Biography

French comedian actor of stage, TV and film, performing over 130 various parts on stage; the creator of the "Fondation du Theatre" in 1984. His first comedy award was in 1953, the same year that he became a Member of the Comedie-Francaise. From 1960-1984, he was a Fellow Member and from 1984 he became an Honorary Member. Toja was the Director of the National Theater Odeon from 1979-1983 and was the Administrator of the same theater where Moliere used to play.

Toja remained unmarried and died of cancer 3/23/1996, Neuilly sur Seine, France.
