in Frage kommt?

I found the forecast and other text to be totally inaccurate, and none of it
reflected anything even vaguely similar to my character or my life
circumstances. And yes, I entered my details correctly.
A warning to others:
do not accept the texts within this site as anything other than creative
writing distributed amongst the signs in the hope that some will hit their
mark via coincidence. Remember that profound coincidences happen all the time
in this small world. It is not magic. Good advice, however, is valuable. And
many will learn something positive from the texts within this site, and
horoscopes in general. If a horoscope ever predicts negative events or
misfortune ahead (as I have seen at this site), then it means nothing more
than the writer dabbling in the negative for a change, or perhaps suffering
some kind of bad time him/herself. It is completely irresponsible for a
horoscope writer to allow others (and themselves) to believe that what they
write is above human creativity and imagination - which is generally
undervalued and ignored these days.

If you get re-born, you need to grow up again ;-) . Seriously, if you have
had a special experience of rebirth, you can try doing a new birth chart for

i have never seen anything which made such little sense and had to be re-read
over 3 times. Was this written while under a saturn-mercuty retrograde?
Sounds like the person that wrote this left out all the details that they
seem to know? For Mercury/chiron sextile...could you find nothing better to
write.. I'd say that would being a positive healing communication/interaction
which might help an ongoing problem in ways which could be poignant but
healing........Please re-write..READS AS FOLLOWS: Caution
When communicating or cooperating with others we often encounter certain
unspoken differences, reservations or sensitivities. These do not seriously
hinder the process but interfere insofar that one must be circuitous and
considerate, a circumstance that one accepts but in fact cannot really
understand. This applies to dealings with others and, it must be supposed,
when others deal with us. This influence offers the possibility of either
raising such issues in conversation with others or being made aware of them
in oneself. It is especially important that this be dealt with in a delicate
and sensitive manner by both parties without real empathy and readiness to
understand, it will be impossible to gain much from this quality of time.

The moon information in your daily scopes seems to be wrong. I am not sure

your daily scope shows the moon is in my second house. This inaccuracy makes
me wonder about all of the other readings. It is a shame because there are
things about your site that provide very interesting feedback - but no matter
how valuable the advice may appear, if the moon is being read in the second

Alois adds: I am afraid you have misunderstood some basic facts about houses
in natal charts.
In your natal chart, your Ascendant is 13° Aquarius. The second house of your
chart begins at 2° Aries and ends at 8° Taurus (Placidus house system used).
Your sun sign has nothing to do with all that.
Right now, on Nov 25 2001, 18:30 Universal time, the Moon is at 4° Aries
which is in the second house of your natal horoscope. Also with other house
systems (I checked Koch and Equal) it is in the same house, though the
house cusps differ somewhat.

Alois adds: One cannot determine the Ascendant from the birth date alone;
place and time are essential. It is impossible to check your problem, but
I can already tell you what most likely will come out if you provide complete data.
Astrodienst's calculation is right, others are wrong, if they differ.
The Ascendant is a fact of nature - the degree of the zodiac rising in the
east at the given place and time. There cannot be any dispute about it,
right and wrong are the only two possibilities. Astrodienst has made it
its business since 22 years to be right in these matters. The world of
astrology relies on us.
I resently received the Relationship Horoscope by Liz Greene and the
Horoscope for Two by Mona Riegger. They both were right on target and really
helpful but I had a question. They both used the midpoint method to come up
with their calculations but the planetary aspects of these calculations came
out very different. Usually in these kinds of reports the Sun comes out in
Gemini and follows the pattern that Liz Greene's report followed but with
Mona Riegger's the Sun came out as Scorpio and was very different than other
midpoint reports I have seen. Just wanted to see if they used a different
method for their calculations or wanted to be sure Mona's calculations were
correct.
Thank you!

Alois adds: Thanks for the feedback. The two reports use rather different
astrological techniques. Mona Riegger's Horoscope for Two uses
the time midpoint technique, als known as 'Davison relationship chart' in the
US.
Liz Greene uses a combination of classical synastry (mutual aspects
between both charts) and the Composite Horoscope, where both partner's
planets are combine pairwise into midpoints. The Composite technique has
been made popular by Robert Hand and his book Planets in Composite.
Please read the appendix in both reports for more technical details.

