Biography

Italian publicist, politician, a member of the Communist Party and editor of the Communist Party Journal; a member of Parliament from 1987. Starting initially as a member of the National Steering Committee, Veltroni has held positions in the Municipal Council of Rome, Chamber of Deputies, Commission on Radio and TV Services and is currently a member of the Culture, Science and Education Commission.

Veltroni is married with one child.
