Biography
American actress, soap opera star whose performance as Carly Snyder on "As The World Turns" earned her several nominations for awards and a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2007. She graduated from Boston University and landed the gig on the soap opera in 1995. She left the show in May 1996 before the birth of her first child but returned in September 1997.
She and her first husband, Jonathan Knight married in 1995. Their son Benjamin was born in June 1996 and the couple divorced in 1999. On January 22, 2000, she married Scott DeFreitas and had three more children, two sons and a daughter: Joseph Peter (March 29, 2000), Katherine Marie (January 9, 2002), and Basil John (January 30, 2007).
