Mid-November 2012 until end of August 2013: During this time you may have to contend with negative moods that can be quite upsetting. This influence often results in confusion, self- doubt, uncertainty and a general tendency to look at life from the worst possible point of view. At its worst, it can make you completely uncertain about what is real in your life, resulting in a sense of fear and free-floating anxiety. However, it is important to remember that this influence usually makes things appear worse than they actually are.

Your confidence and sense of well-being are at a low at this time, and you should not take your own gloomy evaluations too seriously. You seem to be aware of only those facets of life that you are afraid of and totally unaware of those things that can comfort and reinforce you.

Strange as it may seem, there is a constructive side to this period, although most people usually experience the negative side. But if you are very well attuned to your inner needs and secure enough not to be led astray by illusions, even fearful ones, then this influence can give you the ability to make extraordinary self-sacrifices. One effect of this period is to detach you from the material universe. In that case you may become disoriented and afraid, as described already, or you may find that the demands of the material universe no longer concern you particularly, and you can sacrifice your material needs to spiritual needs.

Beginning of April 2013 until beginning of February 2015: This influence signifies encounters that cause various aspects of your life to be transformed. Most commonly, this transformation will take the form of disappearances of persons, circumstances or even possessions that you have become used to. You will also encounter forces that try to reveal aspects of your life that you have long kept hidden from yourself. Initially you will probably resist these revelations, believing that they cannot teach you anything very constructive. An influence like this often reveals aspects of ourselves that we have been taught to consider evil or at least negative. These aspects are often a source of positive energy, but because we refuse to acknowledge them, that energy is wasted and is usually out of our control. There will be much psychological compulsiveness at this time, but the less you resist facing yourself, the less difficulty you will have.

On another level you will be shown a spiritual dimension of your existence that can immensely broaden your life and experience, if you are willing to look at it. This dimension may seem so far beyond your ordinary life that you will consider it impossible to accept, but this knowledge is necessary for your growth.

On a practical level, avoid taking at face value any new encounters with persons or circumstances. Even when persons are not trying to deceive you, they may do so unintentionally, because you won't immediately understand what they are really showing you. Until you have arrived at this level of understanding, simply adopt a waiting attitude and commit yourself to as little as possible.

A transit approaching its end, 28 April 2013, remaining 7 May 2013: This is such a pleasant influence that you may be inclined to sit back, enjoy it and do nothing. However, this is really a very important time in your life because you can reach out into new areas of life and have new and rewarding experiences. Your creative potential is enormous at this time, and you can very easily accomplish a great deal that would be difficult at other times. Your inner energies are strong, and you are full of self-confidence and the feeling that you can do anything.

This influence usually indicates good health and a feeling of well-being, although you may be inclined to put on weight if you are not careful. You may not feel inclined toward physical activity, but it would be a good idea to get some exercise. Make a particular effort to be outdoors. Hiking is a very beneficial activity at this time.

If you are inclined to physical activity, especially athletics, don't take foolish risks through overconfidence. This influence tends to make you overestimate your energies.

This is an excellent time for all financial matters. You will feel like making your surroundings appear more elegant, and you may spend quite a lot of money doing so. This is perfectly fine, and you should think positively in all ways, but don't let this concern with material acquisition blind you to some very real possibilities for inner growth.

Travel, either physically or mentally, often accompanies this influence. Take this time to broaden your understanding of the world around you. Beginning of May 2013 until mid-February 2015: This influence is a chance to examine your life and to see within it the seeds for something greater than you have imagined. This greatness is not in the material realm, nor will it give you power over others. Instead your opportunity is to see your life in a spiritual dimension that you have never before perceived. This can manifest itself in a number of ways.

First of all, you may discover an increased empathy for the people in your everyday life. You can put yourself into another's place in a way that you have never been able to do before; you can see and, more importantly, feel what someone else feels. Consequently you will have more sympathy and compassion for other people's problems.

Your compassion springs from a realization of the essential unity of yourself and all being. For most people, this is not an entirely conscious realization. You may feel an increased involvement with others, but you don't quite know where it has come from. On the other hand, this can be a conscious feeling, in which case you may become more attracted to mystical philosophies and metaphysics, which try to verbalize what you are beginning to experience. You may experience a reawakened interest in religion, even if this has long been dormant in your life. Possibly you may even have a profound psychic or mystical experience.

Even if by temperament you are not inclined to mysticism, you will experience its effects as increased idealism and an increased willingness to work for the kind of world you want to see.

Whatever else may happen, you will feel more capable of selfless actions in your relationships with others. You will be willing to help, seeking little or nothing in return because your own ego seems less important to you now.

Neptune opposition Venus: Obscure problems

Beginning of May 2013 until beginning of December 2015: During this time, love relationships, especially, may cause problems because either you or your partner has an unrealistic attitude about the relationship. Disillusionment and disappointment are the likely result when the romantic cloud lifts and the truth about the relationship becomes clear. All of us idealize a new lover to a certain extent, for that is part of the normal process of falling in love. But this influence indicates that the problem can be much more severe because of your unwillingness to accept reality as it is. You are inclined to look for partners and relationships that can help you escape from the humdrum, everyday world into a magical world of fantasy and beautiful illusions. But unfortunately you must pick your partner from the human race, and the people who can truly fulfill this kind of dream are extremely rare. So you create a beautiful image in your imagination and pretend that a specific person fits the image. And you are likely to persist, even though everyone can see, even you if you open your eyes, that your loved one is not what you fantasize. This is the most extreme manifestation of this influence, and it is not an uncommon reaction.

This influence can create other kinds of relationship difficulties as well, such as obscure problems within an existing relationship. For example, you may find it difficult to communicate with your partner, or one of you may do something behind the other's back, thus undermining your mutual confidence.

The most useful effect of this influence is that it stimulates the creative imagination. In fact, every illusion or delusion is really only a misuse of creative imagination or a confusion of imagination with truth. If you can keep truth and imagination separate you will derive great benefit from this period, especially if you are intrinsically creative. Artistic creativity is heightened by this influence, and even your relationships can be more interesting, if you don't lose sight of their real nature.

Jupiter square Ascendant: On the lookout

From 13 May 2013 until 22 May 2013: This is usually an excellent time for most kinds of relationships, but there are some pitfalls. Basically this influence signifies a desire to grow and advance through contacts with others. Probably you are willing to give as much as you get, although in some people this influence triggers a desire for advantages through others without giving anything in return. In fact as they get ahead, such people act arrogantly toward everyone, even those who helped them. This causes others to reject them, and when they hit hard times there is no one to help them out.

But this result is totally unnecessary, and all you have to do to avoid it is to keep a sense of humility and recognize what others have done for you. With this influence you have the potential to become a truly better person, but only if you keep these warnings in mind.

Quite frequently this influence brings a seemingly "lucky" chance through a friend or associate. But it is not luck so much as the fact that you are very sharply on the lookout for opportunities that can benefit you. Your sense of timing is very acute, and your sensitivity to others and their needs is greater than usual. That is one reason why it is so bad to ignore others' needs, because you don't even have the excuse of ignorance.

Benefits can come to you in either your personal and domestic life or in your work. There may be an opportunity to make money or to make improvements in your home that will make it much more pleasant. Or you may meet people who will help you learn more about the world and expand your view of it in various ways. You have to be willing to let this happen, however, which means you must be receptive. This is another area in which being arrogant brings the risk that you will get nothing of lasting value out of this period.
