Thank you very much for this good job.
I want to ask you; where can I find Summertime
practice years in Turkey?
Second, I have "Expert Astrologer CD", is it good?
Thanks again.

Thank you Miss Greene for sending me my chart interpritation last week. But I have been reading your books on Neptune and Saturn and I'm wondering if there is any more info I need added to my chart? I've been doing my own investigating on the matter, as it relates to my reading, and its' very heavy stuff. Loving every minute of it. Bye bye redemption, hello happiness.

I am soooo very happy that I found this site. I have had many requests for charts from people who were born in the Former Soviet Union, Poland, India, etc. I have been searching and searching the Internet to get those latitudes and longitudes. I will forever be grateful to you for this wonderful service...Unceasing blessing to you.

This is a wonderful site. It is throrough, accurate and really well designed. Living in Canada, all the accessible astrology software is geared for the United States and therefore it has been hard to find data on our own country. My only criticism is you left out New Brunswick, the province of my birth on the east coast of Canada. It's okay, we're used to it. Again, many thanks for your fabulous information.

It is would not be OK, but we did not leave it out.
You cannot just enter a province name and expect cities listed, you must enter
a city name.
For example, check Naswaaksis. To get a list of cities in New Brunswick, you
have to enter
,NB
i.e. a comma followed by NB. There will be 93 hits. OK?
A wonderful site! I have great astrology interpretation software - but have often felt hindered by not having exact geographic locations...now I do! I found your site thru Jonathan Crainer's horoscope site. Thanks so much and continued success.

Thanxs for this beautiful free ! site.
I am an amateur since many years and it helps a lot not having to calculate everything
"by hand/brain"...Just few questions though...
The Astro-Worldmap chart looks so interesting.
Could you give me a clue or refer to books on how to interprete this type of chart please ?
And the sign and house hierarchy dispositors ?
My natal chart includes a full Davidstar (two complete triangles/sextiles and of course a bunch of squares...never came accross an interpretation on this. What would you say if my Chiron-position conjuncts exactly with my Pars Fortunae ?
I'm sure I ask too much, but if you could answer only half of these questions I would be more than happy.

I read your interview on the Astro*Intelligence program conducted 10 years ago. It answered a lot of questions I had about the nature of the analyses created by the program. Michael Tumilty [ *mailcity.com ]
San Francisco, CA --- Wednesday, January 21, 1998 at 21:51 Swiss time
Alois adds:
The rules have grown somewhat over time when charts came up which the program
could not understand, or when interpretations went obviously wrong and we
knew enough about the personalities involved.
But the changes are not really visible; it is very likely that a reading
of 1988 would come out the same today. The Psychological Horoscope Analysis
is a long running bestseller and
one does not feel much need to fix what is still very solid.
The effort to create such a program is very large and considerable talent
is required. To my knowledge nobody in the
field has picked up our approach. We have used the same technique of course
for additional reports, particularily the Child's Horoscope, the
Relationship Horoscope, the Yearly Horoscope Analysis and forthcoming
reports.
Thank You for the free charts. I belong to a small spiritual study group and we are now begining to delve into astrology. Your charts have been most helpful!

Alois adds: The Moon moved from 13° Leo to 6°Virgo during these two days.
It was very quick to setup two charts and look at the Moon's positions.
Are the interpretations by Liz Greene based on a computer program, or are they actually written independently by her? In other words, does each paragraph in the analysis just describe the meaning of a certain planet in a certain sign or house, or is the whole chart blended and written by a real astrologer?
Also, are important midpoints considered at all in the interpretation? (By the way, this site is the best. I could spend all day making charts. Thanks again for providing this generous service. Although, I wish the midpoint chart in the program calculated the Asc. and the Mc.)
Michael Tumilty [ *mailcity.com ]
San Francisco, USA --- Wednesday, January 21, 1998 at 01:30 Swiss time
Alois adds: The reports we offer are computer generated, but they are very
different from the cookbook-style computer reports offered elsewhere.
The whole chart
is analyzed and to a large extent sythesized (blended). This is why we call
our technique 'Astro*Intelligence' as a pun on 'artificial intelligence'.
Please visit this page for more information.
Liz Greene does not consider midpoints in her reading, not in the computer
model and usually also not in personal readings. Personal readings are
available by apointment, but you have to come to Switzerland, Liz does them
not by phone or mail.

INRE:Gratitude for ASTROLOG/Astrolog on a MacPlus
I want to thank you so VERY much for Astrolog. Being quite new to computers and the internet I am simply astounded at the generosity and kindness being offered through freeware and shareware. Many people with dark agendas want us to believe in a mean world theory of life, I have found quite the opposite on the net. Scores of people are shariong their brilliance and Spirit given talents with the masses. This, in my opinion, can only lead to a better world for all.
It is apparent you are doing your best to bring light to the field of astrology by making as wide an availability as possible of you fantastic program. My entry level into the computer world for now is a MacPlus, Syhstem 6.0.8 with a 50 MB HD and 4K Ram update. While my graphics capability is extremely limited, I can now have a complete text of a birth chart in 45 seconds. The time and energy of the mechanics of chart preparation are now devoted to interpretation.
Because of a highly developed intuitive sense, for years I have been using Grant Lewi's Heaven Know's What for quick, simple chart construction. Your program now offers me the best of both worlds- impeccable hard info combined with my insights. My approach is an eclectic one from Stephen Arroyo to Sun Bear's Medicine Wheel, earth astrology.
My recent experience with a brilliant young Buddhist, Mathematician, Astrologer has led us to an understanding that astrology can lead one to an understanding of Part of Everything.
If you or anyone out there reading this have any tips, clues or help in regards to running Astrolog.530 on a MacPlus, I would certainly appreciate your input at: *juno.com. I'm using a little control panel accessory to find the Lat/Long of cities: MAP, System Software version 6.0.4, Version 1.2 from Apple, circ:1987-89.

