Hard to believe you have improved upon what I consider the best site
available...but alas..you have!! I have happily directed many people
here..and will continue to do so. In some of the chat rooms I frequent, we
have done group 'field trips' here...encouraging people that if they are
going to get a daily horoscope, to get it from people who have done their
homework...not simply know how to market. I am a professional astrologer and
confess to many times using your chart selection over my own program..which
is no slouch..but doesn't offer near the range. Thankful for this...I give
your site as a reference to all my friends, students, clients and anyone
interested in astrology. Your work continues to awe me!!

This is a brilliant site. I'm so grateful to you! One thing I noted is that
the sample reports do not include the astrological data. If I were to order
one, I would want to see which features of my natal chart were being
discussed, though I realize that the integration makes it hard to point to
just one or two items.

I've only one more question, once they told me that when you are born in the
south -according to the Ecuador- your ascendent goes with the sun (for
example: if you're born in Australia at 7 in the morning your ascendent may
be the same that your sun, and every 2 hours to the next astrological sign)
though when you're born in the north of the Ecuador, is the complementary
opposite, for example if you're born in Finland on may 7th at 7 in the
morning you're taurus, ascendent scorpio, where can I find an explanation for
this idea?

Alois adds: The Sun does not rise eveywhere at the same time.
If you would say 'born on July 15 at sunrise' then you have Cancer
ascendant wherever you are born, but if you say 'born on July 15 at 7 am',
you have not. In south Chile the Sun will not have risen at that time,
whereas in the north it is high up on the sky. The rising sign at that time
will be therefore different from the Sun sign.
Please rely on our software to do it right for you. It does the
required math really well and is unable to make mistakes.
I'd like to learn about astrology, I'd love to find a book which explains
the meaning of each house, the planets and their influences, the moon and
ascendent. I'd like to know how to explain my chart, to know more about me,
Anybody can help me? which book should I start with? how can I learn? Please

i've already commented that liz greene has done more to shape my thinking
than any other individual, living or dead. she rules! my comment for the
guestbook is how much i love the images that go along with the daily
horoscopes. i think the daily horoscopes are really coming along nicely ...
as a professional astrologer, god knows how hard it is to come up with fairly
accurate unique descriptions for every single one of those every day for
every sign. i find my very helpful and i think pretty accurate although i
haven't been looking at them here long enough to really judge that. the
images, though, are marvelous. very archetypal, of course, wonderful! great

Alois adds: Wenn Daten für person 1 und Person 2 eingegeben worden sind,
erscheinen diverse Partnerhoroskop-Zeichnungen im Auswahlmenu für
Zeichnungstypen. Das war immer so, es wurde nichts entfernt.
Wenn nur ein Geburtsdatensatz vorhanden ist, können naturgemäss keine
Partnerprodukte angeboten werden und erscheinen daher automatisch nicht
aufgelistet.
Ich würde gern Horoskopdeutungen auch in spanischer Sprache haben bzw.
deutsch und spanisch. Gibt es da Möglichkeiten?

I would like to ask you what the initials on the Free Chart mean. For
example, Horizontally, : C (I assume that is cadent) F (what does this
mean?) M, (What does that mean? Vertically: F (fast?); "A", "E" (East?) W

please tell me what indicates in a chart the conception or possible
conception, for example when a couple are planning to conceive or want to try
and go back to see the planetary conditions when the child was conceived.
Also what are the indicators for marriage.

credit card in Swiss Francs. Your credit card company will convert this to
pounds when it issues your card charge statement.
As of today, 79 CHF are approx. 31.60 pounds.

Diskussionsforen fast immer von 'Spinnern' dominiert werden, so dass eine

For some reason, my chart off of your site is not matching up with what I
believe is my correct chart. I'm confused, to say the least. Its giving me
Aries rising, when every other chart I've ever done gives me Libra

Question-
The "time" during which I was born no longer exists in my state, due to
changes in the law about setting time ahead in spring, etc. It was called
Central Standard Time. When doing my chart, I entered the manual time sector
and entered the only CST that I saw. Can anyone tell me if I did this
correctly? I have had my chart done professionally twice and have received 2
different charts. Any help is appreciated!!!

