Alois, I think you mentioned some time ago which method you use to progress
chart angles, but I didn't take note of it at the time, and now I can't
remember. I've just noticed that when I do progressed charts on your site
the ascendant differs by a few degrees to the ascendant in charts I do myself
with Solar Fire. Yours would appear to be more accurate! Accordingly, I'd
like to change the settings I have on Solar Fire, but I don't know what to
change them to. Would you mind saying again which method of progression you
use? Thank you very much.

Alois adds: We do nothing different then what is the common standard in astrology, as far as I know. We progress sidereal time (RAMC) by the daily sidereal
time progress, i.e. 3m56s, for each progressed year. From the progressed
RAMC the house cusps and angles are computed as normal.
Dear Alois,
Thanks for the great info.
Part of Fortune in Aries my 3rd house
I have question regarding my Pars of Fortune in relation to the aspects and
how they effect it.
Neptune in retrograde in opposition in my 9th house Libra
Moon in Sag in my 11 house trine pars of fortune
Mercury sextile in my 1st house of Aquarius
It trines Pluto and vertex which are conjunct in my 8th house of Leo
Thanks if you have the time

First may I thank you for such a wonderful site! I'm completely hooked!
:)
I was born in Melbourne on the east coast of Australia, but now reside in
Perth (west coast). Does this greatly affect my readings? Are the forecasts
only for when I'm in Melbourne, or should I be changing the settings somehow
to allow for my change of address??
Although I've been interested in basic Astrology for many years, I'm a little
new to these more detailed readings. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks for your assistance!

Alois adds: Please go to the daily horoscope page, scroll to the bottom and
click on the link 'change reference place'. Then, please read the lengthy explanation which appears. If you want the timezone which is used for expressing the
timing of the daily transits to be changed to western australian time, please
change your reference place to Perth.
Besides of that little change, which is just for convenience, your move to Perth does not change your natal horoscope. You take it with you wherever you go.
To Rhys from Brisbane: I don't know how familiar you are with calculations,
but tables of houses are prepared for the northern hemisphere. In the
southern hemisphere the Sun's path is different, so the Midheaven is North
instead of South. One can follow the same procedure with calculations, but
should add 12 hours to the end result and then reverse the signs. As this may
sound a little complicated, you should rather rely to Astrodienst
calculations than the local astrologer's.

Hi, Firstly, astrodienst is the most organised and informative astrology
site I have encountered .. congrats. One query, I had my chart done by a
local astrologer, and the ascendant calculated here in Brisbane was the
complete opposite to that on my online chart. Pisces and Virgo make for
rather contradictory chart interpretations. Could someone let me know what
is the appropriate calculation process is for ascendants in the Southern
Hemisphere, if there is a difference?

Alois adds: The point of the ecliptic rising in the east at any given moment
and given location is a fact
of nature. There is no room for opinion, it can only be computed right or
wrong. We do it right.
Check the placement of the Sun in the chart, it must be sensibly placed
relative to the horizon for the given time of day. For a day birth, the Sun
must be above the horizon.

I am keen to have my chart done - in particular for my career. My problem is
that when I was born in London 22 June 1958 it was not obligatory to have
time of birth recorded I have a copy of my birth certificate and there is no
time recorded. My mother cannot remember - however, she showed me a letter
she wrote at 9am 22/6 telling her parents of my birth but no mention of time
sadly so I must have been born between 12 midnight and some time before 9am -
any suggestions? kind regards, Annabel

