[Translation: The birth certificate No. 194 states that to the Protestant Kaufmann Mathias Buschmann, on 23 March 1893, at five o'clock in the afternoon, was born in his house on the market in Beeck a male child, given the name Willi Bruno. On 6 June 1910 the registrar in Beeck added to the birth certificate that the Royal Government President in Wiesbaden had on 14 May 1910 allowed Bruno Willi Buschmann from then on to replace the former name Buschmann with the family name Werntgen.]

Beeck is now part of Duisburg.
