Biography
American evangelist whose flamboyant acrobatics on the pulpit brought him to wide popularity. He grew up in an orphanage and entered a baseball career in 1883. Three years later he underwent a conversion experience and left his career in baseball behind. He first became an assistant evangelist, then was ordained in 1903 as a Presbyterian revivalist.
Sunday died on 11/06/1935.