London, UK --- Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 15:47 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: You are lucky that your mother is alive. You can assume that somewhere inside her the memory of your birth with many details will be recorded.
The procedure to get to that memory is important.
If you push your mother, she might get into a state of denial, and stiffen
on her reply 'I don't remember'.
Try to take yourself a full day in a quiet atmosphere with your mother. Proceed, with her agreement and cooperation, to re-live the day of your birth, slowly,
step by step, starting with the late phase of her pregnancy, the onset of labour or other first signs of the coming delivery.
If you make a serious, sympathetic effort to re-awaken the memory of your mother, you have a good chance to reduce the uncertainty of your birth time to less than 30 minutes. This will be a good start for doing your chart properly.
Careful research of the actual memories of your mother is MUCH MORE important and reliable than any attempts by astrologers to derive your birth time by
astrological means (correction of the chart). Once you have the time within
30 or 60 minutes, you might try to refine it by such techniques, but not when
the uncertainty is plus/minus 4.5 hours.
Sunrise on your birthday was at 4.51 am, and it gets light already about
half an hour before sunrise. You might be able to find out whether it was still
dark or not, e.g. if your mother remembers that labour was going on while
it became day. Make the effort! It is worth it. Don't order any of our reports
before you have a reliable birth time. It would be a waste.
To Helena from Bulgaria:
This is an interesting aspect you have, Helena, but does not stand alone and
cannot be interpreted alone. Tracy Marks' book Planetary Aspects is a very
valuable book on aspects, with much emphasis on T-squares.

Some months back there was considerable interest expressed by various
visitors to this site in the birth data of Osama bin Laden. For the benefit
of anyone who doesn't get ISAR's email newsletter, in it we were just
informed that according to Karen Hamaker-Zondag, Bin Laden's hospital birth
record gives his birth data as March 10, 1957, at 10:58 AM, in Jiddah, Saudi
Arabia. Well, if true, this certainly does demonstrate that Alois was right
in cautioning me against speculating on people's charts when I just didn't
have the facts I could not have been more wrong. I know Karen
Hamaker-Zondag is a respected astrologer, and if her finding is being
reported by ISAR I assume what she says can be accepted as true. I do wish,
however, that there was a photo or something of the hospital record in
question.

they are less important?
I am very curious about this. (Esp.as I think mine looks very intersting for

And as you don´t - can you tell what is the most significant thing to look
for in a solar return horscope? Placement of sun, houses, or other

Alois writes to Sarah Watson on 25/07/02: Your perspective is wrong. You are
confusing SIGNS and CONSTELLATIONS. Please do your homework (more reading,
less talking) first.
First of all to Sarah Watson: If you want your sidereal chart done it is
possible on this same site choosing the Extended Chart Selection and
selecting the Hindu/Lahiri geocentric (sidereal) zodiac chart.
Sarah Watson and Alois are both right when they say that
tropical/western/modern astrologers do not use the real position of the
planets in the constellations as a reference anymore, and are still using as
a frame of reference the positions they had 2000 years ago (a slight change
of 1 degree per 72 years, so after 2000 years a huge difference of 24
degrees! almost a whole sign!)
Ptolemee (as all greek wisdom) learned astrology from the egyptians but had
no idea of the precession. Later Greek philosophers discovered the
discrepancy yet less than 2000 years ago the discrepancy ( of only a few
degrees) was not of great importance. But after 2000 years it is (24
degrees)!
I have wrote feedback about this and many others in the past three years yet
the answers are always vague and the tone always sarcastic and very
protective of tropical astrology.
Eastern astrologers (Hindu and arabic systems) have never used the tropical
system because it is a western error, eastern astrology is a very profound
science and is of very old tradition, yet western astrology is comparatively
new.
I encourage anyone who really is interested in astrology to compare both
systems before any judgement is made.
When Alois says that tropical astrologers do not follow the heavenly spheres
in their exact positions anymore, doesnt that say anything? Isnt astrology
all about that? Wasnt it created with the heavenly spheres and constellations
as a reference frame or was it just an abstract concept made up by some
peoples imagination? I do not believe it is an abstract concept separated
from the stars and i believe that somebody who believes that has very little
respect for the wonderful science that our ancestors have studied for
thousands of years.
So I answer back to you Alois, the all knowing astrologer who critices people
instead of creating a greater understanding of astrology:
PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK
- MORE READING
- LESS CYNICISM
by the way your site is great and helped me learn a lot about the symbolism
of the signs, and the charts are an awesome learning experience, if one day
all the interactive drawings options could be used with both tropical and
sidereal charts it would be in my opinion the greatest astrology site on the
web!
im open to feedback, anybody write to me! ciao!

