Biography

American baseball player who made his debut on April 5, 1974 and played his final game on October 3, 1993. Throughout his career he played for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Yount played in three All-Star Games, copping two Most Valuable Player awards in 1982 and 1989 among other awards. He is the only player to date to have made four hits in two World Series games in the same season. He accomplished the feat on October 12 and October 17, 1982.

A solid hitter, who made his 3,000th hit in 1992, and shortstop, Yount was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