Alois adds: Susannah, I shared a certain reluctance when I read the location
Orlando, because I dislike Disneyland and similar forms of industrialized
entertainment. But large conference facilities at a reasonable price are
not that easy to find. Florida does not attract so many tourists in July
when ti is hot, which is why the resort made an attractive offer.
The conference venue Wyndham Palace resort and spa is not a part
of Disneyland, and as far as I understand, nobody will be forced to visit
Disneylad who does not want to.
I have been to UAC conferences twice, 1989 in New Orleans and 1995 in Monterey.
Each time it was a wonderful experience. The UAC conferences I have
experienced have been by
far the most attractive astrological conferences on this planet. I highly
recommend UAC to every student of astrology.
I consider coming the Orlando.
The only problem is that the date falls into the short five-week summer
vacation period in Switzerland, which I want to spend
with my daughters in the south of France. I tend to choose family interest
over business interest.
Dear fellow Astrologer:
UAC 2002 is going to be a wonderful event, and we're all working
feverishly to get the word out to everyone possible. We hope to see
each and every one of you there.

Hey,
I was thrilled when I found this site. Yesterday I also told my doctor about
it! She was interested in her ascendent. I´m so glad since the first books on
astrology I read in 1975 was written by Liz Green and Robert Hand. I have
always regarded these two astrologers very good and reliable. I also through
this site came into contact with the writings of Dane Rudhyar, whom I always

Alois adds: please use the closest town. For all birth times except those
with precision to the second this is perfectly good.
We cannot allow coordinate entry because the association of a location with
the correct table out of 3000 different timzone history tables is a process
for experts only. Without the correct timezone table most charts would be wrong.
Compared to that risk, the small location differences are irrelevant.
If you are not happy with that, please look for your own astrology
software. We focus on the needs of the 99% of the users, while the rare special
needs of some experts are sometimes better served with expert astrology
software like Solar Fire.

personal portrait is completely me, and I always check the daily horoscopes.
I don't understand how astrology works and I never believed in it so much,
but I can't deny that almost every day the horoscope is about a subject that
on that day is important to me. Whether it is finances or love, or family, or
my inner self, it always is the thing that was on my mind that day anyway. It

Well, Alois, I certainly do appreciate the fact that you printed my post,
given your strong feelings about the inappropriateness of the subject matter
thank you very much. In deference to your feelings, I will not speculate on
your site again. I don't know if a date given out by the U.S. State
Department qualifies as a phantom date, especially when the year correlates
with the year given by Bin Laden himself in an interview. Moreover, this
kind of speculation is indulged in by many astrologers I know you respect
e.g. Lois Rodden (see her site, www.astrodatabank.com). However, this is
your site, and you have the right to run it as you see fit. So, once again,
thanks for printing my post, and I'll shut up in future.