Alois adds: You shoudl have stayed in automatic timezone mode. Our system
knows all the timezone history of every town. You MUST NOT make any manual
correction. The only thing you nned to know and enter into the computer
is 'wall time' or 'wrist time', the time shown by a clock on the wall, or on
a noral person's wrist watch, at the moment of birth.
i've been reading liz greene's books since the mid 1970's. liz, you have
done more to shape my thinking and influence my life as an intellectual (with
5 planets and north node in the 9th house) than any other thinker, living or
dead.
you have also given me more solace and healing than any other method,
experience, system, etc. healer i've explored and there have been plenty of
them.
i just read *neptune* finally and had another apocalytic experience.
i've become a professional astrologer since 10 years ago (i'm a 56 year old
mother, businesswoman and history/language student) and i also do counseling
with tarot cards. (as well as the many other interests and talents you would
expect from a loaded 9th house).
alas, the rest of my chart and the aspects to these planets is not so easy
going and you have been of tremendous help to me. i wonder what would have
happened to me without your insight and encouragement through compassion. i
don't know any other way to ever get this feedback to you, though i've often
wished i could get on a plane and fly there for a personal reading. i have
ordered your written report and have recommended it to anyone who will listen
to me!!

Time apeared 15:27 (7 hours difference). But we have daylight saving time,

east of Greenwich. In the winter, you have 6 hours.
The difference between 10.27 and 15.27 is 5 hours, I don't know how
you came to see it as 7 hours.

conjunction will have a duration of a year or so. It is more important.
Your site is a big help in my daily life! I do get mixed up, though, by two
long term transits that seem to contradict each other. "Mercury conjunction
Mars" and "Mars in the first house". Which is the more important one?

WOrds of Appreciation, and request for guidance......
I have been studying Astrology seriously for about ten years now. I spent a
few years not really doing much, adn have now discovered teh gears in my head
(and in my stars) are aligned to let me study effectively again. Thank you
for your wonderful website, it has helped me tremendously when I am in doubt
or have questions.
Now, my request. I am helping a friend (also an astrology student) who is
currently having a huge 10th house culmination of planets. Her natal shows
her moon in taurus in the 10th, her venus in Gemini in the 10th and her
saturn in Gemini in the 10th. She is currently having a transit of Sun in
Taurs, Mercury in Gemini, Venusin Taurus, Mars in Gemini, Jupiter in taurus,
and Saturn in Taurus. Venus and Jupiter are in direct conjunction. Her
natal and current moon transit are in almost direct opposition (with the
current moon transiting the 3rd house, entering the 4th) I have heard this
type of thing referred to as a 'stellar' transit or conjunction of planets,
but don't seem to understand the exact significance of it. I realize this is
a major major thing for her. She is due to have her second child at the end
of this month (and I don't think it is a strange coincidence at all) Could
anyone lead me in the right direction (book, website, etc.) that could help
me interpret this for her. I have a few theories on the significance of the
moon opposing moon and some of the 10th house clutter, but I know there is
something I am missing here. Anyone who can lead me into the right direction

'web default style', you will find Lilith listed among the planets.

I can't figure out what the asterisks(*) mean next to the title of the
interpretation of an influencce. Sometimes there is one, two, or three, or
none. Also, specifically, how is it decided which aspects are listed,
including the "aspect chosen for today". So many of them on mine involve the
moon. I know the moon creates the most frequent aspects but is it because it

Great site! But... on free chart I only was able to use Placidus, not Whole
house system as I specified. Did I do something wrong?
Also, about the Atlas-- my birth certificate said that I was born in
Schenectady, NY, USA on 2 September 1947 at 7:15pm EST; however your program
automatically calculated the time of birth using daylight savings time-- I
don't know which is correct. Any suggestions?