I've always been interested in astronomy, I start studying astrophysics at
Uni in September. One thing that's been puzzling me for a while is the fact
that astrologers seem to ignore 'precession'
The earth's axis 'wobbles' slowly in space, a by-product of this wobble is
that the stars appear to rotate around the earth, completing a full rotation
in about 26,000 yrs - This rotation is in addition to the daily yearly
rotations that everyone knows about, and is called 'precession'.
The constellations used in astrology today were 'set out' and named by
ptolemy, about 2000 years ago. Since then the stars have rotated 2000/26000
or about 1/13th the way round. 1/13th of a year is about 28 days therefore,
by now the zodiac should be 28 days (almost a full sun sign) out of line.
I used your free chart section to find out which signs the planets etc were
in when I was born. The results :-
Sun - Scorp
Moon - Leo
Merc - Scorp
Ven - Virgo
Mars - Virgo
Jup - Saggi
Sat - Scorp
Uran - Saggi
Nept - Saggi
Plut - Libra
Then I checked with a proper star chart (Skymap pro) Guess where they
ACTUALLY were when I was born ?
Sun - Libra
Moon - Cancer
Merc - Libra
Venus - Leo
Mars - Leo
Jup - Scorp
Sat - Libra
Uran - Scorp
Nep - Scorp
Plut - Virgo
Yep! ALL in the previous sign.
How can something that has it's whole basis so wrong possibly be valid?

Alois adds: Your perspective is wrong. You are confusing SIGNS and CONSTELLATIONS. Please do your homework (more reading, less talking) first.
Western astrology CONSIDERS precession.
Astrology does not use fixed star constellations, but sections of the ecliptic
starting at the vernal equinox. Its coordinate frame is the tropical ecliptic, not
the fixed stars. These sections, measuring 30° each, are called signs
of the zodiac. 2000 years ago these ecliptic sections roughly COINCIDED with fixed star
constellations located in approximately the same regions of the celestial
sphere, and therefore those
constellations and the ecliptic sections received the same names.
Now they still carry the same names, but due to precession they do not coincide
anymore on the celestial sphere.
Please read more in
this article: Precession and Zodiac on our website. It would have been easy to find under
Homepage->Understanding astrology->Advanced astrology articles if you had made a reasonable effort to study thw subject.
Everyone seriously interested in astronomy and astrology knows the difference
between the tropical coordinate system and the sidereal reference frame.
Celestial mechanics usually uses a tropical reference frame.
It might be a good idea to read the information provided on our site before
making the effort of declaring us (and astrology in general) ignorant.
PS: Astrophysics is concerned with the physical processes in the cosmos
(e.g. cosmic rays, how stars form and die etc). It is NOT concerned with
celestial coordinates or the mechanics of the solar system's movements. You
might want to study CELESTIAL MECHANICS if you want to understand the
movements of the planets, another sub-discipline of astronomy. With astrophysics
you will be on the wrong track for that.

Hi Alois. I have been interested in astrology for as long as i can remember
and have particuarly loved Liz Greene's work. I have always found my chart to
be accurate and enjoyed exploring others charts as well as composite charts.
However, I recently read a book by Walter Berg which suggested that there
were 13 signs and that astronomically the planets had moved on in the last
2000 years. Astronomy and astrology were once said to work together and I'm
interested to know what you think about his new revelation. My 'new' sign did
seem accurate and I now find myself somewhat confused. Any feedback would be
greatly appreciated.
Brilliant site by the way - by far the best I've found.

Alois adds: there are more than 12 fiexed star constellations which touch the
ecliptic, but this is not relevant for astrology, which uses zodiacal signs
of 30 degrees as a reference system, starting from the spring equinox.

