Dear Sirs
I like your site to much but there are some questions that I would I like to
put:
1- What is the advantage on the orb reduction % on a natal chart
2- Why the program considers orb of a value superior than 5º, since acording
to Stephen Arroyo, my favourite author, the effects are much weaker than
until the limit of 5º, or even a 7º maximum.
3- Is a real square, trine or other aspect "real" if the degrees values is
superior to 5º?.

Alois adds: The size of orbs is purely a matter of personal taste, similar
to the question how much sugar or milk should be in a cup of coffee.
Liz Greene, for example, uses 10 degree orbs, Thomas Ring, my first teacher, used up to 15 degrees for certain aspects.
I have liked the site, but it does not tell about a particular question
bothering a person's mind. Like I want to know the course my career is going
to take. Pl. predict if possible.

1. This site is fantastic - I'm having so much fun playing with all the
different options.
2. Do you plan on adding the capability of doing converse progressions to the
chart selection?
3. My problem is that I've been going by the birthtime of 4:14 pm in Orleans,
France on 5/4/56 for many years which was giving me an Asc.of 2 degrees Libra
because I was told I needed to correct the time by one hour but recently I
met someone who was born the same year as me in almost the exact same
location who advised that an Astrologer who specializes in European charts
said not to correct the time because that area used local mean time? This
gives me an ASC of 11 degrees Libra. How do I know which time to go with? My
original chart did seem to be off a little but I'm not sure that the new one
fits any better.

Alois adds: We do not offer converse progressions. If you think you must
have them, do progressions for as many years before your birthdate as
you would normally be years old.
Obviously, the charts from our server are correct. Do not believe in any
nonsense information. Local means time in 1956 is a joke, no place in the
world has had it after 1939.
Was looking for german city so I could do a chart for a student & found
you...what a nice surprise! Beautiful charts and easy to use...will stop by
again.

born in England.

I've tried every which way I can think of between the 'continue' and 'map 1 &
2' buttons and cannot get any result of combining persons 1 & 2. Is the
outcome a synastric chart or type of comparison of the charts?

Your data would show the sign & ascendant but when I tried to view the chart,
it would only show today's 2-24 sign in Shawnee, Ok. All the other charts I
did on our family worked can you help me out here?

This is just a great site and service. I became interested in astrology a

One aspect I find curious... I still have last year's daily horoscope in my

Alois: Very often the daily horoscope is not right. There are always more issues around you than just one, and often they contradict each other.
Astrology does not work
as mechanically as you seem to believe. Where do we claim that the daily
horoscope must be correct every day? Where is the fake, then?

Your site is wonderful. Have you considered including a "Uranian" chart type
selection that would include the fictive "planets" such as Admetos, Kronos,
Poseidon, Vulcanus, etc...?

The "continue" button on the data entry page does
not work. It keeps looping back to the data entry
page, and you cannot proceed to the chart selection. This is on Netscape

For those who are truly stuck on how to use this site (at a basic
level):
Click on the button which says "Horoscope Charts" (at main menu).
Enter your birth details. Click "Continue".
The computer will bring up your Sun, Moon and Ascendant signs (in that
order). The glyphs (symbols) represent planets and the signs they are placed
in. Somewhere along the line you are going to have to find out which glyphs
represent
what. (Not sure if there are alternate options on this site, but its not hard
to find out. Many horoscope pages in papers list the symbols next to each
sign).
Click "Continue" again to get to your chart.
This chart shows all the planets at your time of birth. On the left, at o
degrees of the circle, is your Ascendant sign. The chart is divided into
numbered houses. Around the chart are the symbols showing the planets and
where they fall at the time of your birth.
Get some very very basic astrology books out of the library (lots exist) and
start interpreting the symbols. - If you think this is hard work, remember
most of us in the past have had to calculate positions of planets by hand
with good old pencil and paper ! .
I'm not sure - perhaps Handbag Horoscopes even gives the symbols for each
planet, and sign.
Sun - is a circle with a dot in.
Moon - looks like a moon.
Asc - Ascendant.
Mars - male symbol. (think Austin Powers)
Venus - female symbol.
Mercury - like Venus, but with "horns" on top, and the X is straight
underneath the circle.
Jupiter - looks like a curly "4".
Saturn - like a small "h" with a t-bar crossing the long line of the "h".
Neptune - looks like a 3-pronged trident.
Uranus - like an "H" with a small line-circle thru the middle.
Pluto - like a "P" with a horizontal line extending R from the base of the
P.
As for the sign symbols, you'll have to look them up. Good luck !

