If you have the opportunity, you may be able to accomplish something quite extraordinary, at least in terms of your normal expectations. The changes you make at this time and the tasks that you undertake will broaden your horizons, and this enables you to do more than usual. Along with this is the fact that during this time you may become involved in something that is quite unprecedented in your life, which will have this same broadening affect.

Pluto square Mars: A fierce spirit

End of February 2012 until beginning of October 2014: This influence can have considerable dangers if you do not handle it properly. Its great energies can be used for constructive effort, however, through which you can accomplish a great deal. The problem is that it arouses ego energies either in you directly or in another person who can affect you, which can be very difficult if the energies are frustrated.

If you are affected directly, this influence can stimulate your ambitions and make you want to get ahead at any cost. Positively, this gives you the ability to work incredibly hard for long hours to achieve your objectives. In fact, if you are not careful, you can work so hard that you become physically exhausted, leaving yourself open to illnesses and physical breakdown. You hardly feel fatigue and weariness until it is too late. Use your tremendous energy, but be sure not to overdo it!

A much more dangerous possibility, however, is that you might work toward your personal ends - success, power, fame or whatever - without any regard for those around you. You may pay no attention to people who disagree with you, whether they oppose you outright or whether they think you are wrong and are trying to set you right. You will lose the benefit of potentially good advice from those who would help you, and you will win the undying hatred of your opponents. Enemies you make at this time will eventually have the power to damage you, even if they don't have it now.

There is some danger of accidents under this influence, almost always because of frustrated energy within you. Obviously the solution is to express any anger and resentment that you feel and communicate with the people who are important to you about your feelings. Also avoid any situation in which you are exposed to unnecessary risks, for here again the energy may come out in some undesirable way.

Saturn sextile MC: Cautious action

Mid-November 2012 until end of August 2013: During this time you will work to establish yourself more solidly in the eyes of the world, your community and your friends.

Inwardly you are able to arrive at a clearer idea of who you are now and how you measure up to your own expectations and those of the community. Your goals and expectations may be set rather high at this time, so you should be careful not to set yourself a task that is beyond you, or worse, one that you don't really want to undertake. Under this influence you are powerfully directed by your early conditioning about duty, responsibility and obligation toward others, and therefore you are quite likely to pursue a course of action to fulfill what you think others expect of you, rather than one that is appropriate to you.

This time is usually marked by cautious action. You are just getting the feel of managing your life, and you do not want to upset everything now. You are anxious for material achievements that others can recognize and that you can point to as if to say, "This is what I have accomplished."

During this time you work best by yourself, but you are conscious of how your work fits into a larger scheme involving other people. It is just that you prefer not to manage others as well as yourself at this time.

Beginning of April 2013 until beginning of March 2014: This influence calls forth very potent energies that can be quite disruptive, but they must be handled. Any effort to sidestep the issues that this influence raises could be disastrous, because it represents explosive forces that may break out in any area of your life.

On the psychological level, you may be much more irritable than usual and prone to outbursts of anger. Conditions in your life that you have put up with for years, even though they are wrong, now become intolerable. You simply will not allow them to continue. Even limitations imposed from without that always seemed quite reasonable now seem completely impossible to bear.

What you are feeling is the need to assert your individuality against all the forces that have been blocking its expression in the past. You want to be yourself and have your individuality recognized for what it is, not for what others expect it to be. You want to do things immediately that you have never done before.

With some degree of care and moderation, this energy can be used quite creatively. It is imperative that you release the tensions you are feeling now. Suppressing this energy will only lead to worse problems.

Beginning of August 2013 until end of March 2014: This influence gives you a great deal of confidence and makes you feel very self-assertive. Usually this is all right, but some people will express this energy by becoming arrogant and domineering. Also be wary of overconfidence, resulting in attempts to do things that are simply beyond you.

Intemperance in almost any activity could completely undo the basically positive nature of this influence. Avoid exaggeration and try to maintain some sense of proportion. If you can do all of this, you will be able to get more work done than usual, and you will do it well. You will be able to accomplish things that you are usually afraid to tackle because you feel inadequate, and you can take the initiative when you would otherwise wait for others to take the lead.

With care and planning and adequate restraint, this influence is a general sign of fortunately timed action that takes advantage of the proper moment and makes the most of it. And this is not luck on your part, but insight and skill. All of this requires preparation, however, because impulsive actions at this time are not likely to be very effective.

It may be particularly important to placate persons in authority. If you act precipitately, they may become alarmed and think of you as a threat, whether or not you intend to be. Of course, if you do consciously intend to be a threat, this influence could be a help, assuming again that you have planned carefully.