Dear Alois,
I am a bit confused with the method of finding your Ascendant. I know how
it's down but I have a few questions. For example, if someone is born on June
7 5:36a.m., their Sun would be placed in the first house of image making
their Ascendant Gemini.
Another example could be someone born on February 28 5:36a.m. placing their
Sun which I think would be under the first house of image making their
Ascendant Pisces, but according to www.astro.com, their ascendant is
Aquarius. Do you have any idea why?
Also, someone again born on February 28 3:05a.m. would have their Sun sign
under the second house of wealth making their Ascendant what I think would be
Aquarius when www.astro.com says Sagittarius. Again could you please help me
out with this problem?
One last thing is that I once read that if someone is born near the end of a
time cycle you might need to place their Sun Sign in the following house. For
example, someone born on November 14 11:59p.m. would be placed under the
fourth house of Home making their Ascendant Leo. I was wondering though that
according to what I read if their Sun Sign would be placed under the third
house of travel making their Ascendant Virgo. According to www.astro.com,
their Ascendant would be Leo. I was wondering if this effect only happens
some of the time, or if it should happen all the time or not at all.
Please help me and Thank You very much.

Oakville, Canada --- Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at 23:24 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: The degree of teh Ascendant is an astronomical fact. To compute
it, you need to intersect the circle of the ecliptic with the circle of the
horizon, for the given time and location. All you need to do is the correct spherical trigonometry. Believe me,
we know how to do that.
Please understand that I do not want to put down common sense arguments
in general. It can be very useful to use
common sense arguments like the placement of the Sun in a chart. But you need
good information about local sunrise times for various dates in the year, and
good information about timezone and daylight saving time history for the location you refer too. Without that, you will easily go wrong when you try to argue
with the placement of the Sun.
to Laura Hynds:
I'm a total amateur, but it seems that the equal house system better serves
charts for people north of 55 degrees latitude, according to info on lois
rodden's astro data bank. (Otherwise, you get lots of intercepted signs, +
planets compressed into tiny houses - this is my problem too, i'm in
ontario). There appears to be a lot of debate with regards to house systems.
I've heard that equal is best for vocational, that Koch + Reg are most
accurate with regards to horary stuff, and also that the house system you
choose to use to interpret your chart really doesn't matter scientifically,
that it's a question of 1) planet relationships (aspects, patterns, planets
in signs) and 2) the frame of reference and meaning that you, particularly,
intuitively connect with. Which makes sense, given that all scientific (and
other) knowledge is paradigmatic and historical.
Which doesn't much help, if you're really stuck and trying to figure
something out.
Personally, I've got major career questions, which would seem to require a
more firm sense of house placement. So I don't really know- but I think
getting bogged down in technicalities can be too confusing for a
non-professional.
I guess the pros have a holistic, personal sensibility about this stuff, that
we're trying to just grasp at.
Good luck

To Akari from Philadelphia: Considering the Sun-Moon cycle starts when both
luminaries are at the same degree, New Moon phase is from this point until
the Moon has travelled 45 degrees away from the Sun, Crescent Moon when 45 to
90 degrees away, First Quarter when 90 to 135 degrees away, Gibbous when 135
to 180 degrees, Full Moon when 180 to 225 degrees away, Disseminating when
225 to 270 degrees away, Last Quarter from 270 to 315 away, Balsamic Moon
when 315 degrees away until it meets the Sun again at a New Moon.

I think thath this is the best personal daily Horoscope of the world. And it
is online. And it is very often true. And the online version is very
generous. Great.
You even sell books , don t you ?. But you don t have big succsess with it,
do you ? What do you think about e books ? like www.ebooks.com or
www.shortbooks.de . I would love to buy Robert Hands Horoskopsymbole as
ebook. Or Ebertins or Greenes or other spirituatl bestsellers online. What do
you think about it ? Is that again a matter of C and pearl or can one do that
with java too ?
strange I read the strong energies in this daily horoscope, I think, rubbish,
that wont happen, and exactly this happens , not only in my life but also in
the life of my freinds....strange

Hi Donna,
I have a wealth of information regarding the Lunar Nodes. Email me and I will
send you the URL's. The Lunar nodes are great insight in regard to
Relationships and career choices. The south node represents what talents you
innately have in coming into this world. You strive to use these talents as
you move forward to your destiny, the North Node, the opposite pole. The
North Node in someone's chart is their new frontier or should I an adventure
to follow one's path. The North Node is uncomfortable until you start walking
it.