I tried to write before, but it didn't work. Thank you for your most
excellent site which I am recommending to all my friends. I saw some other
net users have found you through reading Jessica Adam's "Handbag Horoscopes";
this is how I found you too.
One site that may be of use to those newbies who need more guidance in the
matter of astrology is astronet.com. If you go to this site, and go to
"Readings", you can get a free analysis of the different angles in your chart
(squares, trines etc). However, it doesn't take into account ascendants.
One thing I would like to request, or suggest. Is there any chance of setting
up an Astro-Twins network for people to register their birth details. In this
way people could contact people born on the same day as them, or nearby ???
Astronet has one, but it has no "order" to it, so new messages just push out
the old ones.
One other thing. I noticed the houses on my chart are not equal sized, ie you
can't be using the "Equal House" system. Which system are you using and what
is the difference ? - or could you refer me to somewhere that would explain
?

I really enjoy your site. I am just wondering why my daily horoscope
based on my birthdate, place, and time does not correspond with my progressed
chart on your sight. My daily horoscope indicates that planets are entering
houses they've already passed through. For example, it says the moon is
entering the 12th house but in the progressed chart the moon is in the 11th
house moving into the 10th house.
Is the daily horoscope just not accurate yet?

Alois adds: The daily horoscope on our 'sight' is based on transits, while
the progressed horoscope is based on progressions. These are quite different
computational techniques to cover time astrologically.

Alois adds: All our natal charts are whell charts in western style, but you do get the sidereal zodiac in it if you select this option. For real hindu-style
charts you must look somewhere else, I am afraid, we do not intend to support
these.
I'm an avid astrology fan and i've used your service before. It's great.
The only thing is i noticed that the chart option changed and i'm unable to
easily read it anymore. I had selected in the past and was happy with the
following:
-Astrodientist free chart
-Placidus houses.
-Tropical, geocentric.
These selections made available to me the houses and what sign there in,
spelled out not the symbols. And also spelled out the planets and what sign
there in. And lastly it spells out the elements and the number of signs
within that element, above hor, below, east half, west, ang, suc, Cad.
I loved this chart selection. Could you please bring it back or let me know
what to select now to get a similar chart.

if you died as I did but was conciouse of the exact moment of your death and

trip. I wanted to know why. Why I had to suffer so many hells through my life
I wanted to open up the doors to the question we all ask and I was born again
on sun feb 18 00.01 1978 I need to check the police records in england or the
two hospitals one in liskeard and one in plymouth a naval hospital.

would be interested to know what star sign that would make me and so on. Also
my friends and I are in the process of starting to make a movie about
this........I started two months ago and now about 50 people are involved
anyway we simply wondered what woiuld happen in the world if you could
deliver the same message of love within the same 24 hours therfore all people
would be thinking about love it only has to be above 51% and everyone else
would eventually have to follow therfore the collective conciouse might

Thanks so much for your wonderful site. It was great before, and now with
the addition of the daily horoscopes, it is fabulous.
However, several times I have noticed that you will suddenly list a transit
which has been effective for several months or weeks prior to the date it's
listed, oftentimes almost past the point of being useful. Is this a glitch?
Would it be possible to list ALL the transits occuring for that individual,
regardless of whether those transits are of short or long duration? This
would be a great help.

Alois adds: Already the data entry page shows the Sun sign, Moon Sign
and Ascendant sign and degree. The rising sign is the same as the Ascendant sign.
The signs are shown with astrological glyphs, but if you run the mous cursor over them, the name of the sign should pop up.

I had a question, concerning the ranking order of the signs in my natal
chart. I was looking at the Astrodienst chart after I
typed in my stats and printed out a text interpretation. Toward the end, it
lists your
signs and their power, and further ranks them.
Should I be checking up on the sign ranked with the most power at the time
of my birth?
I guess that the main reason I'm asking is
that I've been trying to remind myself to
read my rising sign for a better overall
picture. I'm an Aries(sun)Pisces(moon)Leo
(asc). If I go on the power of the signs at
the moment of my birth, they rank Aquarius(1,
Mars & Jupiter, 6th house)Sagittarius(2,
Neptune and 5th house) Aries (3, Sun sign, Venus,
Chiron, 8th house).
Any help would be appreciated, since I'm rather
new to the whole process.

You can play with the 'relocation chart' which is also on our menu, but
such derived charts will always be only of secondary importance.
This site is a dream come true. I begin each day here. I've used two copies
of Hand's book on transits and they are in shreds. I welcome the easy access
and accuracy. I would welcome more information on Chiron's role in natal and
transits for the individual. I congratulate all who participate in this