For those who have written in expressing an interest in Osama Bin Laden's
data, it turns out that Bin Laden himself said in a 1999 interview (see
www.terrorism.com/terrorism/BinLadinTranscript.shmtl) that he was born in the
Islamic year 1377. The year changed from 1376 to 1377 between July 28 and
July 29 of 1957 (see www.cspitt.edu/~tawfig/convert). Accordingly, any
prior dates would be incorrect. This knocks out of contention the Interpol
date of March 10, 1957, as well as my previous favourite, April 7, 1957. The
date given by the U.S. State Department, July 30, 1957, would thus appear to
be the correct one. Of course, there remains the issue of the time.
Personally, I'm leaning towards him having a tenth house Neptune and that Leo
stellium, including the exact Sun-Uranus conjunction, in the eighth house. A
lot of Vedic astrologers, however, feel he was born in the morning. Any
thoughts, anyone?
Pam Young [ 2pyounghome.com ]
(visiting www.astro.com)
Guelph, Canada --- Sunday, November 11, 2001 at 17:57 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: I know many of the readers will find me highly opinionated, but I
humbly think this kind of speculation is worthless. It is better to remain
silent instead of reading phantasy horoscopes not based on reliable data.
Excluding two out of three phantom data does not make the remaining phantom date
any more real. You are in danger of just projecting your ideas about a
person you do not really know much about.
Everyone keeps sending me emails about 11-11-2001 at 11:00 and its power. I
see nothing on your site about the date. I realize it is the numerology they
are activating by calling for a toning. I just feel if it is a high (magical)
day in numerology , the astrology for the day should also be high.
Mary (Spielmaker) Miller [ Marytaurustreasures.com ]
(visiting www.astro.com)
Grand Rapids, USA --- Sunday, November 11, 2001 at 16:42 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: I have to admit that personally I think this is nonsense.
There is no real power in a date. A date is just a calendar convention artefact.
Even you will have noticed that by tomorrow, and focus your attention on
the next 'magical' date, e.g. 22 feb 2002, 22:22 (local time?).
I have never been impressed by numerology. I can see some entertainment value,
that's all. For example a twin girl's birthday of 22 feb 1991 is fun, a
real twin-date, but I do not believe that that date expresses anything
meaningful - by "magical power" of the numbers - about their personality.
And now the scientific comment:
Our system of calendar dates and the configurations of the
planets on the sky have little to do with each other
- in mathematical terms, both systems
are incommensurate, i.e. do not share a measuring stick. By some rough
tricks (using leap years) we get the solar cycle to agree with the
length of the calendar year, approximately.
Beyond that there is NO common measurement in day counting
and planetary movements. So your hope that a 'numerologically magical date'
corresponds to an 'astrological high' is unfounded by the laws of nature.
Love the page ... real pro work :)

Alois adds: Please understand that WOW - which is a great software - is only
a program we sell in our shop, not a software we have created.
The responsibility for WOW rests with the author Adrian Duncan alone.
It may well
be that its timezone database contains errors; it is certainly less complete
and less well maintained than the large timezone database on our website.
So if there is a difference, please check the correct timezone on our
server, and then override WOW's assumptions during data entry.
I think Astrodienst is one of the most useful websites around. What really
makes it a great website is the quality of the writing of the main horoscope
interpretations as well as the wealth of detail which has been put into every
aspect of the site. I love the short interpretations too but I would maybe
like to see more areas going into detail about the different planets in the
signs, houses and in aspect to each other. With things like this, the site
could become an invaluable astrological resource for many more people.
Still, astrodienst is the only site which I visit daily if not two or three

Hello, Ciao, Hallo, Hoi!!!!
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOUR SITE, and like many people have said before, the work
you guys are doing is unglaublich fantastico!!!!!!
I have a question for you, I have been playing around with composite charts
(dangerous stuff!!!) and found an amazing match with a great friend of mine
whom I haven't seen in a long time.
The man of my dreams is right here with me, but of course our daily life,
though beautiful, isn't rosy every single hour and our composite (short
report)chart does reflect that, though it also reflects the beauty and depth
of our relationship, and I really love him.
The point is, after doing the composite with this far away friend and it
being so incredibly amazing, I started wondering wether I am in fact living
my life to the fullest, I am happy, but could I be happier? (Human nature can
be so greedy). These are just the short reports, but my question is, aside
from my choices and actions, is the potential of a relationship reflected in
a short report really accurate or would I have to get a full report?
And even if I do, will it then really tell me in which relationship I would
bring out my fullest potential? I am well aware that even though our charts
mean a lot our decisions are the ultimate deciding factor to our fates, but
when one sees such great potential in the combined stars, would it almost be
worth following it? Ich hoffe Sie verstehen was Ich meine.

If your question was about the exact time of the winter solstice: this is
when the Sun enters Capricorn, and it is tricky to find on our site.
Please try: Homepage -> (left column) Printable Ephemeris -> click the letter A
besides the number '2002' -> you get an Acrobat-PDF window with a 20-page
document in it, containing all mundane aspects and planet-sign ingresses of
the year 2002.
Please scroll to page 10, and floow the list until the entry for
22 Dec 2002 1:14. This entry has the glyphs for Sun and Capricorn, and it
indicates the Ingres into Capricorn. It happens at 01:14 AM Universal time.
California is 8 hours behind Universal time, it will be Dec 21, 2002, 7:14 PM.
If you did mistype, and meant the year 2001, then the list gives
Universal Time 21 Dec 2001, 19:21. This will be 11:21 AM in California.
It's not a *free* contest if you have to buy something in order to be entered

