Biography
Belgian-Flemish novelist of great importance, recognized for his many novels of country life, religion and animals, written with humor and grace.
He and his wife had 13 or 14 children. Timmermans suffered with a bad heart, and after spending his last two years in bed, died on 1/24/1947, Lier, Belgium.