Hello, again. I don't know quite what to make of this, as I have not yet
gone the mile to calculate the vertex, myself, nor do I know or cannot find
anything of it's rate of speed. But, when I pull up my chart (6-29-69, South
Lake Tahoe, CA, 9:45 pm) with natal, progressions, and solar arc combined, my
progressed vertex for February 12, 2000 is in 4th House, 1 degree Gemini.
Natally, for me the vertex lies in 1 degree Virgo. Moreover, putting
different dates in for progressions, transits, etc., my progressed vertex as
shown moves approximately from natal 1st House Pisces through to 8th House
Virgo (180 degrees) from January to June, 2000. When I pull up the just
plain progressed chart at the bottom of "Select other chart options box,"
however, my progressed vertex for February 11, 2000 lies in 22-23 degrees
Virgo, and instead moves at a spead roughly at 2/3 of a degree a year. As I
have come to understand what little I do know but wonder of the vertex as an
angle, I assumed that it progresses like the other angles. Instead, your
progressions, solar arc chart says that this angle instead moves all around
the natal chart in progession at the speed of a transiting sun; and unlike
the 1 degree per year, progressed Ascendant or Midheaven. Also, looking at
progressions for some months, though I have no chart paper copies with a
progressed vertex location, I could have always sworn that it was in fact
according to the 2/3 degree per year method, and therefore has never left
Virgo--though I may have mistaken it as your regular just plain progressed
chart by Astrolog 5.41 has as the solar arc progressed vertex? Is there some
glitch in either software? As always, Thank you!

One Question?
On a TYPE:671.GW Chart the same imput data came up with AC 17 Degrees and on
the same imput data for TYPE:62.GW Chart the AC came up with 2'30" Degrees. I
had not modified the imput value! Any explanations? Or our these by different
individuals meathods who use separate House systems?
I like the new default charts that is up right now! Their easy to see!

and the two charts you metnion represent different techniques.

I have had trouble finding books that deal with how synergistic charts
compare with composite charts. Which method do you find more reliable and
useful for considering marriages and compatibility between two individuals
for long-term. Also, do you find progressed composites to be very accurate or
helpful? I know Robert Hand uses them but I don't think Stephen Arroyo has
written about it. Your opinion is greatly appreciated since I'm having
trouble with accessing astrologers who do a lot which composites.

I've been in astrol. practice for 30 yrs and have always resisted involvement
in the neo-electro-instant symbology of computer logic. Always seemed too
easy a way for 'analogical' thinking to suffer an excess of 'formula'
answers.
But this site has convinced me otherwise. While those dangers are
persistent, easy access of data, info, and files brings the best of computing
to the still largely intuitive use of analogies and keywords.
I've discovered I can learn more about computers by reading your responses to
feedback, from locating online ephemerides to graphic software ideas and
download & printing suggestions. Thanks for this, too. I wish I had more
time. I'd love to attack your files of important issues & questions
submitted/answered in this way. They need cataloguing, indexing &
cross-referencing. Good luck. I'm off to explore you more.

My mother told me always that I was born on a Sunday, I was a "real Sunday
child". Now however I see on my chart that 30 April 1930 fell on a Wednesday,

I posted a few questions last week which seem to have gone unnoticed.
Firstly, I wondered where I could get the interpretations for the transits to
and from Chiron, seeing as they are not in the book by Robert Hand from which
the other interpretations are drawn. Secondly, I pointed out that when
Jupiter transited my natal Chiron by conjunction recently, the corresponding
interpretation did not appear in the horoscope section. Was this because you
have no relevant interpretations in your database or was it simply an error?
Also, for the long-term forecasts in the horoscope section, the start date of
the influence is always 30th September 1999 for all transits. Its been like
this for ages so I presume its a thorny problem but I thought I'd mention it
in case it hasn't been noticed at all. Thank you again for your kindness and
generosity in maintaining this site.

before. I try to answer important questions in gthe guestbook but
sometimes I am too busy otherwise.
The Chiron transit text was written by members of Astrodienst staff.
It was never published, it is used only for our Horoscope Calendars.
Because not all the text has yet been translated into English, some
transits of the slow planets over Chiron are missing in the English
daily horoscope. You would find them in the German version, if you
switch langauges in data entry.
We have fixed the bug with the start date 30 Sept 1999. I can explain
why this bug was there. In the printed edition of the Personal Horoscope
Calendar, tghe duration of a transit is not given in words, but shown
graphically with a time scale. For a calendar covering the year 2000, this
scale does only show the three preceding months, from Oct to Dec 1999.
Transits starting before would just have a graphical indicator that
they actually start earlier but the 'time-bar' would not show when.
Therefore internally the cut-off date was set at one day before the start
of the visible time period, as the information would not be displayed
anyway. For the web-edition, I had forgotten to remove this cut-off.
On the web the start date is given in words, and now it is correct.

ALois adds: Make the screen image full size 100%, portrait mode. The save
the image locally on your disk with right mouse button, Save as..
Now open the GIF file with some graphics program, convert it to
grayscale or b/w and print it in the best resolution your printer can do.
If you don't have a graphics program, get LviewPro at www.lview.com. It is
inexpensive, efficient and simple.
Your site is being renovated and fine-tuned regularly, I see. It's looking
better all the time! I regularly visit for charts and recommend the shop to
friends. The chart program includes the house numbers, and they seem to
overlap the planetary degrees, making them illegible. Is there a way for me
to adjust that?

