American executive and CEO of J.B. Hunt Transportation Services, a large national diesel trucking company. With ownership of over 50,000 shares, he is cutting capital spending and aiming for 20% earnings gains. Thompson is a graduate of the U. of Arkansas with a BSBA degree in 1978 and spends most of his free time on church activities, being a devout Southern Baptist.
