Biography
American actor and comedian, noted family member, he is the younger brother of actor/comedian Dick Van Dyke.
Never as well-known as his brother, Jerry is perhaps most recognized for eight seasons of playing the genial sports coach on an American TV sitcom aptly named "Coach" beginning in 1989.
Married twice with three children from his first marriage, he retired to live on his ranch. One of his daughters, Kelly, committed suicide November 17, 1991, age 33.