It occurred only on the new server www.astro.com, not on www.astro.com. This
is why we overlooked it; don'pt know how this little bug sneaked in. We are
greatful for help to improve our service. Bugs get usually fixed quickly,
suggestions for features get noticed but rarely picked up, as we
have to use the software we got, which is basically very European in style
and techniques.

According to your chart, my Moon is in Gemini, but when I looked it up in
a book (on how to do charts), it has my Moon in Cancer. Can you double-check
this?
Also, I put in a partner chart but don't understand if the chart tells
what we are together or if it even includes him. Would appreciate your
clarifying for a dim-wit.

Alois adds: It is impossible to check anything without your complete data.
However, the Moon moves by 15 degrees every day, and changes signs nearly
every second day (to make it around the zodiac in 27 days). A general
book on moon signs cannot be right for many people, if the time of birth and
the timezone are not taken into account.
If you have entered two data sets, optional relationship charts will be
available in the chart type pulldown. No reading for relationships is
currently provided. The daily horoscope is always for the 1st person.
I enjoy your site very much and check on my horoscope on a daily basis.
I've done my birth chart and was enjoying doing some for friends, and now I
can't get into the "new Query" Is that because this feature is no longer
available, or am I having trouble on my end? Thank you

Hello, again! I like the minor additions of orb size option and the wider
boxes for beginning date to chart progressions. I can't seem to find a link
to the actual DAV database which would list ALL the famous people's birth
charts. I can't find anything at Mr. Pullen's web-site. Since I do not know
everyone's birthday, it would be very convenient and luxurious to search
through all the database provided personalities rather than just being able
to look at the charts for those which share any given date's chart. Just
another spoiled request for another luxury: Do you have a link or address to
that database? Thank you!

not entitled to publish its complete content on the Internet, only to use
it for answering specific queries for specific days.

bestellen, doch bin mir nicht ganz sicher (Preis), welchen Service bzw.
Möglichkeiten ich mit diesem Programm habe. Habe ich z.B. die Möglichkeit mit
Phollus, Nessus etc zu arbeiten, oder muss ich das Swiss Ephemeris Asteroids
dazu bestellen??.
Wenn ihr mir näheres über das WOW- Programm und seine Leistungen berichten

I do have to share this with you. A very dear
Friend called me early this morning to tell me about her 12 year old grandson
sexually molesting
his 1/2 sister(my Friend caught him in the act.
So I told her about your web site and asked her
about his date of birth, etc...and she gave me two
times, but couldn't remember exactly what time he
was born and since you guys didn't have Salinas, California on your maps, I
put in Monterey. and
the time as 2;45 am. Well, when I saw the chart
and where his moon and sun and all the lines and
wow! I panicked thinking "my God....this is a monster...he has been pushed to
the brink and is going to explode and kill you all.!!" So I took off down
the road to my buddy's house and found him building a magic chalk circle on
his living room floor. Well...we live in Southern Oregon in
the Illinois Valley and where we live is in a forest...my #3 son and I have
five acres, and Miles has a few yards more. But we are both pretty
deep into research, altered states and higher occult stuff...but he's a
horney dude and when Michele showed up ten minutes later...I flashed and
split...(now, hey...be mindful...I will be
76 years old come 12:30 AM July 25th. I was born
7-25-24, Columbus, Mont. And Miles will be 50 years old March 19th. So I
came on home, stopping
first to smoke a bowel with another young neighbor
and cut loose the new phone card I's just bought
and called my Friend to tell her his chart scared me silly. That's when she
told me that she'd found his birthcertificate and the time was 1540
and then she also told me that she had called the police and that they had
had an incredible effect
on his behavior for he wouldn't take responsibility for anything he had done,
blaming it on others or whatever came to his mind....and
yelling at the policeman created a feedback trip that sat that kid right on
his psychological but!!
I do apologize for taking so much time...but it seems very logical for
examining the planetary
aspects and energy fields in force all of today because my Friend got her
Pastor envolved and some
others from the Child Protective Agency and the
young man seems to be more aligned with himself.

I want to make just one point: To call someone a 'monster' just from his or her
chart is a serious abuse of astrology. You probably never checked charts of
real monsters. Fact is, you don't see it there.

When switching out of a special transits chart back to the "enter data" where
I attempted to only "reduce the size of the chart" for printing purposes (at
12:18 PST (LA, CA, USA) time I "encountered an error." Reference was made
to
1.2.6 Server; Port 80.

programs have it at 28 degrees Capricorn. Also, other slight differences
