Beginning of November 2012 until beginning of August 2013: This influence can have two different effects. Either you will succeed in making your life an original statement of your uniqueness, or you will be in a state of extreme tension because of forces that are constantly obstructing your self-expression. Most people experience the latter effect, at least in part. From time to time almost everyone settles into patterns that are quite rigid and inappropriate to themselves.

All around you are persons whom you are involved with and structures that you created, representing your efforts to build order and predictability into your life. But you are not a static organism, and you need creative change to keep you alive. At this time you are likely to feel that your life structures are oppressive. The most structured aspects of your life, such as your job, your marriage and relationships and your daily routine, are all potential sources of trouble, insofar as they have become dull routines.

You are irritated by people who try to tell you what to do. You feel that you have had enough, and you may be tempted to throw everything away and leave. This influence very often breaks up marriages and other relationships that have become dull, oppressive and routine. However, even the best relationships may have to be substantially redefined at this time. Don't try to sit back, grin and bear it. Some steps obviously have to be taken, but the trick is to take them calmly and not fly off the handle. It is necessary only to make changes, not to wreck everything.

The readjustments you make now can go a long way toward making your life more interesting. Achieving a balance between order, discipline and predictability on the one side and and original experience on the other is one of the greatest challenges in life.

Saturn trine Saturn: Inner stability

Beginning of November 2012 until beginning of August 2013: At this time you can incorporate into yourself the fruits of previous successes, look them over and appreciate them for what they were. The key idea is that you are in a position to understand your life and therefore better able to be in conscious control of it. This is not merely an intellectual understanding, it is born of experience. You have lived through certain things, and now you can proceed on the basis of that understanding.

Your public and social life will run smoothly at this time. Relationships, which reflect what you are, are also more stable at this time because of your own inner stability.

Your outlook on life has also reached a point of equilibrium. You have a good understanding of how you look at life, and it works well enough that you may not question it very much. The problem is that this is not a time of testing, so you don't know how well your ideas will stand up to future crisis. You only know how well they withstood past tests. But the future is always different, and what happens in the future depends upon what is true at that time. Therefore you must keep your mind open and flexible. You only know what you know, and that is not everything. Continue to examine yourself and see what could be improved. Even if your life is satisfactory now, it may not always be.

Neptune conjunction Saturn: Temporarily disoriented

Mid-March 2013 until mid-January 2015: Under this influence you will discover that in many ways your view of the world isn't at all correct. This may occur through a series of obvious disappointments, or it may take place more subtly through an increasing sense of anxiety that has no obvious cause. Fear and loss of self-confidence are two of the most difficult effects of this influence. You may suddenly become afraid for almost no reason at all, and you may fear things that are not at all threatening to others. It is as if you were becoming disoriented.

This is the "dark night of the soul" referred to by mystics, the period of confusion that precedes the understanding that you can live with a reality that is different from what you had thought. At the highest level this influence can be a prelude to enlightenment, understanding the true nature of the "illusion" we call reality.

In most cases, however, this transit influence means that your concept of reality is changing, which begins with the dissolution of your old concepts, leaving you temporarily disoriented. The best way to handle this period is to get into comfortable surroundings and reduce the stress level in your life as much as possible. Stress will only prolong the confusion. Try to avoid making any decisions, because you are not in a very good frame of mind for seeing things clearly. Avoid people who seem difficult or demoralizing. You need to be in a calm position so that you can see what new truths emerge from the fog and confusion. And they will emerge.

Jupiter square Ascendant: On the lookout

From 2 June 2013 until 11 June 2013: This is usually an excellent time for most kinds of relationships, but there are some pitfalls. Basically this influence signifies a desire to grow and advance through contacts with others. Probably you are willing to give as much as you get, although in some people this influence triggers a desire for advantages through others without giving anything in return. In fact as they get ahead, such people act arrogantly toward everyone, even those who helped them. This causes others to reject them, and when they hit hard times there is no one to help them out.

But this result is totally unnecessary, and all you have to do to avoid it is to keep a sense of humility and recognize what others have done for you. With this influence you have the potential to become a truly better person, but only if you keep these warnings in mind.

Quite frequently this influence brings a seemingly "lucky" chance through a friend or associate. But it is not luck so much as the fact that you are very sharply on the lookout for opportunities that can benefit you. Your sense of timing is very acute, and your sensitivity to others and their needs is greater than usual. That is one reason why it is so bad to ignore others' needs, because you don't even have the excuse of ignorance.

Benefits can come to you in either your personal and domestic life or in your public life. There may be an opportunity to make money or to make improvements in your home that will make it much more pleasant. Or you may meet people who will help you learn more about the world and expand your view of it in various ways. You have to be willing to let this happen, however, which means you must be receptive. This is another area in which being arrogant brings the risk that you will get nothing of lasting value out of this period.

Jupiter square Sun: A matter of self-control

From 23 July 2013 until 2 August 2013: This can be an excellent time, but you must watch out for some pitfalls that could undo all the benefits. Basically this influence is a test of your discipline and self-restraint. If you are not a restrained person, you will react to this influence by going overboard in some way, overextending yourself or living in a fool's paradise where you think nothing can go wrong. Or you might squander a valuable resource, only to find on another day that you do not have enough of what you need. Sometimes there is a feeling that luck will provide everything that you need without any effort on your part, but this, too, is a false notion.

But this time can also provide a chance for real growth and expanded opportunities. It is a matter of how much control you have over yourself. You have to know precisely where you are and what your real needs are in order to take the most advantage of this time. You also have to know when you can't handle anything more. Knowing when to stop is the real trick.

Sometimes this influence encourages ego inflation and excessive pride. Be careful not to act in an overbearing manner, for you will set people in motion who will try to knock you down a peg or two. Here too, you must know where to stop.

Under certain conditions this influence can trigger conflict with the law or with someone else in a court of law. You may or may not lose, but don't act the role of outraged honor and dignity. Try to find out exactly what the problem is and arrive at a solution that is satisfactory to all.

Beginning of September 2013 until mid-May 2014: Usually you will feel very good with this influence, quite optimistic and generous. You will be concerned about the welfare of those around you and will want to protect the people you love. At this time you will attract favorable circumstances and resources with little effort, which will seem very pleasant now. But you should not expect this to keep on happening indefinitely. In particular, people may come after you to meet you for some reason, and these people could be quite beneficial to you in business or personal affairs. Regardless of your own sex, you may very well benefit from women during this time.

In some people this influence may stimulate an interest in religious and spiritual thought, but your views would be more strongly concerned with ethics and morality than with a more mystical approach to religion.

At the very least you can expect to feel quite good at this time, and even if nothing tremendous comes out of it, you will have a feeling of satisfaction and of being at peace with yourself.