I don't like the fact that once you have entered the natal information you
are locked out from changing it. Sometimes I like to check out information
other than my own and sometimes I don't have the exact time of birth. In
trying to locate a center for the personality it takes a little work but your
system locks the seeker out.
I liked it MUCH better when you had the wheel that would illuminate when you

I loved the relationship horoscope that I ordered from Liz Greene a few
months ago, Everytime I read it, almost every day, I understand with greate
clarity, the dynamics of my present relationship.
Having said that, I feel there is room for improvement in the area regarding
the commentary and the ages of the partners in the relationship. I feel that
the comments should be geared more specifically towards the time of life that
the partners find themselves in. Saying things like, you might like to start
a family to people who are clearly biologicaly( at least the woman) unable to
reproduce makes one wish that the commentary were more relevant to the life
cycles of the partners in question. This is the only area in which I think the
report needs fine tuning.

Hello Tiffany,
I read your request for a teacher in astrology. I have been studying
astrology since I had been 14 and that was 2o years ago, give or take a few
years. First of all, this website is a good place to start by just be
reading your daily astro and forecast and where your planets and houses are
located. First, I learned the signs, your moon, and ascendent and moved on to
the houses. Secondly, study the elements and the fixed, mutable, and cardinal
signs. Study the planets and what they mean in relation to the houses. This
in itself, has been tricky becuase you can become stuck on one aspect, when
you need to see whole and how all the different aspects, such as trines, go
together. After this, you could move on to your North Node. There are a lot
of websites describing your North Node. Hopefully, this will help. I live in
NC. Just go a step at a time and do everyone you know their astro and please
request there time of birth. This is critical for the houses. After this you
can email me for more help if you like. There is a printable emphremis on
this site but studying transits should come at a later date.

You all have created an absolutely wonderful site. I read my daily horoscope
every day and your free charts have quenched my thirsty curiosity of
astrology beyond sun signs. I am especially interested in the pschology
behind astrology. I obsessively analyze my own chart and the charts of my
friends and my family, searching for clues that helps me better understand
their behavior and the emotional trials we all must face. However, I have
two questions that I simply cannot find a satisfactory answer to. First, what
really is my rising sign? This site says I am a Scorpio rising, while other
sites insist I am a Sagittarius rising. I was born 8:38 a.m. November 2,
1980 in Wheeling West Virginia, in the United States. In my chart, my rising
sign falls right on the line between Scorpio and Sagittarius, which is a
cusp, I believe. However I also have Mars in the first house, along with my
Mars being in Sagittarius. My sun is also in the 12th house, with my sun
sign being Scorpio. Another question is, are all planets considered to be in
a house? For example, I have four planets in the 10th house, three of which
are all rising in Libra and one in Virgo, and my sun and Mars signs as in
above, and I have read about the importance of their placings in my chart and
on my mind. However, do my Mercury, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, and Venus
placings hold any significance in the houses they occupy in my chart
analysis? I find this quite confusing and any insight you have to offer will
be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much and thanks for the fabulous site!
This site has really taught me alot in my relentless self study of
astrology. Sincerely, Mary

To the writer who believed to be ugly I want to say: There is no concrete
definition of beautiful. There is no one who is without some beauty (even the
elephant man!). All too often we look at the glass as half empty and
concentrate on our imperfections. The air sign Libra, the position of Venus
and the sign on the cusp of your second and seventh house will tell you more
about what kind of beauty you appreciate. Being Libra doesn't mean that you
have to beautiful it might mean that you attract beauty and appreciate it. I

