Bob Marley grew up wanting to be a musician. He taught himself the guitar and was singing, writing music and performing in his teens. As a Jamaican, smoking marijuana was a part of the culture he grew up in. In many aspects, the medicinal qualities and mystical spiritual qualities of marijuana, helped spread the message of love and redemption that his music was known for.