Did I read a little while back that there will soon be available career
reports by Liz Greene? I hope so; could you please tell me approximately
when these will be available? I look forward to ordering some, because I
know from experience how terrific Astrodienst reports are. Just for the
record, may I take this opportunity to say to some people who have written in
and complained that not everything on this site is free, Liz Greene's reports
are worth a lot more than Astrodienst charges for them. I've ordered quite a
few of them over the years, psychological reports, relationship reports,
child's horoscope reports, yearly reports and the Hosocope 2000 reports, and
they are all far superior to anything else that is out on the market. This
was brought home to me recently by something I could have lived without: I
had ordered a few Horoscope 2000 reports, one for myself and a couple for
other people I know. Reading them over, I agreed with Liz Greene's
predictions on how the August/99 eclipse would affect the other people I had
ordered reports for, but I disagreed with her predictions for myself. I was
using the Campanus house system at the time, and I assumed the reason I
disagreed with her interpretation of the effect the eclipse would have on me
was because she uses the Placidus system, which put the eclipse in my third
house, rather than the second, which is where I took it to be, by Campanus
(also Koch.) Well, guess what - unfortunately for me, Liz Greene turned out
to be dead right. The eclipse did indeed affect me in a third house way; in
fact, the way it hit me had such a literal third house meaning that it would
be downright funny, if it weren't that what happened was so awful. I'm still
dealing with the fallout from that eclipse. All I can say is, her prediction
was staggeringly accurate, and I will never doubt her again. The one good
thing to come out of the whole mess is that now I finally know which house
system is correct: Placidus! So people, instead of complaining that
everything isn't free, just be glad we live in an age when it is possible to
get reports of this calibre done by computer; it's a lot more expensive to
have a personal consultation with a good, experienced astrologer. The late
Charles Harvey himself wrote that, before having a consultation with a
client, he often ordered one of Liz Greene's reports on the person, because
he felt the information he obtained thereby helped him do a better job!
Anyway, sorry for this long aside.

minutes. My first question is: a minus in declination means Lilith is
"moving" retrograde, or what does a negative declination means?

Alois adds: In ecliptic and equatorial coordinates is it customary to
use negative values for southern latitude and declination.
I do not know what equations you mean. The formulae for coordinate
transformations are imbedded in the Swiss Ephemeris software.
You need not work with formulae, you just have to use the available
tools (or if you are a programmer, call the functions provided in
Swiss Ephemeris).
Most astrologers ignore latitude (the deviation of a celestial body
from the plane of the ecliptic) and work only with ecliptic longitude.
Chart drawings would have to be 3-dimensional on a celestial sphere, to
visualize latitude.

i certainly don't think i asked a question that many others who frequent your
site might ask. your answer was curt and actually rather rude.
if you would prefer that those of us who are not "practitioners" of astrology
(and, i might add, those of us who would be most likely to purchase your

books out there. We even provide a online dictionary, and a book search.

elsewhere. Maybe one day we find staff who works for free to answer all

called chart rectification, where they try to use life data to fix a birth
time. The results depend largely on the technique they use, astrologers
often do not agree about the methods and the results. First, you should
consult te birth registry office in your city, to see what time was
registered for you.

Alois adds: A lot of explanation is currently missing on the website,
as the advanced chart calculation styles in our free chart service area
are primarily intended for students and practicioners of astrology which
also read books on the subject. We are working on improving the explanation
part but it will take time. If you read German, try the german catalogue
section as it contains more explanations than the English edition.
My advice for the moment is: stick to those techniques
you understand already, and get some books on the subject to learn more.

for my natal info, because it's less trouble to switch to different
locations.

birth data. I suspect that you have enetered your natal chart in a wrong
way (did you possibly use manual timezone settings and used a wrong
timezone?) or that you are not aware that Placidus houses are used for
the daily horoscope and the house cusps are not where you believe them to be.
I am sure there is no error, just a data entry problem or a misunderstanding
on your end.

birth is wrong, and our database is right. Therefore it is recommended
to let the automatic system apply its superior knowledge instead of tampering
with manual settings.
Should you be in possession of well documented 'official' proof that some
information about timezone or daylight savings time for a particular
place and time is INCORRECT in our database, please share this information
(including the documents which prove it) with us, so that we can integrate
it into our system.

