Biography
Scottish engineer, educator, and school administrator he was a professor of electrical engineering and first Vice Chancellor of London's City University. He was knighted in 1969.
He married Mary Linton in 1939; they had two sons and a daughter. He died in Teddington, UK on February 18, 1998.
