Hi, I ordered my personal horoscope calander by Robert Hand, and just wanted
to save everyone 59.00 and say that it is word for word the same horoscope
you would get from Asrtodienst. Don't waste your money. They use the same
computer program as the web page only the web page is FREE!!!
Jessica Pearson (visiting www.astro.com)
, USA --- Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at 22:56 Universal Time (UT/GMT)
Alois adds: The money is not at all wasted. By ordering the calendar, you
can get your daily personal horoscopes for a year (or several years) ahead.
Also, it comes beautifully printed and spiral bound, as a really usefull
calendar serving you for a full years.
On the website you get only today's or tomorrow's reading, which will
often allow only limited planning.
Of course we welcome the free users, and we love to serve them,
but we need also the paying
ones, or we would become unable to provide our services.
if a location is found in more than one place, it continues to default to the
first alphabetical location. in my example Chulavista, CA i cannot figure out
how to select CA over Chuhlavista, AL which it continues to default to, all
the while telling me that there are more that one locations found.
i hit go to new place selection and re-type USA the city, but there is no
option to select from a list of options... help!

When I view my chart, it does not show the way it looks normally. I have
Sagittarius on the 2nd cusp and your chart shows Capricorn. I have Capricorn
intercepted in the second house and Cancer in the 8th, giving me Scorpio on
my 12th 1st houses.
You indicate you are using Placidus and I am confused. I am trying to get a
chart to uplift to my site. My program only gives me .bmps and I need a .gif
chart to upload to show properly.
What type of program are you using that does not show the intercepts? Is
there any choices?

Thanks for the great free chart service. I've learned a lot here, and enjoy
your site more than any other astrological site -- by far. My question is:
the birthdate, Feb 24, 1972 4:42am, generates a square between the moon and
venus other programs do not. Could you explain why this is. I think the
square for this person is very much right, but why do you have it and no
other program does? Thanks again for all the wonderful services here.

My Dear Vicki....
YOU are Going Through a Period of 'Truth' SEEing. People ARE 'Shallow', and
'Self' Serving. It Is NOT Because 'They' Don't Love You It Is More Like They
Don't Know How to LOVE ThemSelves. NoBody 'Taught'em How! YOU See 'Things'
That 'They' Don't. And YOU Are, (As It Seems...), Having 'Trouble' Forgiving
'Them' For It. Confusing as They ARE...Please Know that It Is 'They' Who Is

The Only Reason 'I' Plugged Into 'Feedback' Tonight....and I Hope Alois Reads
This, Is That I Have 'Janus' Program and There Is a Discrepancy Occuring
Where Astodienist Has CANCER Moon and Janus Has PISCES Moon. I Haven't

I have had my most devestating experiences in El Paso. My family has me
questioning the validity of my whole life. I have no one to stand with me and
I am told that I am loved and I believe that. I feel as if my world has been
ripped out from under me though because when the one (s) who love me have
achieved whatever they were after, they just invalidate me, verbally abuse
me, accuse me, and leave me.
I even wonder at times if this woman is my real birth mother. Instead of
emotional support for incidents', I get accussed of ruining her life. The
things happening are happening to me, not her. I now see her
reaction/accusations as a ploy to constantly keep me on guard so I cannot
adequately assess my situation.
My life is constant upheaveal and betrayal. I was not taught to see the world
and people for what it and they often are. I instead, believe what I am told.
I was not taught the reality of life for a reason. I guess so my Mother can
blame me today.
My kids steal from me, lie to me, verbally abuse me, etc.
I love them and I always forgive. My life is not mine it is for them. No
matter how hard I try, .......................
please, tell me why my mother, sister children hate me so, and why, when my
Father died, I lost the only person who truely loved me as I am?
Guess I was born for this, or is there a turn-around I haven't tried?
Intuitively, I sense that my now fiancee is on the same agenda. .....Can't
shake that feeling.
Yes, I am aware I sound paranoid....It's about time....better tomorrow is not
happening....
Please please write to me and help.
Michael, if you're still there does the T-square have the difficult aspects
everyday of the rest of my life?
I am still an optomist, but reality is a rude and devestating awakening.

Hi, I've been using this great site for quite some time now. And I ofcourse
know it 'works' coz I see it has it by the right end all the time.
I don't know how to calculate horoscopes etc, but I agree that certain
transits have some influence on you yes. And all those transits and their
meanings cand B calculated and archived by a software program yes, and it has
it by the right end yes.
BUT, I can assume that this is Western Astrology, and I recentley heard from
some 'non-believer' that this all is based upon something not right, coz this
astrology hasn't adjusted their views to the earth precession.
How bout that?????
Is it or is it not??

Thanks to those who have been studying the missing intern mystery in

two significant factors: when she disappeared, Chandra Levy's Neptune of 15
deg. 57 min.Sagittarus conjunct transiting Pluto was important since it rules
and also squares her Moon conjunct Mars, with her Pluto opp. her Venus, and
her Pluto 12 Libra is conjunct Condit's Moon and Neptune. Therefore, we are
pinpointing July 30th when Moon and Mars are 15 deg. 55 Sagittarius conj.
Pluto for a break in case, something hidden to be brought to surface.

