Biography
German chemist. Otto Wallach conducted early research into aniline dyes and known for his pioneer work in organic chemistry. In 1887 he identified the compounds known as terpenes. In 1895 he discovered what is now called Wallach's rule.
Wallach was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1910.
He never married.
He died 26 February 1931, Göttingen, Germany.