Alois adds: The relationship horoscopes (where our system knows the gender
of both persons) work perfectly fine for lesbians or gays.
A known problem
exists with the single-person horscopes where references to a potential
partner are made. In English one could get a way with rewriting in a gender-free
way of expression, but in other languages like French, Italian or German
this would sound really poor. There the better compromise is to ask the
comparatively few homosexuals for acceptance of a heterosexual text.
Alternativly, please feel free to open up a gay and lesbian astro site and
put on there what you like.
Checking all this out for some time now...still learning my way around
the whole process...natural heavy dream states...and waking moments of lucid
dreaming and intuition...know astrology is another part of this whole rebirth
process...thanks...MARK

To the person who is trying to generate a horoscope for 6 BC on Astrodienst.
Try putting in -6 for the year. After pressing 'continue' the first time, it
should then translate as '-06 greg'. Then continue again. I also have an
interesting date for 1 March 7 BCE, at 1.21 AM in Bethlehem, but worked out
that you have to put in -6, not -7. So you might have to try putting in -5
for your date of 6BCE. (The website where I came across this date and chart
by chance recently, claimed that 'world-renowned astologers' had eventually
decided on this time for Jesus' true date of birth...the beginning of the age
of Pisces.) I couldn't get it to calculate at first, but persevered, and of
course Astrodienst had the goods all along. The only thing is, that the moon
is placed at 29 degrees of Pisces, instead of 6 Degrees Pisces for the chart
I saw, where 6 planets are all lined up within 15 degrees of eachother.
Everything else matches exactly, so I assumed I had put the date in
correctly: there's just this discrepancy with the moon.

further to your response on sexual orientation.i am not suggesting that you
make the character of the transits in either a homosexual or heterosexual
way, instead i suggest that the language be inclusive ie.'your lover will
be more attentive at this time' or'you are attracting a love interest into
your life' or a sexual partner cause problems in your life'
lesbians and gays have had to deal with homophobia from many places in
society, from outright attacks, to more subtle exclusions, to the idea that
we are invisible, and should not expect equality because someone somewhere
has decided it is an offence to love someone of the same sex. (perhaps
because we disrupt the patriachal model of power)
however, i challenge you to look into your system and to honor the sexual
diversity of the population. without asking anyone to'make the conversion in
your head, as you are probably used to anyways'

To thank you once again Alois and to respond to Karen Dahl [
karendahlhotmail.co --- Friday, October 26, 2001] re: the validity of
astrology for people with natal charts that are not helpful or are
exceptionally negative.
With a double psychology major, BA and BSc background, specialising in
behaviour modification, I am very opposed to fixed projections of any type
that are negative regarding an individual's potential, be it from religion,
infidels philosophy, predestination and karma culture untouchables astrology,
afflicted science, genetic superiority or outright prejudice.
Human potential
is immense, a vast subject and current knowledge only scratches at the
surface - attempts in history to limit it appear with time as ignorant,
pretentious or dictatorial. Karen's plight touched me as she is one of many
who ask the same questions and then may reject astrology despite the support
they otherwise get from it. Hope the following may help Karen and others like
her.
Knowing I was constructing charts (ASTRODIENST) for friends and contacts, a
doctor asked me to help a colleague - a professional, well-educated, well
traveled, cultured, normal looks, unmarried though wanting to be married, and
suffering from a break-up with a fiance of five years, as well as the loss of
a valued position in a professional group. He felt that perhaps it might
cheer his friend to find something positive to reflect on instead of the
hopelessness of the current situation, the stress of which was actually
causing physical symptoms. When I did the chart I wondered how this person
had survived to adulthood. His friend had the worst double grand cross
configuration I had ever seen - there was nothing but squares and multiples
of squares. Trying to find something positive to relay, I reduced orbs to see
if the fundamental pattern would hold - the result was dismal the pattern
held until almost no aspects remained. I checked the Personas - still nothing
positive worth communicating. I then tried matching his friend with my
contacts and colleagues who had great stars - the results were simply sad.
Yet somehow this person had done so much given truly awful stars - something
was there that should appear to explain the success.
Then inspiration (I am new to astrology and queried just as Karen did the
validity of astrology for successful individuals with severely afflicted
natal charts). I tried matching (Synastry, composites, Davison, anything -
and again exclusively through ASTRODIENST) by complements chosing partners
who had mediocre charts but who were nevertheless successful in their
professional lives due to singular strong points. The results were uncanny. A
very solid multiple sided Grand Trine Kite and almost no negative aspects
resulted at the first attempt. This person was made to partner with others -
and therein explained the lifelong success and potential for future fortune -
the natal chart related well if not brilliantly to the majority of people who
had mediocre even negative charts that were complementary. This person had
the potential to be outstandingly successful in partnership with just about
anyone yet by avoiding instead of positively opening to others when in
difficulty the resulting sadness was precluding that very potential.
Karen, everyone knows of individuals with brilliant charts who relate with
difficulty to others even with good partnership signs and houses because if
you put them with anyone - run a composite or synastry chart - you know they
are better off alone than when trying to partner - the combined result is
almost always worse than the individual brilliant chart.
Several years ago I had a friend who tried to partner with someone who had
brilliant potential for a joint project - both had brilliant natal charts and
were very successful in their own careers. The composites, synastry -
whatever - came up with as dismal a result as their partnership did in
actuality. Both of them admitted to finding partnerships impossible - both
felt they were more successful on their own but also acknowledged that their
success was then limited by that constraint.
Hope that helps, Karen.

