Biography
British world traveler born in Egypt, TV host of "Whicker's World" from 1958. A globe-trotting documentist, he featured interviews with the famous and his program was watched by more than ten million viewers. Whicker was with BBC from February 1957-68 before beginning the award-winning association with Yorkshire Television. It was calculated in the early '80s that Whicker traveled an average of 100,000 miles around the world each year. His autobiography, "Within Whicker's World" was published in March 1982.
