Introduction This report is a short edition of the Youth Horoscope. It is meant as a sample and advertisement for the full version of the Youth Horoscope which can be ordered from Astrodienst as a downloadable E-Horoscope of about 20 - 30 pages. In the short edition, only a few, but nevertheless important aspects of your natal chart are considered.
Leo Rising You like to be the center of attention, to appear strong, confident and dominant, even if something is bothering you. You like to be the leader, and you can be a good one as long as you remember that leadership is a responsibility as well as power and privilege. You can be stubborn, especially if your pride is involved. You are idealistic, and people have to prove to you that they have integrity. You like to have rich and elegant things that you can show off to others. But remember that just because something impresses people, it is not necessarily good. You need to learn the difference. Others may or may not see you as beautiful or handsome, but as you grow up you will develop a regal bearing that will make others feel that you are dependable. Many people will like you, and most will also respect you.
The child's horoscope by Liz Greene is especially written for parents who want to enable their children to follow their own path right from the start. This horoscope in particular shows Liz Greene's wide experience and her deep insights into the development of personality.
Sun in Sagittarius You are a fun-loving person who enjoys games. You are very spirited and energetic and need to spend a lot of time outdoors to release all your energy. Because of your strong need to feel free, you may find it difficult to put up with restrictions that adults want to impose on you. You want freedom to be friends with anyone, and you won't let others dictate to you about this. You are very curious and want to know the answer to every question that comes to mind. As you grow older, you will become interested in finding out how the universe works in the broadest terms. You are cheerful and positive, and other people will enjoy having you around.
Sun in the Fifth House Above all, you want to be yourself, and you will resist anything that tries to make you conform to a standard that you can't accept. You are quite competitive and have a lot of energy. You take life itself seriously, and you want your life to be a successful performance. Because of your strong sense of pride, you get very angry when someone insults you If you try to be the outstanding person in every group, you may get into serious conflicts with others who have the same drive. Nevertheless, because you are very forthright and open, other people will respect you. And as soon as you get over the more childish kinds of showing off, they will like you, too, because you are warm and emotionally demonstrative.
Moon in Virgo You are a rather serious but usually cheerful person. When you realize that you have to do something, you are willing to go out and do it. You like to make things, which you may become quite good at, because you are a careful worker. You are neat and like order around you at all times. It bothers you to have anything out of place. You are concerned with your health, and you follow the best health habits you know. When you are with others, you keep to yourself, for you are somewhat shy. You should learn to recognize your own merits and not be so self-critical. You like to be useful and to help other people, because it makes you feel more worthwhile. But make sure that you really want to do those favors, because if you do them unwillingly, people won't get much out of them.
Moon in the Second House You have a strong need for emotional security, which is reflected by the desire to own things. But you should be careful not to attach too much importance to what you own, because you may become selfish and possessive, especially if you feel insecure and afraid. If you feel very positive and secure, you may be generous and giving, but when you feel rash and impulsive, you tend to waste money or whatever else you have. In relationships you form strong attachments to other people, which may make you feel possessive of them. If you are willing to run the risk of losing your friends, you will actually find it easier to keep them.
Venus in Capricorn You keep your feelings under control, and at times you may find it difficult to make friends. This is because you express your feelings more seriously than most people your age. However, make sure that your relationships are not based solely on what others can do for you. You are not self-indulgent and you can control your desires quite well. You will plan very carefully how to be rather thrifty. You are at your best doing everything in moderation.
Venus in the Sixth House This placement of Venus is usually a sign of such good health that you may even be able to abuse your body somewhat and still stay healthy. You feel that love is a kind of service, and the more you can do for someone you like, the better you feel about it. However, you may not find it so easy to accept favors from your loved ones in return. You may feel that you are unworthy of being liked by others, and in that case, you should try very hard to find out in what ways you are good, likable and worthy. This placement can mean that as you get older you will choose a career in an area ruled by Venus, such as entertainment, arts or crafts, counseling, or work involving beauty or recreation.
Mars in Scorpio You have a strong will, and you let everyone know what you want. But you do not seem especially pushy, just persistent. If someone makes you angry, instead of blowing up right off, you go into a slow burn. People know you are upset, however, because you are likely to make sarcastic and biting remarks. But also the intensity of your anger, even though it is held in, may be rather frightening to others whose emotions are not as strong as yours. If necessary, you are a fighter, although you don't look for fights. But when you get into it, you fight with body and soul. You relate to the world around you very emotionally, and there is very little to which you do not react.
Mars in the Fourth House You may have difficulty getting along with one of your parents. It is very important that you discuss openly any problems that you have with each other, so that you can arrive at a real compromise. Even if you find it difficult to get along with them, they are very important to you, and you very much need their approval. This placement of Mars means that you feel a strong desire to be the person in charge in your home, which is difficult because of your age. But you should learn to get along with the people you live with, because that could be a problem in your adult home as well. One way to ease this situation is to be by yourself as much as possible.
Mars Opposition Midheaven This position can have two quite different effects. On one hand, you may be subject to compulsive desires, wanting to do things without any special reason except willfulness. Your parents should provide you with a supportive home life, where you can feel that you are accepted for yourself. If you feel confident that your family loves and accepts you, you will experience the energies of this aspect quite differently. You will determine the course of your life very directly, according to your own inner needs and impulses. You may or may not be successful in your career, but that will not be as important to you as inner satisfaction. While you are young, your parents should understand this and help you discover your own needs rather than make you conform to other people's expectations.
