Neptune opposition Mars: Dubious opportunities

Beginning of May 2012 until beginning of December 2014: During this time, be careful not to get yourself involved, wittingly or unwittingly, in any kind of bogus enterprise. This influence can mean "deceitful actions," and it may involve you in such acts either as the victim or as the perpetrator of some swindle. To avoid becoming a victim, you should scrutinize with great care all seeming "opportunities" that come up now and stay away altogether from any speculative or high-risk ventures. With regard to the second danger, you should avoid perpetrating any kind of swindle, not only because it is unethical, but because you are not likely to succeed. Schemes do not usually work out as anticipated during this time.

You should not plan to launch new activities during this period. Because your energy level is low, you can't put the necessary energy into a new project to make it work out as you want. This influence can produce a crisis of self-confidence, resulting either from personal defeats by others or from a totally unpredictable and irrational spell of depression. Consequently you will find it hard to continue with projects that require great exertion. It would be best to avoid starting any new projects at this time, and you should try to maneuver yourself into a position in which you don't have to do anything critical. But above all, don't take these feelings of defeat too seriously; you are just going through a period of low energy. There is no reason to contemplate giving up, because very soon you will be back to your old level of competence. The only permanent effect of this influence is that you may learn to have a more realistic understanding of your limitations and to be more conservative with your energies.

Uranus conjunction MC: Revolt

End of March 2013 until end of February 2014: With this influence you can look for sudden changes in the way you define your individuality before the world. This will be reflected in your profession, your social position and your reputation in the eyes of others. These changes can allow you to break free and encounter life with new freedom and readiness for fresh experience. But they can also be profoundly upsetting, depending on your orientation toward your public life. If your public and professional life is a source of achievement and satisfaction, it is unlikely to be damaged by this influence, only broadened and made more challenging. But if there is tension in your public life and you feel that you have had to surrender your individuality for your achievements, this influence may be more upsetting.

If you are working in an area that is generally good for your overall development, this time may present sudden opportunities for advancement, especially if you work in a field such as science, technology, astrology or the occult. You will have the opportunity to do new kinds of work, to work with new techniques, and to have new experiences. There may be a sudden promotion to a position with new responsibilities. Whatever happens will make it possible for you to stay alive and feel fulfilled in your profession.

From 28 June 2013 until 6 July 2013: With this influence it is very important that you keep your affairs from getting out of hand. There is a strong tendency to excess, which may make it impossible to keep up with whatever you are involved in, simply because it is more than you can handle. Be particularly careful concerning financial matters, for you are likely to spend without thinking, confident that there is an abundance of money or other resources to back you up. You may not notice the pinch immediately, but shortly after this period you may experience shortages that will be severely exacerbated if you spend money foolishly now.

But money is not the only area of concern. You may be overcommitted to projects that demand more time than you really have. So in every area of your life, make sure that you really have the time or resources to do what you have set out to do. Do not overestimate the resources at your disposal.

If you avoid that pitfall, this can be a very fruitful influence, because it gives you more confidence and optimism and allows you to undertake projects that you would ordinarily be reluctant to take on. Also your basically positive attitude helps to ensure that your affairs will turn out the way you want.

Under this influence some persons experience a kind of ego inflation in which they have delusions of grandeur or overestimate their self-importance. This can lead to arrogant behavior and inflated pride with little or no real substance behind it.

What this influence does is test your sense of proportion. You have to know what you really can and cannot do and who you really are. Insofar as you fulfill those conditions, this influence will give you apparent luck and greater power to achieve.

From 4 July 2013 until 13 July 2013: This is usually a very favorable influence. It gives your emotions a great deal of power, so that you feel them much more emphatically and are more in touch with them. At the same time you want to establish empathetic relationships with others, to hear their problems, to help out and play a protective role toward them if possible. This influence may make you feel very sentimental about and attached to your surroundings and to familiar objects. Your past is very important to you now, and if there are events in your past that you find uncomfortable, they are likely to come up. There is often a need to confront the unconscious areas of the psyche during this time, but you should regard this as an opportunity to be healed of the wounds made by these energies from the past.

In emotional relationships, this influence can create a tension between your desire to be close to someone and the desire to be free. Be careful to give your loved ones the same freedom that you want, and do not try to be unfairly possessive of them. Also, confrontations with the unconscious aspects of yourself mentioned above can affect relationships adversely during this time. In such cases it is necessary to cultivate a sense of detachment and not become so wrapped up in your emotions that you cannot see beyond them.

This influence gives an enormous concern with social and individual justice. You are easily outraged when you see someone getting the short end of the stick, but your emotionalism may make it difficult to see a good solution to the problem. Try to avoid feeling self-righteous and intolerant. You will need to have a very open and generous point of view in order to clear up any conflicts that occur at this time, and emotionalism masquerading as righteousness will not accomplish anything useful. Instead, take advantage of the ample positive side of this energy by helping those who need it. Protect the people you can protect and succor those who have been hurt. Magnanimity is just as much in accordance with the meaning of this influence as are extreme emotionalism and self-righteousness.

Beginning of August 2013 until mid-March 2014: During this period you will try to achieve something of significance in your work or career. You will not find it sufficient to continue as you have, and your ambition will become more powerful than usual. This can be either good or bad in the long run, depending upon how you go about getting ahead. On the positive side, this influence helps you overcome your previous limitations, which were caused largely by fear and lack of confidence. Now you feel capable of greater achievements and willing to work for them. This influence usually creates great optimism and self-confidence, but you must be careful that it does not become overconfidence. Your life will not take care of itself if you neglect the important details of daily existence. Do not let your seemingly more important present concerns cause you to neglect these other aspects of your life.

But this influence can also signify an inflated ego, a state of mind in which you attribute to yourself powers and talents far beyond your actual abilities. In rare and extreme cases, a person may think of himself as godlike. But for most people this is expressed simply as overestimation of one's talents. Be careful not to take on more than you can handle. End of September 2013 until end of May 2014: During this period you feel good and project warm positive energies out into the world. This in turn affects your relationships very positively and enables you to encounter people who can be good for you precisely because you are good for them. In all personal and professional transactions with others you will give and receive in equal measure.

Personal relationships expand under this influence. If you have been living in a relatively small circle of friends and acquaintances, you will expand your circle and meet people whom you wouldn't ordinarily, possibly including the rich and famous or people in power. Just be careful that you don't become involved with these people for superficial reasons; make sure that you can grow through them. The fact that a person is socially significant may not have any relevance to your relationship.

The basis for all this is that in a very real sense you are growing and taking more and more of the outer world into your personal sphere. You are trying to include more of the world in your experience. Properly handled, this process can make you a much wiser and more mature individual. Your view of life should expand, and you should become increasingly tolerant of the wide differences among people in the world. You have the opportunity to become a woman of the world to a much greater extent.

At this time, you should be careful not to assume arrogant airs or to think that you are better than you are.
