Biography
American golfer, one of the greatest all-time money winners on the women's pro golf circuit. She became pro in 1958 and made her 25th career win in 1984.
She took up golf at 15 for exercise to lose weight when she had ballooned up to 225 lbs. As an adult, she is 5' 9", 145 lbs; politically conservative and never married.