34 years ago, an event occurred in my life that was plutonically buried in my
psyche. 13 years ago it began to pattern my life and I chose to begin a
healing journey. Many guides, many healers, many astrologers brought me to a
point on 7/9/02 that uncovered the event, validated that astrology showed the
timing of Pluto/Chiron's uncovering influence. One healer worked tirelessly
to help, and finally allowed that, when it was time for this to heal, it
would happen. It wasn't a matter of when the student was ready the teacher
appears, it turned out to be, if you ask the right person, the right
question, on the right day, in the right place, a key will turn that will
unlock the door that the psyche closed for protection a loooooong time ago.
The moment that happened, I ran a chart here, and as usual, astrological
timing was proven again. The Key of Chiron unlocked the Door of Pluto. Thank
you so much for providing this website.

THank you very much, This helps me,

In looking at Moon Opp Saturn and a friend's astrology software says 7/8 at
9:25pm but your website says 7/9 at 5:27am.
My friends says that you do transits for where you are currently living. Is
that true? Does that mean I have to add some kind of correction?
In any case, the site is THE BEST!!! I recommend it to everyone. Keep up the

Alois adds: Thanks for you kind offer, Pablo. Qualified and volunteers are
really important at this stage of our work. Within a few months, we hope to present astro.com in six languages: Spanish, Italian and Dutch in addition to
the three you see now. Work is currently done with those three. Later, we will
follow up with Portuguese and Danish.
Our foreign language editor Karin
will contact you by email. For the free report section, where most of the translation volume needs to be done, we would need commitment
for 100-200 pages of text. But in the section 'Understanding astrology'
there are some articles of only a few pages each, which may be a good beginning.
With volunteer helpers as well as with paid translators, it is very important
that reliable deadlines are arranged and kept. For most of our material the
original language is English.
Once again I just wanted to thank you for the great job you are doing,
specially on provinding free high quality services.
I see you now have a version in French, which is great and I was wondering

Hello Alois,
Thanks for your reply to my earlier query. I'm wondering if you have any
thoughts about the charts of twins that you would like to share with feedback
readers, since you have a set yourself. Many people might be interested in
knowing how to understand this challenge, or at least have some good ideas
about it. For myself, I am content to acknowledge that the exact same chart
can manifest in a multitude of different ways depending on circumstances.
Themes will be similar, but not details. When charts differ by a few minutes
the timimg of aspects may change by months or years. Is this your opinion
also?
Wayne Turner (visiting www.astro.com)
, USA --- Monday, July 8, 2002 at 18:30 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: Hello Wayne, if your search the guestbook archive (I know, this is
not easy in its current format) you will find several occasions where I commented
on the subject. I am however not prone to discuss family details in this
public format. I get too much strange fan mail whenever I do that.
I am not sure whether you misunderstood an important point, or whether it
was not well expressed.
Many themes for twins will NOT be similar but highly
polarized between the two. A role which one has grabbed to play in this act
called 'life' is not available to another player on the same stage. He/she
will be forced to pick another role, out of the given dramatic script.
Only when at some time in life one of the pair releases such a role, it
becomes available for the other to grab. Several twins have told me stories
along these lines.
When the two choose different stages, i.e. live separated, then they can both
play the same roles without getting into each others way. Of course, some
identical twins become 'professional twins', making a job out
of being similar, in twin clubs etc. I tend to find this psychologically unhealthy. I think it is a good idea to send a pair of twins to different schools.
In Switzerland, this is usually done if the parents agree.
Few astrological techniques will allow such precise timing that you
can differentiate for births which are only minutes or seconds apart, as is
often the case of caesarean born twins in current times. For older twins which
were mostly born conventionally, this is different. For example, Anne Landers,
the famous columnist who died recently, was born 17 minutes before her twin
sister Abigail Vanburen.
You will find Anne Landers' chart and profile on our homepage, shortly.
She was an interesting person, and I actually liked her columns at the times
I lived in the US and found it in the daily paper (the West Hawaiian Today).
Hello - I was just wondering about how I can become a member. Yours is truly
the best astrological site there is.
Emily (visiting www.astro.com)

