Biography
American found dead in Rome, age 20, on January 24, 2008. Her body was discovered early in the morning near the Tiber River in Rome where she had been spending the semester abroad.
A world traveler at an early age, her family had lived in Singapore when she was in middle school. She had been to Spain, England and Australia and had traveled widely in the US.. A junior at the University of South Carolina, she was in a study-abroad program, taking courses in business, Italian, and media arts. Initial investigation into her death showed no sign of foul play and an autopsy was performed.
Friends remembered her love of travel, and her active participation in the Young Life Christian fellowship programs. With a major in accounting and finance, she hoped to become an international businesswoman.
