Mid-January 2013 until mid-November 2014: This is a time of creative change in your relationships. You have the opportunity to be either the agent of the changes or the object of them. Probably you will be both to some extent.

On the other hand you may experience an increase in personal power with this influence. You will have the chance to exert an influence on others either because you are in a position of some power or because your own personal vibration influences people and changes their lives. However, it is important to use this power for the general good, because it does not adapt well to purely egoistic purposes.

During this time you will seek a higher quality and greater intensity in all your experiences. You are not even remotely attracted to superficial qualities, either in people or in experiences. You need to feel with every ounce of your emotion that every encounter changes you at the deepest core of your being.

To this end you may draw people to you who are very intense and who have a very strong effect upon your mind. However, with this influence these relationships are usually quite constructive rather than difficult. Even under the best of conditions, some of what you learn about yourself may not be very pleasant until you learn to accept it, but it usually isn't so bad, even if you think it is.

Under any circumstances the overall effect of these encounters is to broaden your self- understanding and increase your capacity for complete self-expression. Jupiter opposition Venus: Lavish tastes

From 31 May 2013 until 9 June 2013: This is usually a very pleasant influence, indicating harmony in relationships and perhaps even a new relationship that will be of great significance in your life. You want love very much, and you are able to give it to those around you.

This influence encourages a taste for the lavish and beautiful, and you are not likely to let much stand in the way of what you want. Therefore you must be careful not to waste valuable resources and squander money. If you are cautious, it is possible to make excellent investments at this time, but only if you examine all of the possibilities very carefully. This influence has the negative attribute of carelessness, so you must concentrate on being careful.

On the physical level, this influence signifies the danger of gaining weight, because it stimulates your desire for rich, sweet and otherwise fattening foods. It may be necessary to avoid such food for awhile.

Jupiter opposition Pluto: Just that problem

From 5 June 2013 until 13 June 2013: This period can represent the culmination of a long drive for success or power. However, it is very important that you proceed with caution, because the forces opposing you are likely to be strong, unless you make a special effort to placate them. This can be a time when you get a promotion in your work or gain power in some other way to change and affect the lives of those around you. But it can also be a time when all your efforts come to nothing, and you find yourself losing out in a perpetual war with people in power.

Sometimes this influence can stimulate a rather ruthless desire to get ahead. Most of us are tempted to cut corners, but that can have very unfortunate consequences, for this influence can indicate trouble with the law or even arrest. In fact you should do as little as possible to arouse the authorities against you, because this influence is so likely to create just that problem.

Another problem can be obsessive or fanatical behavior, feeling that you alone are right about some matter to the point that you are unwilling to hear any other point of view. Avoid becoming totally convinced of your own righteousness, and do not try to force your own views upon others. Your ideas may in fact be quite good, but your problem comes from the style you would be likely to use. You must try to be open to other points of view and be able to compromise.

It is also possible that you may try to coerce someone into doing something that he or she doesn't want to do, or someone may try to coerce you. You can avoid the negative side of this influence if you have built up your affairs carefully and enlisted the aid of others in your efforts, making them understand that you are also working for their interest. And even if you are encountering the negative effects, it is not too late to enlist other people's aid. You may have to enlarge your personal goals to encompass a group's goals, but it can be done.

Jupiter sextile Ascendant: Efforts with friends

Beginning of August 2013 until beginning of April 2014: This is usually an extremely fortunate influence for all kinds of social contacts. You will benefit through others, and they will probably benefit through you. If you choose to go it alone at this time, you will waste a valuable opportunity, for you will profit tremendously from team efforts with friends. Also you will have opportunities to work on projects that may be to your personal advantage; these will come from persons you encounter every day at work or around your neighborhood, people from whom you do not expect much beyond the usual social exchanges.

At this time you will have the opportunity to expand your contacts with the larger world. Sometimes this influence is a sign of travel, but certainly you will encounter people whose backgrounds are quite different from yours and whose experience will increase your understanding of the world. Several of these people may become permanent friends whom you will benefit from knowing.

You may also benefit from old friends. You may be offered a chance to go into business with a friend, or a friend may tell you about a good chance to get ahead in some way.

At the same time, you feel benevolent and well disposed to your friends and acquaintances. You are willing and able to help those who need it, and generally you display an attitude of supportive kindness to the people around you, for you don't want to see people in trouble.

This basic willingness to give and to help others enables you to receive much from others as well. People sense that you will conduct all transactions fairly, so they are willing to be fair to you. Actually this is always true, but you are more able to see it at this time.

Jupiter trine Uranus: Split-second action

Beginning of August 2013 until beginning of April 2014: This influence gives you a strong need to express yourself by doing something that is different from your normal routine. You need to experience a new kind of freedom in your life and to discover dimensions of living that you have not known before. This may take the form of a search for inner truth on the metaphysical or philosophical level, or it may take the more external form of a new activity in your life.

You are much more receptive to new ideas during this time, and you should be a bit careful about getting into something solely because it is a novelty. However, for the most part this desire for the new is constructive and will probably be quite good for you. This is an influence that prevents you in a positive way from getting into a rut.

Sometimes this influence can denote a sudden opportunity or a piece of good luck that seems to come completely out of the blue and take you by surprise. Often it is a sudden change or an event that gives you a new chance in some way. It could be a sudden windfall or promotion or even a sudden chance encounter that works out to your benefit. If such an event occurs, take advantage of it. This is one of the few times when you shouldn't stop to ponder carefully before acting. Such a decision often requires split-second action.

This is also one of the few influences that can be very lucky in gambling. But remember that it will have this effect only if you are reasonably fortunate in such matters anyway. If you are usually unlucky at gambling, this influence will probably not affect you positively.

This influence also enables you to grasp new ideas quickly. You can learn subjects faster now than at other times, and you see very quickly the patterns in anything. On occasion this influence can signify a fortunate discovery or invention.

Jupiter conjunction Moon: Emotionally secure

End of August 2013 until beginning of May 2014: This is an extremely positive time. You feel emotionally secure and in touch with your feelings, which you can express clearly and honestly, both to yourself and to others. At the same time you have an enormous feeling of generosity, which enables you to give to others much more freely than usual without feeling diminished in any way. This influence relates to the nurturing function within you, the desire to protect and care for as well as the desire to be supported. You can nurture another at this time, or if you need help yourself, you will get it.

Your home and personal life are very important to you during this time, and you will work to make this area as positive as possible. You may simply make your home more comfortable and elegant, or on a more psychological level you may bring friends and neighbors to your home in order to make them feel good, as well as yourself.

At this time you will realize how your past has positively contributed to your present situation, and you will want to be surrounded by things that remind you of your past. This is a good time to go home and see old friends and loved ones.

Regardless of your own sex, you may receive some benefit from a woman who offers to help or care for you in some way. Often her function in your life will be to reveal to you what is within and to make you more self-sufficient. This person could even be a man, but he would affect you in a maternal way.

About the only negative side of this influence comes from its symbolic connection with nutrition and digestion. Psychologically, you are in a period of incorporation and assimilation, of taking into yourself whatever can nourish and support you. Obviously the physical correlate of this is gaining weight, which can happen if you are not careful. Fatty foods are especially difficult, so try to avoid them.
