Charles Weidman (Portrait by Carl Van Vechten, 4 Dec. 1933)


American dancer, one of the three leaders of the revolt in dance in the 1930s along with Martha Graham and Doris Humphrey. At the time, dance began moving toward a more natural and free style.

Weidman died on 15 July 1975 in New York City.