Alois adds: At Astrodienst, we have a lot of sympathy for your issue. For those
reports which require two natal data sets our software knows the gender of
both persons involved and we make an effort to use correct gender-dependent
language to describe issues of hetero- and homosexual relationships.
The problem is with the single-person reports, which often contain also
references to relationship issues. In these cases we cannot infer the sexual
orientation from the data you provide. However, many people would consider
it offensive, if we asked for their sexual preferences. If you order a report,
you can use the comment field to indicate your sexual preference, and we
will enter a special code (s=hom) with the order which will have the
effect that all references to partnership issues will have the correct
same-sex gender.
This works with all Liz Greene reports. It is not fully implemented with
the low-cost 'Astrotext' reports in the English edition, where we kept
the original text as written by the authors. In the German translations we
have taken the gender-issues into consideration also with the low-cost
reports.
For the website, however, there is currently no possibility to enter data
about your sexual preference. You have to accept that the wording usually
assumes a heterosexual partnershio. We can only ask you to convert this
in your head - as you are probably used to anyway.
In answer to the inquiries about terrorist attacks on USA, please note that
this week-end Mars is coming to a conjunction of Neptune, which applies to
U.S. because we have Mars square Neptune in natal chart, and unfortunately
this is occurring on the degree of the USA South Node, 6 Aquarius. In
addition, keep an eye on Saturn retrograding back to the degree of USA Uranus
at 8 Gemini in March, at the same month that our progressed Moon is conjunct
prog. Uranus, 6 Gemini. Finally, if you composite midpoint our Mars and
Uranus right now with today's date, you will see both are 14 Aries, opposite
USA Saturn and square our Sun, on November 8th.

Alois adds: Every month there is a moment when the Moon forms the same angle
to the Sun as it did when you were born. Some people are interested in this
moment for issues to do with fertility. This is why it appears in the
Personal Horoscope Calendar and the Daily Horoscope. For women in the fertile
age range, these days are also marked in the upper part of the page.
A theory by the late Czech physician Dr Jonas claims that this is the
'astrologically fertile moment'. I do not subscribe to this theory for
purposes of anticonception but for those trying desperately to get pregnant
it cannot hurt to take it into consideration. Nothing will be lost by
scheduling sex for the hours before the supposedly fertile moment.
In the extended chart selection area, a whole-year "Lunar phases fertility calendar" is
available as well. Like all our online charts, it comes for free.

a) weil sie
Transite) erschien mir absurd.
anbieten.

Wie ist das zu verstehen ? Wann genau ist der Transit exakt ? Heute

nicht die selbe Vorlauf-Zeit?
