Biography

American writer distinguished for science-fiction, the winner of the Nebula Award in 1970, the Hugo Award in 1971 and the International Fantasy award in 1953 for his work, "More Than Human." His other works include many anthologies and the book, "Cavier." Sturgeon was first published in September 1939, working many other jobs before becoming a popular author.

His step-father raised him after officially becoming his adopted father.
