Biography
Dutch royalty, born to Dutch princess Mabel, wife of Prince Johan-Friso of Orange-Nassau (the Netherlands). Because her mother, Mabel Wisse Smit, had been involved with an alleged gangster prior to marrying the prince in 2004, the government of the Netherlands did not approve the marriage. Consequently, Johan-Friso gave up any rights he might have had (he was third in line of succession) to inherit the throne.