If anyone is using astrology to solve mysteries by relationship and composite
charts, you might try making an event chart for the moment Moon was opposed
to Uranus on May 1, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
Then make a birthchart for Chandra Levy on April 14, 1977 in Cleveland,
Ohio at 1:20 p.m.This birthtime is not from a primary source but the
secondary charts work out best with it.
Finally, a chart for Gary Condit on April 21, 1948 in Salina, Oklahoma
at 10:54 p.m., birth time also not primary source but works well.
Now do three composite charts, one to each other and each natal chart
to the event. Look for the same degrees popping up in each chart, and circle
them. You will be an amazing detective. I'd be interested in your results.

Alois adds: What you look for has always been there. We want to provide convenience for our users, but we also take privacy very serious. Both goals tend to
collide.
You have two features built into our website available for your
problem. Both are accessed from the 'my astro' page.
a) Make your account registered, and turn the 'high security' feature on when
you register. Then access to your data will only be possible by password.
You will still need to make sure that the browser is terminated when you are done working in the library, or that the computer you use is turned off, so that
the cache memory of the browser is deleted.
b) Use the 'delete this account' feature on the 'my astro' page after each
usage. You will have to reenter your data each time you access our site.
Also in this case, terminate the browser when you are done, so that nobody can
call up your data from the browser history.
Hi,
One question: is there a feature available which is analog the daily
horoskope and allows to change the date, so that you can go back in time to
see transits and constellations of certain dates in the past?

All the passionate work put into this site is deeply and profoundly
appreciated by me. Thank you. However, you may want to reconsider the
predictions about attraction to the opposite sex that may be contained in
some personal portrait items. It may keep gays and lesbians in denial misery
about their sexual preference. For example, I found this: You are going to
be attracted to the opposite sex with too much force and enthusiasm and your
over-ardent nature may lead you into unfortunate situations. You should be
most successful with the opposite sex but at the same time, you will suffer
many disappointments and frustrations. You are overly aggressive and
assertive in love you are closely possessive, and can become violent if your
attentions are not gratified within a reasonable length of time.

Alois adds: I am sorry, but I do not understand what you try to say with
'what gives'. If you want to see your chart layout, look at your chart.
With un-equal houses it is normal that some signs cover more than one
house cusp (if a house is smaller than 30 degrees) or some signs do not
touch any house cusp (if a house is larger than 30 degrees). If you use the
equal house system, this does not happen of course.
Hello, I have questions about the astro travel part of your site.Is there a
way to enter in the exact longitude and latitude of a particular place to get
more precise information. I am planning a relocation and am looking for the

rifka (visiting www.astro.com)

Alois adds: Just click on the map. Do not overestimate the precision possible with
this technique; the orb on both sides of each line is at least 100 miles. Or
more, if your birth time is not known precise to the minute. No information at
all would be gained with higher resolution map. Jim Lewis, the main
creator of the map technique, did all his work with the world maps alone.

have. I have my moon's true node in the third house just one degree from the
IC. Presuming my birthtime is exactly right and given that the node is in
retrograde motion and not about to turn direct, would you in any way
interpret this as a 4th house or IC influence? This is important to me Alois,
this is my spiritual destiny we're talking about.
Thanks for an awesome resource,

Alois adds: The diurnal motion of the sky is much faster than the intrinsic
motion of the planets or nodes. Of course, with a one degree orb one would
read this as a conjunction to the IC. I personally do not take the Lunar
nodes so seriously; they are just a mathematical abstraction, not a real
essence. I would not subscribe to your sentence, that spiritual destiny
depends on the Lunar node.

Hello!
I'd like to say I just recently started coming to this site and think it's
great! I'm in an Astrology class right now and am telling everyone to come
here.
But, here's my concern: I check my husband's and my horoscope daily and the
other day, his tomorrow was the same exact thing as my today. I thought this
to be very odd unless our planets and what-not happened to line up at all the
same places and time in our charts - is this possible or is there another
explanation???? Please reply - I am very curious.
Thanks,

I have found out that Astrodenst and all other astrology software on the
market computes the
ascendant of my chart incorrectly.
I am born on December 19, 1975, at 3.45 pm in
Honolulu. Astrodienst computes my Ascendant as 26 Taurus, but I believe it
to be Gemini, and I get this by computing it my own way.
I think you need to refund all the charts you have so

Max knows better [ Maxsomewhere.com ]