Alois adds: I am sorry, but there is no concept of "membership" at astro.com, it is just a public website you can visit as often as you like.
Many visitors choose to remain anonymous guest users, and they are welcome as such. One disadvantage of this status is that your access to stored
natal data will be lost of you ever delete the cookies on your browser, or
if you chnage computers.
If you want, you can become a registered
user, by registering at 'my astro'. This has some advantages (access to
stored data from any computer, safety against loss of cookies, higher number
of stored natal records), but does not cost
anything. You will NOT be molested with regular email if you are a registered
user. We hate spam mail, and do everything to fight it.
Finally, you can become an Astrodienst customer by ordering from our
Astro Shop. The income from the report orders allows us to run this website.
This makes you automatically a registered website user, too.
Until a short time ago, all our services in the Astro Shop were shipped as
hardcopy reports. Recently, we have added some online subscription modes, e.g.
the daily horoscope with free date choice, for paying customers.
Not more than once a year you might receive a printed mailing if you are on our customer mailing list, and do not opt out of such mailings after having received the first one.
International mailings are costly and we have reduced them considerable in
range. We
believe in the intelligence of your customers, who will come back on their
own impulse, if they liked our services and need more of them. We try to keep
our website so attractive, generous and interesting, that many vistors come back
frequently.
For example, if you drag a bookmark for your daily horoscope to your desktop,
one click on it will give you your daily fresh personal horoscope. I find this
access superior to services which email a horoscope every day. You can choose the time
you want to read it.
Your site is one of the best on the net, bar none. Thank you!

If you want to know the Sun-Moon angle at your birth, just look

Alternatively, use extended chart selection -> group Astrodienst special ->

Find the Phase of the Moon (for your birth) listed on top of this chart.

everyone who reads the horoscopes at astro.com. They are not threatening.
I am under the strong impression that you did not take the time to read
carefully. Possibly your Scorpio Sun and your Mars at the Ascendant made
it more important for you to express anger than to reflect.
The Short report Forecast shows only Jupiter transits for you. The long
term influences in the daily horoscope section discuss difficult issues
(Saturn square Pluto and Chiron square Saturn) besides more pleasant ones
(Jupiter opp. Mars).
Maybe you should take the advice expressed in the Chiron-Saturn reading:
Pause to reflect, and try talking things over with someone - you will be amazed at the amount of sympathy and understanding you encounter. Accept any offers of help - you may discover that this is not so unpleasant after all. Your current experiences will make you aware of the fallability of human nature, thus helping you to be more tolerant with yourself.

Please use the language navigation to the right in the red part of the page

languages.
In the French version, you will notice that the menu
has no item 'Feedback' - and in the Feeback area the selection 'fr' for French
is missing among the langauges.
For the moment, we have chosen to support the feedback area only in
English and German.
The reason for this is my pour French. While I still can
manage to understand
French contributions, I would be unable to reply.
Within the next few weeks, Spanish and Dutch will be added to the language

Alois adds: Astrology is knowledge, which some consider a fruit from a
forbidden tree. Some narrow-minded religious system try to control the minds
of their members. In the end, you will have to make your own choices.
As long as you depend on the family you live with, you might have to make
some compromises.
The bible is a large book, and many different things can be read out of it
and into it. I personally know priests of various Christian denominations who
practice astrology at a professional level, and one abbot from a Benedictine
monastry who does that as well. Of course, the fact that something is done
be a few priests does not make it necessarily a good thing.
Hello, thanks for the great site.I was wondering if you will ever put the
horoscope, birth charts of all the different countries. Also, would you know
where I may get such info?