Dear Mr Alois:
When i write "intercepted houses" i mean two oposite signs in the middle of
two cuspids, a house -not necesarily small, but full with it's 30 grades- in
the middle of two cuspids.
Of course, if that's the case, then two signs would be reapeated in two
cuspids. This makes some houses smaller, but not necesarily the one i call
intercepted.
This "interception" concept, i learned in the Marion D.March & Joan McEvers
method for self teaching, published in ACS Publications Inc.
Of course this ladies do not write a lot about "intercepted" houses &
planets, but they give some kind of a hint. Never about the non wanted
children hipotesis, which is absolutly my responsability...and consistetly
have been matching in my practice.
I am very carfull to get to that opinion about a natal chart, after long
talks -several- with my friends & clients...and only if i am absolutly sure
about the matter i dare to tell them something about.
I am using an old kepler program which is the one from which i get the charts
with "intercepted houses".
I'll be glad to keep in touch with you, as well as with Miss. Greene, about
such a touchy matter, because i do feel i have to be absolutly sure about my
hipotesis, or otherwise dicard it.

program take account of daily saving details? Or do I need to make any

Alois adds: our software takes all timezones and daylight savings times
automatically into account. What you must enter is 'wall time', i.e. the time
shown by a clock on the wall. Never make ANY "adjustments".

When does these houses, and the planets involved in them are "set free"?

Alois adds: My teachers (Liz Greene and Thomas Ring) have not placed
strong emphasis on the fact that a sign was intercepted (a sign was
completely within a house, and did not touch a house cusp). I am not
sure what you mean by 'intercepted house', have you just confused the term,
or do you mean a small house which is contained within one sign? I have never
heard that anybody attached a special meaning to that. Of course, in astrology
there are so many opinions and theories, anything is possible.
In higher geographic latitudes (Scandinavia, Iceland) two of the quadrants
are often very large, and two are very samll. There are intercepted signs
(in the large quadrants) and houses (in the small quadrants) in many charts.
I would be very carefully to apply a mechanistic-fatalistic interpretation
like yours to all those people.
Close to the Equator you get them very rarely. Are you sure that
'the wantedness of children by their father' varies with geographic latitude?

surprised to find that the set up had changed, and that it wasn't quite as
clear as it used to be to quickly display your natal horoscope. Perhaps you
could put 'show chart'feature back on the section where you enter your birth

You would also have found it by setting the country to Saudi Arabia
and entering only 'j' for the city; it gives you a list of all cities
starting with 'j'. Type less, find more.

Alois adds: Such a view of astrology is by far too fatalistic. There are so many
ways to express Mars-Pluto, it could also mean a position of power if your
daughter asserts herself, and a thousand other things. Don't listen
to destructive advice which may come from a an unconsciously envious person
who possibly loves to damage your plans.
Really like what you are doing- but sometimes the daily horoscope has some
wierd wording in it- please review sometime.
I.E. in the following paragraph, the word 'SINCE' should obvoiusly be
adjusted to 'IF'

How brilliant that you have supplied charts fo amature astrologers. I have
many books with charts in but I could not find how calculation of the
ascendant worked. Now, thanks to you I can get it, and how kind of you to

It troubles me that our lives and the way we feel is effected by brain
chemistry. Indeed it is very disheartning that our opinions,emotions and
outlook that all seem spiritual to us is based on complex chemicals creating

I also write a daily astrological forecast in the Jumbo Mall

for the charts that I offer with a 5-10page analysis. I can do the analysis
since it is a brief outline, but I have to write the charts myself and scan
them into the computer and then send them to individuals. I'd like to send
individuals copies of their charts using your service. I've read your
licensing agreement and that seems like it would be too expensive for my
company right now, though I believe that it is an excellent idea. Do you have
any ideas on what I can do? Since I am probably one of Liz Greene's biggest
