Mid-November 2012 until end of August 2013: This is often a time of enormous frustration, when you really feel as if you are beating your head against a wall. It can also be a time when you accomplish a great deal of hard work. Which it will be depends on how you handle the energy of this influence. Its basic meaning is "inhibited energy," but it can also be "disciplined energy" if you don't try to do too many things over too broad a spectrum.

On the negative side, this influence can produce feelings of intense irritability. The least little thing seems to set you off, and unfortunately you are often confronted with considerably more than "little things." People or circumstances seem to get in the way of whatever you try to do.

Sometimes you will get involved in the most acrimonious ego disputes with others. It may be tempting to chalk this up to some kind of plot against you, but that is probably not the case. It is more likely that - even with the best of intentions - you put out some energy that is threatening to others. They respond by trying to stop you. Even if you don't mean to be threatening, you must try very hard not to make people feel threatened.

The problem with this period is that your energies are being curbed. You should take on only duties that are limited in scope but that require great exertion and concentrated effort within that scope. If you concentrate your efforts on relatively narrow objectives, you can make constructive use of this energy. But if you proceed with grandiose and far-reaching plans, you will probably encounter the worst effects of this influence.

Saturn conjunction Ascendant: Following through

Mid-November 2012 until end of August 2013: This is one of the most significant times of your life. During this time your responsibilities will increase considerably, and you will try to eliminate everything in your life that is not necessary to fulfilling them. Therefore your life will become more complex and simpler at the same time. You are finishing up certain tasks in your life and going into a five- to eight-year period of relatively quiet preparation for a new beginning. You will be cutting some elements out of your life and working hard to complete others.

During this time you may have less freedom of movement than usual because of the pressure of circumstances and the need to get things done. Old tasks that have never been completed must be finished now. This may not be a very light-hearted time, but it should be quite productive. But do not start out on a completely new project, because in a few years you may find that you do not have the material or psychological resources to complete it. Finish what is unfinished and simplify your life.

Good relationships will not suffer appreciably during this time, but bad ones will break up completely. You are withdrawing from everything in your life that is unnecessary or in the way of your development during the next few years. Bad or difficult relationships may be among the elements that are discarded.

Try to avoid building a wall between yourself and others, for this is a great danger now. Duty, responsibility and obligations do not preclude personally satisfying relationships, even though you may feel that they do. If you cut yourself off from others unnecessarily, you will become lonely and depressed. The people who belong in your everyday life are very important for you now, especially since you are excluding those who do not belong. Often it is good to seek out the company and advice of older people, for they have the insight and understanding you need.

From 6 May 2013 until 15 May 2013: This can be and usually is a very positive time. But you can make more or less out of it, depending upon how you handle it. In most ways it represents a period of culmination in your life, and you will be tempted to expand beyond any reasonable limit. There is no question that you have a good chance for success in any one of a number of endeavors at this time and, within reason, you should pursue them. However, you should not restrict yourself solely to material and physical growth now. Even if you don't have all the material goods that you want, you should turn your attention to spiritual and inner needs. Ultimately, nothing satisfies like satisfaction. Objects that you acquire, possessions, money, and even social prestige are merely devices to make you feel that you have satisfaction. They are not the state of satisfaction itself. It is your inner difficulties that make your life less than it could be, even if you have corresponding problems in the material world. You must look for the solutions within yourself, and this time represents a turning point, where you should begin to look for the answers.

Under this influence, the tendency is to go after everything that you want in the material world without caring especially about whoever is in your way, to gather as much stuff as you can and indulge yourself in what you want. Then, as the influence subsides, you may feel that this effort has failed, leaving your life as empty as it was before.

Do not be arrogant toward others or assume that you have everything right. Through meaningful encounters with others, especially intimate one-to-one encounters, you can find out which way you should go at this time. Work with another person and think in terms of mutual growth. By trying to achieve goals set by both of you and by trying to be a twosome, you each will become more conscious of what you are as an individual. If you can recognize the real meaning of this influence in terms of your own life, this can be an extremely productive and growth- oriented time, a period that will always have meaning for you.

Beginning of May 2013 until mid-January 2015: The effect of this influence is to sweep away all the old and outworn structures that you have built up and to create a total revolution in your life.

Your life is probably circumscribed by many elements from the past that no longer serve any useful purpose in your life. You have not got rid of them because they represent a certain security, but they are getting in the way of your continued growth and therefore must be cleared away from your life. The events that occur now will force this change upon you, if you have not already begun to change voluntarily.

This influence does not operate suddenly, but with deep psychological forces that operate very slowly over a long period of time. They keep you moving and growing, make you throw off the old and enter new ways of living. This influence represents a time when these forces have built up to a critical point and must be released.

It is not possible to say exactly what will pass away from your life at this time, because it will be different for everyone. But you will have a sense that a powerful force is emerging in your life that you have been dimly aware of for some time. If you look into yourself, you will realize that what is happening now is not really a surprise. You were hoping that this new force would go away if you ignored it, but it didn't, and now you have to deal with it.

Mid-August 2013 until mid-April 2014: This influence brings the urge to achieve to the forefront of your life. You will make great, even extraordinary, efforts to gain success as you personally define it. You work harder and strive to gain your objective with every ounce of energy at your disposal. Consequently, this influence often occurs just at the moment when some tremendous effort in your life bears fruit.

Sometimes there is a tremendous drive to gain power, and this influence can bring you power even when you are not trying especially hard to get it. Remember that each person has opportunities for a different kind of power. It may be great or relatively humble in terms of the larger society, but it will be meaningful to you.

This power drive is sufficiently strong that it is difficult to deny, even if it has absolutely no outlet. In that case you are likely to get into some kind of conflict with authorities, even to the extent of arrest. If your ambition becomes the irresistible force against an immovable society, you will probably be the loser. Therefore you must scan your life to find areas where you can let this energy manifest itself. Surely in some area of your life you can better yourself and achieve something that would bring you recognition and respect. This is true no matter how depressed you think you are or how downtrodden your circumstances. If you put all your energy into working on that, it is quite likely that you will accomplish what you want.

The dominant drive of this influence is self-betterment, but each individual has to define that term for himself. You can work in that direction now, and how well you succeed depends largely on what you mean by betterment. Unfortunately, for some people it means simply money or power. Mid-August 2013 until end of April 2014: This is usually a very pleasant influence, indicating harmony in relationships and perhaps even a new relationship that will be of great significance in your life. You want love very much, and you are able to give it to those around you.

This influence encourages a taste for the lavish and beautiful, and you are not likely to let much stand in the way of what you want. Therefore you must be careful not to waste valuable resources and squander money. If you are cautious, it is possible to make excellent investments at this time, but only if you examine all of the possibilities very carefully. This influence has the negative attribute of carelessness, so you must concentrate on being careful.