many years ago,i took some classes in astrology. placidian method. much fun making charts for all my family. recently i received c-d rom astrology. some of the charts that come up are so totally off in regard to ascendant. also, i was taught to add 12 hours for am births. when this is done some of these charts are compatible with the ones i did some are not. any ideas ? these new charts have very little, if anything,in common with the personalities of my family members. they agree.

Alois adds: Dear Patton, you seem to refer to a CDROM program you bought from
someone, not to the charts created on our online server. I cannot comment on
this CDROM which is unknown to me.
Like many others, you seem to be confused by hand-calculation rules from many
years ago. Until the 1970ies, most published ephemerides where calculated
for noon, not for midnight. To use these tables for chart setup one
had to count the hours of the day from noon, not from midnight. This was and
still is the source of many errors. From this use of very old noon tables
stems the confusing rule to add 12 hours.
A computer program does not use ephemeris
tables. It can compute the planetary positions for any instant of time, not
just for noon or midnight. The only requirement is, that Universal Time
(abbreviated UT or GMT) must be computed from the local time given in the
birth registry. One must know the correct timezone of the place of birth and
whether daylight savings time was used or not. This is the source of many
errors, and our online database is the simplest way to avoid any such error:
it knows the timezone and daylight savings times for every place on Earth, and
for any date. The task is reduced to selecting the right place and entering the
normal birth time. Then the chart will come out absolutely correct.
If your CDROM astrology program does not have a builtin database of timezones
and places of comparable quality, there may be errors, because you must
manually enter the correct time zone and you may not know all the obscure
daylight savings time rules of the past. Some states had different daylight
savings time observation varying from county to county (this is not a typing
error, I really mean county, not country)!
I want to mention the important plausibilty check you should apply to every
chart. A chart is a drawing of the celestial situation at the moment of birth.
There is the horizontal axis Ascendant - Descendant, and there is the vertical
meridian axis MC - DC. The Sun in the chart must come out at a place in the sky which
is compatible with the time of day you were born. Just use your common sense.
For a night birth, the Sun
must be under the horizon, i.e. in houses 1 through 6. For a day birth it
must be in houses 7 through 12. For a birth before noon, the Sun must be
in the eastern hemisphere of the chart (the side of the Ascendant). If
you apply this plausibilty check, you will easily find out when someone (you?)
made an error of 12 hours, because the hemisphere where the Sun is will come
out totally wrong.
Thanks so much for providing this information in such an easy to use format. I have always been interested in astrology and now that I have my own chart I am learning more about what all these things mean. We are so much more than our Sun signs! Besides the fact that I am very analytical (a curse sometimes!) and a worrier (ditto!!) I certainly don't feel that I am 100% Virgo. It's fascinating!
I am curious about something though... Taurus appears in both my 3rd (2 degrees) and 4th (28 degrees) houses and Scorpio in my 9th (2 degrees) and 10th (28 degrees)... I thought that they lined up in order after the ascendant (mine is Aquarius). Could I have done something wrong? My b/d Sep 2, 1956 in Norfolk, Virginia at 5:04 pm
Thanks again for your wonderful site. I recommend it often!! Vicki

Alois adds: Vicky, I think you refer to the 'Equal house system' where houses
are exactly 30 degrees in size, starting at the ascendant. We use mostly
Placidus houses system, where houses are not of equal size. Sometimes a
house is considerably larger than 30 degrees and a complete sign can be
contained in it. The choice of house system is a matter of taste, like
the choice of a color for clothing or for a car. There is no generally right
or wrong system.
I`m here again! Thanks for a good website. Now to my question: Which chart will I trust in?
I have one called equal houses and one standard chart (placidus house). It`s quite important to know which one I will put my interest in.
Please mail me!
Kiss kiss!

Hallo lieber Astrodienst,
ich hätte da mal eine ganz blöde Frage: Wann beginnt bzw. begann das Zeitalter des Wassermanns?
Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen.

Timezone is not represented by text but graphically.
The Univeral time is shown in the clock face inside the map, and the

Alois adds: While we offer free chart calculation on our website, we do not
offer chart readings for free. Our reports are very valuable and recommended
by leading experts. For detailed personal questions however I would
recommend a consulation with a good local astrologer in your area.
Alois adds: The rules for transcription into Latin have changed over the
years and it is likely that our database contains outdated or incorrect
transcriptions. The best advise for finding a birth place is: enter only
the first few letters, not the whole city name. it is much more likely to
be found despite differences in spelling.
