The effect of this influence is to free you from being so involved in the kinds of mundane concerns that have dominated your life thus far - paying bills and taxes, making appointments and such. This influence signifies changes that allow you to put your entire life in perspective and to relate it to eternity in some way.

Your perspective is vastly increased, and you know now that this world is not all there is, which in turn causes you to alter your sense of what is really important. Life is sweet, but you also understand that there is something beyond. You can enjoy life for what it is and yet not be so attached to it that you fall prey to its little illusions and snares. From 20 June 2013 until 29 June 2013: This is usually a very favorable influence. It gives your emotions a great deal of power, so that you feel them much more emphatically and are more in touch with them. At the same time you want to establish empathetic relationships with others, to hear their problems, to help out and play a protective role toward them if possible. This influence may make you feel very sentimental about and attached to your surroundings and to familiar objects. Your past is very important to you now, and if there are events in your past that you find uncomfortable, they are likely to come up. There is often a need to confront the unconscious areas of the psyche during this time, but you should regard this as an opportunity to be healed of the wounds made by these energies from the past.

In emotional relationships, this influence can create a tension between your desire to be close to someone and the desire to be free. Be careful to give your loved ones the same freedom that you want, and do not try to be unfairly possessive of them. Also, confrontations with the unconscious aspects of yourself mentioned above can affect relationships adversely during this time. In such cases it is necessary to cultivate a sense of detachment and not become so wrapped up in your emotions that you cannot see beyond them.

This influence gives an enormous concern with social and individual justice. You are easily outraged when you see someone getting the short end of the stick, but your emotionalism may make it difficult to see a good solution to the problem. Try to avoid feeling self-righteous and intolerant. You will need to have a very open and generous point of view in order to clear up any conflicts that occur at this time, and emotionalism masquerading as righteousness will not accomplish anything useful. Jupiter opposition Saturn: Danger of misjudgment

From 23 June 2013 until 2 July 2013: With this influence it is very difficult to know exactly which direction the trends in your life are taking. Thus you must be extremely careful in your guesses, because of the danger of misjudgment.

Decisions in general are difficult during this time because you are caught in a conflict between caution and optimism. Whenever one attitude gets the upper hand in your mind, the other comes along and undermines it. Often it seems very difficult to know whether to expand or retrench. This problem will be especially bad if you have overextended yourself in the past and had to cut back. This creates a lack of self-confidence, which may surface now.

You may also experience a conflict at this time between the desire for greater freedom and opportunity and the desire to hold on to the safe and predictable circumstances that you are used to. Often the temptation is to break away from everything and start over without the weight of the past holding you back, so you think. The restlessness resulting from this conflict can cause you to make many significant changes in your life. Relationships are also frequently difficult, especially those that involve much responsibility. Casual relationships and friendships are less likely to suffer.

However, if you are basically satisfied with your life and you don't feel that your duties and obligations are onerous, you should experience the positive side of this influence, which is actually quite considerable. This is a time when you can expand the structures in your life to include much more than ever before.

Jupiter conjunction Descendant: Mutual growth

Beginning of September 2013 until mid-May 2014: During this period you seek to grow in various ways through your closest contacts with other people. You try to create relationships that will further your life, not in a spirit of selfishness, but in a desire for mutual growth. Often at this time a person will come into your life who offers to help you out in some way, usually through a partnership.

In any kind of business, for example, this is an extremely good time to enter into a partnership or a contract with someone. In your personal life, you will work more closely than usual with someone, which will work out very well for you both. If other indications are compatible, you may meet someone who will be important to you romantically, but that is not the usual result of this influence.

This is also an excellent time to seek out someone for counseling, especially a lawyer, but also any other kind of counselor. Related to this, incidentally, is that if you have a case in court at this time, it will work out as you want it to.

A marriage or intimate relationship should work better than usual now. You and your partner will be anxious to help each other grow and to further each other's interests in all possible ways. You do not want to restrict your partner or be restricted by him in any possible way. Because you understand the need for freedom of individual self-expression within your relationship, you will try to find ways to bring that about. If your relationship is not working out very well in general, this influence can have either of two effects. It can either bring a time of healing in the relationship so that it ceases to be such a problem, or it can make your desire for freedom so strong that you break off the relationship altogether. At any rate, the problems themselves will cease. And a relationship that does break up under this influence (this only applies to one that is on the rocks) will do so relatively amicably.

You will make great, even extraordinary, efforts to gain success as you personally define it. You work harder and strive to gain your objective with every ounce of energy at your disposal. Consequently, this influence often occurs just at the moment when some tremendous effort in your life bears fruit.

Sometimes there is a tremendous drive to gain power, and this influence can bring you power even when you are not trying especially hard to get it. Remember that each person has opportunities for a different kind of power. It may be great or relatively humble in terms of the larger society, but it will be meaningful to you.

This power drive is sufficiently strong that it is difficult to deny, even if it has absolutely no outlet. In that case you are likely to get into some kind of conflict with authorities, even to the extent of arrest. If your ambition becomes the irresistible force against an immovable society, you will probably be the loser. Therefore you must scan your life to find areas where you can let this energy manifest itself. Surely in some area of your life you can better yourself and achieve something that would bring you recognition and respect. This is true no matter how depressed you think you are or how downtrodden your circumstances. If you put all your energy into working on that, it is quite likely that you will accomplish what you want.

The dominant drive of this influence is self-betterment, but each individual has to define that term for herself. You can work in that direction now, and how well you succeed depends largely on what you mean by betterment. Unfortunately, for some people it means simply money or power. If you are one of them, throughout this period you will act as if obsessed, and indeed, power can become a fanatical preoccupation. Other people may become obsessed by an idea, usually concerning righteousness or morality. This also carries the danger that you will lose track of all normal human values and try to live with a distorted set of standards or concerns.

Jupiter sextile Jupiter: In good working order

Mid-September 2013 until end of May 2014: This is a time of balance and equilibrium in your life, when all your affairs seem to run smoothly and without much effort on your part. It is a time when you can relax and take it easy for a while, knowing that your life is in good working order. This is also a time when growth seems to occur without much effort - growth in consciousness, in your social life or wherever you feel that personal growth is important.

But this is not really a time when you should just enjoy yourself. You should do that, to be sure, but you should also be examining your life to see what needs to be done. It is important to think this way now because the equilibrium that is characteristic of this period enables you to look about yourself with reasonable calm and detachment. It is much harder to achieve a perspective when you are in the middle of some major and possibly chaotic change.

This is a good time to achieve perspective in all possible senses of the word. It is a good time for education, either formal or informal, for getting in touch with yourself through self-awareness studies, or for seeing the larger world through travel.

Business transactions or negotiations are also favored now. Legal affairs also usually run quite smoothly.
