Biography
American journalist, international correspondent and soldier-of-fortune who was the very image of a tough foreign correspondent as, throughout his career, he visited every country in the world. He traveled over two million miles and was often brought into contact with the creators of history, from Mussolini to Gandhi. In addition, in 1926, he set a record by going around the world in 28 days.
