V IP data shown for MARTIN LUTHER KING (birthdate: January 15, 1929,
time: 12:00 noon in Atlanta Georgia) indicates an Ascendant of 13 degrees
Taurus. There is also a VIP listing for a MARTIN KING - terrorist whose
birthchart indicates an Aries Ascendant, but whose birthdate and time and
place listed are identical to those for Martin Luther King, Junior. One of
the two must be miscalculated.
As this is Martin Luther King, Junior's birthday, I found myself
printing out his chart to analyze a bit. Just for fun, I clicked on VIP
Twins, and saw the listing for another King described as a terrorist. I
expected to learn something about how the Ascendant impacts a chart, but then
I noticed that the exact time and place were listed for both men. I thought
you would like this disparity brought to your attention for review.

an der Quelle ist meist sinvoller und zuverlässiger.

es lieferbar ist. Wenn Sie dann auf den Link 'bestellen' klicken, so erscheint
auf der nächsten Seite eine Option zur Auswahl der Sprache. Bei jedem Horoskop
sind dort die jeweils verfügbaren Sprachen auswählbar. Darüber hinaus
gibt es keine; es ist nicht so, dass wir die Verfügbarkeit von weiteren Sprachen
vor unseren Kunden geheim halten würden, und erst auf Anfrage bekannt geben.
Auf Ungarisch gibt es derzeit nur das Psychologische Horoskop. Weitere
ungarische Uebersetzungen sind im Moment nicht geplant. Wenn aber jemand
500 Stück bestellen und vorausbezahlen würde, so nehmen wir gerne die
Uebersetzung auch von 'Beruf und Berufung' in Angriff.

billion times before--what is the difference between the corrected and
uncorrected versions of the Davison Relationship Charts under the Extended
Chart Selection option? I compared a few charts using both, and while one
set had only a few seconds of difference, a few others had as much as 20
minutes difference, using the ASC as an indicator--so what's the 'true'
difference between the two versions?

Ich habe vor einiger Zeit ein Psychologisches Horoskop geschenkt bekommen.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit da es mich in manchen Bereichen geradezu
entlarvt. Aber gereade das ist auch der Punkt welcher mich ein wenig traurig
macht da es Bereiche in diesem Horoskop gibt die ich nicht verstehen
kann.
Wenigstens die hälfte hat mit Vater und Mutter in so enger Bindung zu tun das
es mir als Halbwaise unmöglich erscheint diese besagten Bereiche zu
verstehen. Vielleicht habt Ihr eine Idee welche Teile meiner damals
kindlichen Umwelt ich für meine früh verstorbene Mutter bzw. den nicht
vorhandenen Vater einsetzen könnte?

is usually granted by the IAU (international astronomical union) to the
discoverer. Either discover an asteroid yourself, or get one of the
discoverers to do you a special favour. Most of them are 'hard core' astronomers
and have not much time for karmic astrologers, I am afraid.

not have enough experience with Chiron to include it, or wrote the text before
Chiron was discovered.
In my FORECAST on this site, I have a transit of Saturn conjuncting Jupiter
that reads, Jan. 1, 2004 to Jan 1, 2004. Is this correct? I am assuming it

Robert Hand. I would like to order a report but not sure which one will be
the best choice for me. I see there are the Transits of the Year, the
AstroText yearly forecast and the calender.
I understand the AstroText is a shorter report and it was written during the
70's. Could you tell more about the Transits of the Year report and when it
was written, and if the calender is based on the text in either reports, or
is it an altogether different script?
If this question was answered before in the feedback could you refer me to

Dear Astro.com - this is by far the best site. i wonder if i might be so
cheeky and ask for a solution to an astrological problem? A year ago i left
my boyfriend after 15 years. Since then i have met several potential partners
(mostly much younger for some reason). I was attracted to one in particular
(john) but although he was attracted to me he admitted he was too 'scared' to
see me. this seems to be a repeating pattern with all the men i have met.
saturn (in my fifth house) is currently square venus (and has been for some
time) is this the reason for all the false starts? To save disappointment
should i just forget about meeting someone until this transition passes or is
it trying to teach me a lesson that i'm failing to see at the moment?

Also, I like the advertising. I do not rely on reading minds, or trying to
surmise something wonderful you do not officially state that you are offering
for a price. So it's commercial, but it's not as commercial as coca-cola.
And I'm grateful for the whole site...I think it's Grand the way it is.

I recently ordered two reports, Horoscope 2004-2009, for my husband and me. I
just noticed that the reports share certain paragraphs they are not similar,
but identical. Is it common?

progression during that period, they will get a similar or even identical
description for that event.
The Long-Term Horoscope, which you refer to,
contains also sections which describe developments of paricular age groups,
which share common *generation aspects" in their natal charts. If you and
your husband belong to the same age group, these sections will probably be
identical in your reports.

Astrodienst is, simply put, the best provider of astrological services in the
world as far as I know, anyway. I especially appreciate your free services.
I do have one misgiving, however. This is about your use of those pat little
advertisements and commentaries on your web page. I realise you are a
business concern and have to generate sales, but surely you can afford to let
the quality of your products speak for themselves without resorting to the
kind of mass marketing gimmicks that symbolise our superficial consummerist
age?
Advertising is basically about emotional manipulation. By pre-packaging
feelings and emotions it effectively sterilises them. This in turn corrupts
our collective consciousness and soul. The whole process is insidious and in
my opinion out of character with an organisation such as Astrodienst, one of
whose primary objectives has to be promoting evolution rather than entropy
which is what advertising is about.

I appreciate that you make the charts of famous people available. However,
you have only two people on your current list (Dalai Lama and Elizabeth
Kubler Ross) who are not products of Hollywood. It would be useful to have
more charts of people who have worked outside the machinery of Hollywood for
the rest of the world to connect with. There is a lot of meaning to lives
other than fame on this level.

Even to most of those who became successful in the film industry you are
injust, because the worked hard for their careers before they became
successful. To call them 'products' is more than unfair. They are human
people, after all.
I have just received the two reports I ordered - the career and vocation one
from Liz Greene and the transits for the year. I meant to order transits for
the year for the coming year 2004, indeed I thought that was what I had
ordered, but it is for 2003 which has already passed. I'd really like th
2004 report but I'd rather not pay the full price for it, can we come to any
sort of compromise on this? Please advise, thank you

I just wanted to comment on this website. I have searched and searched for a
webpage that would give me the information I needed, with no sucess....until
now!!! I absolutely LOVE ASTRODIENST....and I know I will be using it
