Sun in Libra, Moon in Scorpio
These astrological positions indicate a clever and shrewd personality. You tend to be aggressive
and are often downright blasphemous. When crossed you wreak revenge in full measure. You relish
displaying your wit and knowledge and make a point of telling others of your various successes
and victories. These shows of your achievement, however, are to your detriment because they earn
you the ill will of others. You lean toward the darker sides of life, and your imagination can
be morbid. You are fascinated by the mysterious, malignant forces in the universe. A nocturnal
individual, your thoughts often turn to death, finalities, and the mysteries of life after death.
The key to a more harmonious self lies in developing optimism and recognizing the good that
exists in the world.
Ascendant in Virgo, Mercury in the First House
At the time of your birth the zodiacal sign of Virgo was ascending in the horizon. Its ruler
Mercury is located in the first house.
This indicates that throughout your life you will assume a reserved, quiet, analytical, critical,
and receptive attitude.
Although you are not an individual with a very strong ambition, you possess the ability to
persevere and exert ingenuity.
Some selfishness is noted. However, if you are able to counteract this trait with your natural
helpful and sympathetic attitude and address your positive qualities to resolve the problems of
others then you will accomplish your highest spiritual duties and your degree of consciousness
and perception will be expanded.
You are not afraid to work but you like to do things where you can use intellectual resources
rather than mechanical ones. There is some independence here but don't try to be forceful about
it because Virgo's natural habitat is one in which the person is led by some powerful authority
and where the important decisions are best made by others.
You are very attentive to detail and this makes you a good worker, especially so in those jobs
that require a great deal of precision and observation. You have a desire for purity and though
you don't mind relating to others there is something that you do dislike: continuous intrusion of
your privacy. Business and practicality should be very important in your life. Although we are
not advising you to turn against your natural traits, which make you slightly reserved, we would
suggest that when in love you let yourself relax and respond so as to be able to return some of
the affection you are receiving.
Life will find you in many situations in which you will function as advisor and counsellor; make
use of these opportunities to project the power of your creativeness.

Sun in the First House
The Sun is in the first house. You are by nature energetic, proud and self-assertive. You
project yourself enthusiastically and energetically into all situations. Your naturally outgoing
disposition and personable manner usually make a good impression on people.
Your heightened self-perception puts you in touch with a strong sense of will, and you can
manipulate your will to suit your aims and desires in life. This position of the Sun gives the
capacity for leadership, for you tend to attract people and to have a strong influence on them
when they are with you.
You do not like to depend on others, but you hold on to your friends, for they are usually
pleased to help you when you need it. You are willing to help close friends who are deserving,
but only if you know that your efforts will be appreciated.
You often prefer to work alone. However, this is not your only choice, for you adapt well to
working with people as long as you are free to express yourself. With a first-house Sun, there is
a tendency to overestimate your own worth, but through repeated contacts with others you will
inevitably come to a more realistic appraisal of your abilities and potential.
Mercury Conjunct Ascendant
Mercury conjunct the Ascendant shows that you are intensely preoccupied with yourself. You
probably start your conversation with I more often than most people do.
Your mental faculties are well-developed, and for the most part you are bright and witty, so your
incessant use of personal pronouns may be tolerated. You are mentally impulsive and rarely give
anyone the chance to answer your questions. You are not afraid to speak up when you know you are
right, but the fact is, you are not always right. When your views are criticized, you become
indignant and argumentative.
Neptune Conjunct Ascendant
The conjunction of Neptune to the Ascendant shows that you are very sensitive and perhaps
psychic. Your grip on the real world is loose; you need to grasp it more firmly.
You are so physically sensitive to the injustices you observe in society that they can easily
make you ill. Because your environment has such a powerful effect, you should try to make some
contribution to relieve your anxieties about allowing these negative conditions to exist.
You are sympathetic toward the oppressed, understanding of the emotionally disturbed, and
forgiving to those who seem guiltless in their transgressions against society.
You easily become distraught over conditions you are powerless to do anything about, and your

to external events always changing and adjusting to the situation.
Memory is strong and of a pictorial nature. The mind, however, is liable to become too subjective
and shallow with an overemphasis on superficial learning and with little practical use or lacking

which could be successfully applied to such pursuits as writing and poetry. Physically, the Moon
will give you an intensely active life full of changes, mobility and fluctuations.
