of life. If you are 40 years old, the progressed planets are at the positions
of 40 days after your birth.
Chiron can be seen as 'the wound and the healing', Pars Fortunae means luck.

In most countries of the world birth time is registered when a birth is
officially registered. Please contact the birth registry office in the town
your were born. The main exception for this rule is England.

Alois adds: A relocation chart is just a normal natal chart computer for
the same Universal time you are born at, but for another city.
You run your normal birth chart and on the 'Timzone page? make a noteo
of the UT as shown in the tomezon map's clock face.
Then you go back to the city selection and choose the relocated place.
In the timezone page, you now enter your modified birth time (only if
the relocated place is in a different timezone from you natal place).
You enter a birht time so that the UT shown in the map is the same as you
had noted earlier. For moving west, it means you will have to enter
a birth time with some hours less. Once you have found the right time
correction to give you the same UT, you can run the chart.
I can't believe the variety of chart types you're offering--for free! Call me greedy, but how about adding solar return charts? Please and thanks.

The information that I received while inserting the necessary information was inaccurated. I have inserted 3/12/84, New York, NY, * 5:03a.m., which is the birth date of my son. The data I've received was that his sun sign is in Aquarius and his rising sign is Gemini. We all know that in the earlier part of March is in Picses. Also by having his chart read earlier in his years, I was informed that his rising sign is Aquarius. If I were you, I would check to see if there is a glitch in the astrological software you are using.

This is a question (probably a stupid one). Do your charts take into account "daylight saving time" for us northern folks. My software program produces different rising signs from yours for people born in the winter months, so something (probably the program - it's shareware0 is wrong. I love the website. Thank you.

Thanks for making this site avaialable! I accessed it as a result of receiving an astrological cd -rom as a gift. It's from the U.K. and I was confused as to whether I had to put in the actual time of my birth ( sydney time 3.58am on October 31 1964) or adjust it to U.T. ( 5.58pm on October 30) In any case, the geographic location given for Sydney Australia on your site is 151e13,33s52 whereas on my cd-rom it is 151e13,35s52. Which is correct, and does 2 degrees make any difference? It must, because your site gives my ascendant as Libra, and my program gives me Pisces. Aaaaaaggghhhhh!!!
Help me please! Your site is excellent especially for a confused novice like me. Thanks!
P.S. The charts I printed out were a Natal Chart Wheel (placidus) and an Aspect/Midpoint Grid Chart, Western geocentric, tropical.

southern latitudes incorrectly. I hope you pressed the 'update timezone' button
on our web page after entering your data and time.
I gave the same information to a site named: Astroadvice. My birth chart (placidus) is different. Some planets are in different houses and so forth. Why? Which site should I trust.
I like yours better, but I really need answers on this. I´M CONFUSED, BIG TIME!

Alois adds: There are various ways to compute composite charts, not all use
a reference place. Some astrologers (Liz Greene is one of them) compute also
the Ascendent and all other house cusps as midpoints between the two charts.
If you want to use the reference-latitude technique, take the place
where the relationship is actually lived, or take your place, as this is
where you experience the relationship most of the time (even when the partner
is absent).

which differs from historical year counting because the historical counting
has no year zero.
For 10 BC you enter -9, for 333 BC you enter -332, i.e. always shifted by one.
The calculations are good for down to -5400.

I have a question. My birthday is February 12,1979. I know ordinarily, that would make me an aquarius. However, I was a c-section. One of my friends said that because it was not a natural birth (the labor was induced), and I was a couple weeks early, I may not necessarily be an aquarius. style charts. Our site is dedicated to western astrology, which is mostly
incompatible with Hindu astrology. Mixing both will create confusion
for most visitors. Even the current option of doing sidereal charts may
be dropped again.
The Internet has a lot of space for Vedic enthusiasts to set up their own
sites and free services.

I was wondering whether the chart also calculates for locllised time difference from the nearest longtitude? This can throw off calculations by a coule of minutes, and seeing how quickly Cusps can change it could be drastic... Please E-mail me & let me know. In regard to the formula you sent me there still seems to be some confusion on the night part of fortune. I have "100's" of charts that I had done by Astro Communications in Califoria, all used what you termed the day method. Prior to this change of format I used Astrodienst extensively and the part of fortune always agreed with the formulas--- asc+moon-sun ---- no matter what the birth time was. Also, Joan Negus, Marion March, Joan McEvers and Martin Schulman state in their books and all agree with the previous method that was always used by Astrodienst which is the method I have stated above. Can you lend any further light on this situation? Thank You so much.

I really like the new format. It is direct and to the point. There is a bug with the pars fortunes.
It doesn't seem to be calculating properly. Not for any of my charts, not even mine and if you figure it out mathematicand for night birth: p.f. = asc + Sun - Moon.
Asc, Sun, Moon are the zodiac positions in the value range 0 .. 360 degrees;
if the result is negative, you add 360.
Click on the 'Astro Dictionary' link on top of this page, and enter the search
term 'Arabic Parts'. Then scroll down in the resulting page and you will
find the definitions of VERY MANY such parts, including what I quoted above.
For the visitor's amusement I quote it below. Please don't believe all this
medi-eval nonsense and don't start asking questions about it. I only quote
from a named source; if you want to know more, please research the area
yourself. C7 means cusp of house 7, just to give a little help. I do not know
what R7 is. I also do not know the origin of this list; obviously it cannot
be all from the Arabic medieval astrologers as Uranus, Neptune

I had searched with chart type 'natal and progressed' but the bug was only with
'progressed' chart.
Your code for "natal progressed chart for today"
is screwed up. It shows a chart for today's date.
Ex. my natal chart for 10,17,52 progressed to todays sun in cap. for 1,03,99. That did not happen when i progressed my chart 3 nites ago.

it should. The natal is in the inner, the progressed chart in the outer
circle of planets.
Could it be that you ran the chart without pressing
the 'upate timezone' after you had entered your birthdata?
The other possible error is that you selected 'natal and transit chart'
instead of 'naal and progressed' from the pulldown-list.

I found the old Kairon 2.14 for Macintosh, and that's exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to have Chiron, Fortuna and Vertex into the same chart! This is a professional program! The only problem is that the planets are a little small in the graph, but I think we can't have a personnal programm especially for one person...

Last week I ordered a psychological horoscope analysis in english at www.astro.com. I received it and was very surprised with the results. However, today I saw that it was also possible to have this analysis in dutch. Would it be possible to receive a copy in dutch and what could be arranged with you with respect to the price I would have to pay for that? There are so many words that I do not understand completely and that is why I am asking this.

What a great New Year's present!! I am absolutely in a state of ecstasy over now having choices for the Houses Systems in all charts!! And I love having the choice of putting Chiron, etc in too.
