Biography
American actor most noted for his portrayal of the young and eager crime investigator, Greg Sanders, on "CSI."
Szmanda began acting as a child in school and community theatre. At age 17, he landed the role of "Lysander" in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" where he toured with the troupe to foreign countries including the Ukraine and Russia. He moved to Los Angeles and got a part in another play, "Black Box" where he portrayed a suicidal teenager.
He made his TV debut in 1997 when he was cast as “Jacob Resh”, a skateboarding computer
hacker in series "The Net", Soon after the show was cancelled by the USA Networks cable station, he landed the lead role in "Johnny Dodge" and made frequent guest appearances. His breakthrough TV role came in 2000 when he was chosen for a role on TV's runaway hit series, "CSI."