Alois adds: You want to buy Nick Campion's "Book of World Horoscopes".
Please check any good bookshop, or www.amazon.com.
This
is the quote from Nick Campion's website:
If the time that events take place really does enable us to
understand them then we need an accurate collection of
horoscopes for countries. The Book of World Horoscopes
contains 476 charts, all with accurate historical references,
for every country in the world. If you?re interested in
Britain, France or Russia, Serbia or Kossovo, Rwanda,
Tibet or St Lucia, all the information is here, clearly
presented and ready for you to use. Also included are
special appendices covering subjects such as political
parties, space flight, nuclear energy, business and
economic charts, the Age of Aquarius and the discovery
of the outer planets.
The first edition of this book was published in 1987, and it
was awarded the prestigious Marc Edmund Jones Award
in 1992. This new edition is superbly produced and
attractively presented with specially designed chart wheels
on good quality paper in a hard cover.
Greetings and gratitude for such a fabulous astrocartograghy sight! I am
moving from where I have lived all my life to experience easier
geographical/astrological aspects. I have been studying astrocartography for
several months and have taken it quite seriously. I am wishing the maps you
have available were more comprehensive. For example I can not locate Fiji
and some other more obscure islands I am considering moving to and am
wondering if it's possible to include a more detailed world map. One that
shows larger water mass and subsiquent islands. When I punch in world map it
shows only north america. Please let me know if you are planning to expand
your existing maps as I will wait to make my move. I am currently planning
on moving Oct. 1 2002. I am searching for island living and relying on your
sight to provide the neccesary information I have been looking for. I have
turned several people onto your sight.
Thank you for your efforts!

Alois adds: It is really important to understand that the spatial resolution of the technique is not better than 150 miles, independent of the details of the
map, just due to the orb (range of effect) the planetary aspects possess.
150 miles are about 1/10 of the grid distance of the world map, which has
a grid of 20 degree steps in longitude and latitude.
In fact, the world map is the only map you really need for astrocartography,
because its map resolution is abolutely sufficient for the inherent
spatial resolution of the astrological technique. You may need to scroll your browser window to view all parts of the world map. If you are using WebTV, which
does not allow scrolling, please get a proper PC first.
Please ask any online reference
(or travel guide) for the approximate geographical coordinates of Fiji.
If you know the name of any town on Fiji, you can also use the builtin atlas
at this website. Once you have coordinates,
you can locate this spot on the world map by looking at the coordinate
grid lines (light blue lines).
Finally, if you get the PDF drawing of the world map (which you can enlarge
up to 1600% in Acrobat Reader), you will find Fiji labeled and displayed in detail
to the right side. Please use the link just above the world map to get the PDF
drawing (a special option for paying subscribers; the minimum subscription
entitles you to get 25 PDF drawings for $31 only).

Three times bravo for your website. Just two comments/questions:
1. Is there any chance that you could allow users to insert more than 10
asteroids in a chart?
2. Is there any chance of you adding a midpoint calculation function to your
services (sorted by planet and by sign)?
In any case, your asteroid calculation has been very valuable to me. Keep up
the good work!

Alois adds: 1. Please run two or several charts if you want so many
asteroids. The drawings get too crowded otherwise.
2. Please read my reply from June 30 to the same question.
I have been trying to get an accurate chart for my daughter who was born in
Gainesville Florida, but can't access Gainesville Florida. Can you help?

Please Help! We are considering a move to Australia and have been studying
your brilliant wbesite. We are confused by the overall very beneficial
aspects of this move ecept for one line in the Moon's Nodes sqaure AC which
recommends this (2 specific places we are considering in Australia) should be
avoided. Do we consider the total overall beneficial aspects to 'outweigh'
this one line or paragraph?
Thankyou for help with this confusion!!!!!! Regards Wayne Martin

Alois adds: I am afraid we cannot give personal advice in this guestbook
area. I would be reluctant to base a major decision on a simple tool
like AstroClick Travel. Please read the introductory part of it very
carefully. One important sentence there says:
To employ Astro Maps requires care. The amateur should seek
professional astrological assistance when making major
decisions.