Alois adds: How to compute the Ascendant
NOTA BENE: The Ascendant and the MC are actual points on the sky which
can be measured and observed by an astronomer at any given time. They are facts
of nature, open to observation, provided one understands the celestial
coordinate systems involved in their definition. There can be no dispute
about what the correct Ascendant at any given time and place is. It is a fact
of nature.
You need for manual calculation of the Ascendant:
- knowledge of the birth time, as recorded in by reading a wrist watch or wall clock
- knowledge of the timezone in effect at that date at your birth place, including the knowledge whether there was daylight saving time in effect or not
- a printed ephemeris which contains a listing of 'sidereal time at midnight in Greenwich'
- a printed table of houses
You need to understand some key terms of celestial geometry.
Ecliptic: The plane of motion of the Earth around the Sun, which
is the same as the plane of the apparent motion of the Sun around Earth from
a geocentric perspective. As seen on the sky, the Ecliptic is a circle rising
somewhere in the East and setting somewhere in the West. Positions of planets
or mathematical points on the ecliptic are measured in degrees, starting from
the Zero-Point which is the 'Vernal Equinox Point', the intersection of the
Ecliptic with the celestial Equator. When you look towards south, degrees
on the Ecliptic are counted towards the East, in an anti-clockwise manner.
As a notational shorthand, insetad of using values between 0° and 360°,
astronomers and astrologers have divided the circle into 12 sections of
30 degrees each, and have named these ecliptic sections with the names of
ancient zodiac constellations, i.e. Aries (0-30°), Taurus (30°-60°),
Gemini (60° - 90°), etc. Instead of saying 56 degrees, astrologers say
Taurus 26 degrees.
Equator:The celestial Equator is an extension of the equatorial plane
of the earth's globe into the sky.
Meridian:The plane vertical to an oberserver's location, containing
the Earth's rotation axis and the Zenith.
Horizon:The horizontal plane of the observer, extended into the sky.
For purposes of astronomical calculation, the plane of the Horizon is
transposed from the earth surface to the center of the globe.
Medium Coeli (MC):The point of intersection between the Ecliptic
and the Meridian, measured as a degree on the Ecliptic
Ascendant:The 'rising point' of the Ecliptic, the point of intersection
between the Ecliptic and the Horizon, in the East.
Steps for hand computation
1. Determine Universal Time (UT):The timezone of Honolulu on Dec 19, 1975, is 10 hours west of Greenwich. For a birth at 3.45 pm, in Greenwich it is
already 10 hours later, which is 1.45 AM on Dec 20th, 1975.
The determination of UT does not depend on your location within the state of
Hawaii, it only depends on the difference between your timezone and Greenwich
Mean Time, aka Universal Time.
2. Sidereal Time at Midnight in Greenwich: read from the Ephemeris
for Dec 20, 1975: Sid.Time = 05h51m50s
3. Sidereal time in Greenwich at birth moment: Add 1h45m, and
add a correction of 17 seconds. The sidereal day is only 23h56m04s long,
so that for each full 24 hours of UT a correction of 3m56s must be applied.
This is approximately 10 seconds for each full hour of UT, or 17 seconds
for our case.
The sidereal time at Greenwich is: 05h51m50s + 1h45m + 17s = 06h96m67s =
07h37m07s.
4. Sideral time at birth place: The birth place is at a certain
rotational angle from Greenwich. Honolulu is at 157°52' west of Greenwich,
as given by its geographic longitude. This angle must be converted into
a 'time angle', by converting from the degree system to the hour-angle system,
which is done by dividing by 15: For precise calculation we convert everything
to arcseconds first: 157*3600 + 52*60 = 568'320 arcsec, divided by 15 = 37'888
time seconds.
This is converted back to hours and minutes: 10h31m28s west.
Because it is a western longitude, it must be subtracted from the sidereal
time at Greenwich (for an eastern location, the hour angle would have to be
added). To avoid a negative value, we add a full circle of 24 hours first:
31h37m07s - 10h31m28s = 21h05m39s.
This is your sidereal time at birth, also known as ARMC. It is listed
on every Astrodienst chart below the UT value on top of the chart.
Final steps: For the given Sidereal Time, look up the MC in the
table of houses. The MC does not depend on geographic latitude, only on the ARMC. Because your table will contain only an entry for every 4 minutes of ARMC, you will need to interpolate.
With the given geographic latitude of Honolulu, which is 21°18' north, now look
up the Ascendant. Again you will need to interpolate, because the table will
only contain entries for full degrees of latitude.
Astrodienst's computer does not look up printed tables for sidereal time
or for the Ascendant, of course. It contains the precise algorithm for
Sidereal Time, and for the trigonometric calculations involved. The result
however is THE SAME as a careful hand calculation, precise by the second.
For any further information, please read the manuals for Swiss Ephemeris
available online at this website, or ask your local astrology group.
PS: The guestbook entry by 'Max' is made up by me. It is in tone and
content emulating a sequence of messages which reached us as a

Because my explanation is of general interest and should help to prevent such

Hallo, Herr Treindl!
Diese Homepage ist wirklich - nach jahrelangem Herumstöbern im Internet – das
Beste, was ich diesbezüglich je gefunden habe, sowohl vom Aufbau her als auch
inhaltlich. GRATULIERE!

Wirklich
empfehlenswert.

For chart drawings - which you are going to

For chart readings, where we resp. our astrologers provide the interpretation,

I think this is only fair. An astrologer who lets the client decide what
